Is it just me or do newcatsle have bad fixtures from DGW until the end of the season? Because of that, I'm not especially leaning towards investing in HBA or Cisse, might backfire but I'd rather go Ade + Bale.

I think I will get Cisse just incase, as it could hurt what with many active players having him. I'm not overly bothered about trying to get in Newcastle players though.

I am in the same boat as you.
Would be less transfers to just do Walcott to Demps but I don't want to lose him. But it seems I have too as I have no other funds available.
Also I am unsure about HBA as Newc games all seem difficult, unlike TOT and EVE.
I will do Sess to Pienaar though.
Also thinking of Aguerro->Cisse for 36.
Pienaar (and EVE) have nothing left to play for this season and he probably goes back to TOT at the end of the season so he doesn't need to impress.
I believe you also have RvP as Arsenal cover. In my case, I will have RvP & Vermaelen after transferring Walcott out and I think losing Walcott would not impact much..
Aguero is a beast at home. I'm now planning to keep him for big match on Gw36. It will be Rooney > Cisse for me. Btw, Pienaar is interesting choice... 🙂

Which means there aren't many left and not much to play for(except 4th) if they drop out of CL...

I've got a sneaky feeling mata could be rested at camp nou, if we're out of the battle (down by 3 goals).
Mata was immense last night (even if you remove that controversial goal). He's certainly got the fixtures to further boost his potential. I think RDM realized against Fulham (for the second time) that benching Mata doesn't work.

A rival in one of my leagues told me he was going to go for tevez as a major differential a couple of weeks ago because he was chasing. But in the end he decided not to "on moral grounds". The same guy hasn't had RVP all season. I'm now 108 points ahead of him. Funny that!

While the DGW is fast approaching there is another feature of the FPL end-game that I thought I would add to the mix: the mid-table doldrums. At what point do certain teams start their summer break?
This season is all the more interesting as there are six team that are already caught in this trap – no prospect of European football and no threat of relegation. These are Fulham, Sunderland, Norwich, Swansea, West Brom and Stoke. Is there any strong evidence that form dips at this stage in the season and would this influence decisions for using DGW players from Stoke or Fulham or retaining value players like Siggy.

Anybody else had a bad week? I've been planning for 3 weeks to negotiate this and the following 2 weeks. Starting to feel like I've skimped on this week and will have too many eggs in the one basket for the double game week.9 without hits. Question I want answered is it worth 4point hit to get friedel in for given for an impressive 10 and for rest of season. Ie why was he dropped is he injured.

Have issues with Yak and Nasri - but at the same time if I replace both of them I have to bench somebody and everybody else there has a playable fixture - if I were to bench anybody it would probably be Valencia. Am worried about my lack of DGW players also, probably more than my lack of City cover. So which option do you think?
A) Bale + Jelavic
B) Adebayor + HBA
C) Aguero + Ferguson
D) Cisse + Lennon

Still smarting over the loss of Saylor this year. Feel we were robbed of a fantastic season in both PL & FPL.
Damn right. I know that other teams can point to other players missing out from injury. But saylor was a mainstay of the best defence (actually probably 2nd, after city) in the league. He has missed more than half the season. If he was fit, (and to a lesser extent marveaux too) where would we be now?? We definitely (probably!) wouldn't have lost the games away to norwich and home to west brom if he was playing for a start!
