Disappointed I drunkenly switched the captaincy to Dempsey on Friday night but it could've been worse. Leaves me on 54 points with Given & Petrov still to go and a wildcard activated. Could've been better could've been worse.
Can't decide whether to bring in HBA or Pienaar. Already have Cisse and will bring in Jelavic. Main rival has HBA, so I should probably follow. Thoughts?

If Pienaar plays both games, it's technically a 2 point hit, plus he has 90 minutes extra for attacking points, given Everton and Pienaar's form I'd probably do it

Can't see Terry playing in 2 games of DGW - he has played in Chelsea's last 3 and will likely play on Tues v Barca. With Cup Final on Sat week if he plays both games of DGW he will have played 7 games in 20 days.
Save 4 points and play Enrique as he has a DGW (or Kompany if you think they can keep Utd out).

today's game, along with your theory has convinced me not to take an 8 point hit defensively.
I will still take an 8 point hit, but will now get a DGW mid and striker who can make those points back. I will still get a defender in though, as I am dumping Kolarov for Terry. When you think about that, Kolarov will play 0 games in 36, Terry will play 2. So it's a -2 transfer at worst. The others will be Pienaar and Jelavic.
I did some math analysis on different scenarios on defenders for a hit in dgw....
As I explained to you other day, the dgw player needs to get 2 cs for a net 6 pt gain, tricky that unless they are a top 4 club that say that are tight at the back.
And still if ther person you traded for a hit got a cs, that is net 2pts against their x2 cs.
So I don't think it's worth the hit is your sgw playe got decent game.
Moral of story... Hit for defnders.No way. Hit for a dgw def not really worth it, unless they get 2 cleanes.

But as I say the issue is Kolarov will get 0 minutes anyway, so even if it is a 4 point hot, if that defender plays 2 games (or 1 with a CS) the hit is made back.
I think taking out a nailed on defender for a top team (ie Verm) is foolish, but if I don't sell Kolarov, I am essential forced to play Evans, who is virtually guaranteed no to get a CS, or Verm who is unlikely to.
I understand your logic 100%, but I think the Kolarov case is different, as it is essentially a dead spot in my team.

If you got a non playing def a dgw is probably best week to shift them, but wouldn't do a Evans, caulker for a hibbert or Simpson for a HIT for example this week regardless of their fixtures

Pienaar and Jelavic are my other 2 coming in, so like I said, could argue it's a feebie, or, say it;s like -2 as Kolarov will get me nowt anyway.
Lesson learned for transferring out Rooney for Tevez.
Oh well, that'll teach me to be greedy. Should have followed my own advice and taken out RVP instead.

Oh well, we live and learn by our mistakes Nomar, you will not hear me moan, it was my choice and mine alone. There is too much gloating and moaning on here IMO.
If you make a bad transfer, it's is no one's fault but your own, people can offer advice, doesn't mean you have to take it.
Will look to get Rooney back in in 37 for Cisse.
Don't say that it will be my lesson too , because just ditch RVP and get in Jelavic ~
