With the bumper Gameweek 36 decided on Wednesday night, and finalised with bonus points on Thursday, we are down to just four Fantasy managers chasing glory in the Paddy Power Cup VI.

As you would expect, we had monster scores all round in the Quarter-Finals, with dannn‘s respectable 85 nowhere near the grade…

It looked like all four ties would go as expected, with the highest-ranked side in each all notching centuries. However, rank outsider ajay_kl upset the apple cart and produced a brilliant 110 to eliminate Rickys Army by just four points (effectively three considering their respective overall ranks).

On to the Semis then, where only one of our final four will go home empty-handed…

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

Fixtures to be played over Gameweek 37. Good luck to all four Semi-Finalists!

Siggy owners... what you doing this week? My sub midfielder is Surman so not going to play him and not keen on going 4 at the back.

Was hoping to save a transfer to do 2 next week - Demps > VDV & Jela / Cisse > Aguero.

the only way i could do Jela>Aguero would be to do Siggy > Maloney this week.

Or I could do Siggy > Moses this week & Cisse > Aguero next to avoid any hits.

    Thoughts??

          D. Nothing. Or B - better but without that Cisse > Jelavic. I think Cisse will sneak in one. You have RVP and Rooney and you've already got Pienaar as an Everton coverage. McClean > Moses looks great.

My midfield is currently VDV, Pienaar, Nani & Bale

I want to have both Valencia and Nani in my Team, I also want to have Dempsey.
Any way to get them both in? Im not getting rid of Nani BTW! Lol
    All advice appreciated!

    Thanks lads 🙂

Well, if you really wanna gamble, I'd say VDV. This could be the week VDV finally earns a 2 or 3 points.

Is Cahill and Cisse ➡ Verm and Rooney worth a 4 point hit? If not which of the two transfers should I do? Thanks

I would stick with Cisse. Think he might sneak one in inside City's net. Most probably will do a Cahill to Vermaelen but, again, Norwich might score, for me. 😀

    My team for the week:

    Mignolet

    Terry Jags Walker

    Bale Pienaar Valencia Dempsey

    RVP Rooney Cisse

    Krul Siggy Kompany Caulker

    Good to go?

    Evening Gents,

A bit of help would be much appreciated. I have a 40 point lead to defend. Used my FT to get Rooney back in and have 2.7m in the bank. Very worried about my keeper/defense for the last two weeks. In general I don't not like the idea of taking a hit for a defensive player but I am pretty tempted to this week. Any suggestions? Thinking of shipping one of Turner/Evans or maybe even Mig/Krul but not sure who to get in. Verm or Walker possibly?? Or Friedel if I was to go the keeper route. Either worth a hit????

    Mignolet
    McAuley, Evans, Jagielka
Van der Vaart, Valencia, Dempsey, Sessegnon
    Rooney, Jelavic, Van Persie

    Krul, Turner, Sigurdsson, Caulker

    Cheers!

consensus here seems to be it's not worth taking the hit for a defender but I have a very similar seem and just did Caulker -> Verm, Simpson -> Walker for -4. My thinking is that both may have shots at getting attacking returns too.

Krul vs Ming is my final dilemma, I think they will both concede but Krul may get more save points, currently have Ming though on the off chance that Sunderland keep a clean sheet. Anyone know their CS record away from home?

I have the answer to your Krul/Mig Dilema and its not just about save points. City attacking - Newcastle one of leaders in conceding pks. Krul has a good pk save ratio. I think that tips it over the top for Krul in case any doubt is still there.

last 2 weeks of season - I expect goals so I wouldnt do it unless I felt pretty confident of cs and attacking points, which Im not really confident of any teams these last 2 weeks. I wouldnt sweat it. 40 pt lead will be easier to make up if you take point hits than if he ends up making 8 extra points because of defence. He's the one that needs to be taking risks, not you. He knows you going to captain RVP so he will perhaps take his shot there and the season will be already won for you this week.

Cheers lads. Still a bit confused as to what to do. I see your point about Krul but a little apprehensive about playing a keeper against an in form City playing for the title.

    Do I :
    A. swap Rooney to RVP (have Jelly and Cisse, so don't want to change either of those)
    B. use my FT to swap Evans (price no issue)
    C. keep my FT and play Rooney, Jelly, Cisse / McAuley, Huth, Wheather

Does anyone else think that Walcott being out could possibly lower Van Persie's scoring chance. Walcott has after all assisted so many of RVP's goals this year.

struggling this week, already used free tf to sign RVP

    Vorm/Krul
    Verm Santon Enrique
    Sess Dempsey Bale Valencia
    Cisse Jelavic RVP(c)

    (Siggy, BAE, Evans)

1 Vorm or Krul (looks like i’ll be forced into playing Santon)
2 Sess and Dempsey before Siggy?
    3. Should I ship BAE or Evans out for Evra/Kompany for a 4pt hit?
