Two Gameweeks left, then. Mini leagues are on the line now and with many Fantasy managers loading up on last week’s double Gameweek options, plenty will be scouting the market as they look to freshen up their squads. With so much still on the line at the top and bottom of the table, we turn to a trio of players with everything still to play for..

Adel Taarabt

With a Gameweek 38 trip to the Etihad unlikely to harvest no more than a hammering as City go for the title, QPR’s final home game of the season may well determine their survival. Mark Hughes’ outfit sit fourth from bottom on goal difference alone and points will be essential this weekend if they are to have any hope of avoiding the drop.

A look at their recent form at Loftus Road offers the R’s plenty hope. Four back-to-back victories, with Liverpool, Arsenal, Swansea and Spurs all tasting defeat, suggests Stoke are in for a tricky time when they arrive on Sunday afternoon. One player more than any in Hughes’ squad has stood head and shoulders above the rest in that winning run – Adel Taarabt.

Back from a one-game suspension after receiving two yellows in the Gameweek 35 win over Spurs, the Moroccan has much to atone for. Producing a total of two goals, three assists and nine bonus points over those afore-mentioned fixtures, with his Fantasy Premier League returns reading (5, 9, 12, 8), the 5.8 priced midfielder will need to step up once again if QPR are to get the better of the Potters. Owned by just 3.1% of Fantasy managers heading into the weekend, Taarabt is afforded the perfect platform to demonstrate his ability to produce the goods, just when it matters most.

Javier Hernandez

It’s been a frustrating season for the young Mexican to say the least. Thirteen goals last term and an instant up front understanding with Wayne Rooney had suggested he’d be an automatic first-choice pick, but the campaign hasn’t gone quite to plan.

Danny Welbeck’s return from a loan spell at Sunderland last term has seen Hernandez take a back seat on far too many occasions. Despite starting just 17 games, though, the 9.9 priced forward has still managed to find the net on 10 occasions – Welbeck, in comparison, has scored nine goals from 23 starts.

With Nigel De Jong’s challenge at the Etihad on Monday evening putting paid to Welbeck’s chances of making this Sunday’s home clash against Swansea, Hernandez seems set to step up once again as United go hunting for goals. Sir Alex Ferguson will surely revert to a 4-4-2 and his side will attack from the first to the last whistle in their attempt to whittle down City’s eight goal advantage – with a mere 2.9% ownership, Hernandez could be an inspired differential this weekend.

Emmerson Boyce

While many are eyeing up Victor Moses and Shaun Maloney ahead of Wigan’s trip to Blackburn and home clash with Wolves, we’re opting for someone a little more left field. Boyce has recently flourished in his role as a wing-back for the Latics – with Moses pushing forward on the right wing, the 4.3 priced defender has been afforded plenty space to operate in a more advanced role and picked up a goal and assist in his last couple of appearances.

Handed a chance to seal their survival against the bottom two clubs, Roberto Martinez’s in-form side arrive at Ewood Park on the back of a 4-0 thrashing of Newcastle – the Magpies’ recent run of seven wins in the last eight puts that firmly scoreline into perspective. With three back-to-back clean sheets at the DW, Boyce offers potential at both ends of the pitch for Wigan’s last couple of Gameweeks and, with a mere 0.7% Fantasy ownership, could well be worth a punt ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Anybody have any good bets on for the weekend?

I fancy Arsenal to win 3-0, and RVP to score anytime, seems like printing money that one 🙂

      So for a hit...

I am guessing its either Simpson > Kaboul

      or Ade > Rooney

Hard to say between Nani and Rooney however as they will both be in the points. I can see a 3 or 4 goal Utd score.

    Chasing a 1 point lead….

    My team:
    Szczesny Bogdan
    Evans Caulker Kelly Turner Simpson
    VDV HBA Pienaar Petrov Dempsey
    Jelavic Cisse Tevez

    Opponents team:
    Vorm Bogdan
    Vermaelen Kelly Hibbert Evans Cahill
    Ramires Valencia Pienaar Siggy Dempsey
    Jelavic Rooney Aguero

Do not know what to do at all and I only have 1 Ft.
Get in RVP for Tevez as he does not have him? But my defence is shitty I need to get at least 1 defender (Vermaelen)?! or do not get any defenders because I think a clean sheet is not sure, I can get both witha -4 pts hit but I do not want to decrease my points as the difference is only 1 point everything will matter.

So Please HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP guys have no idea what to do.

The problem for you is that barring RVP, his front three are killer this week. Newcastle Man C will be an open game, Newcastle one of tops in conceding pks, and Man City have plenty of players to draw them. I expect 1 or 2 from the spot for Aguero. Rooney Im nuetral about but hard to deny his potential, and Jelavic has a great fixture, although with not much left to play for, Im wondering if Straq will get a start after the DGW hectic week. I think the biggest threat to you for this week and next is him having aguero. Next week is at home v qpr, so if you want to protect position, get in Aguero - He will prob be captaining Roo like everyone else, I would say captain aguero - that is if you have funds to bring him in for cisse.

but overall, including defnce, his team is trumping your team - potentially by a big margin, so your refusal to make key changes could cost you this week. Its ok to spend 4 pts or even 8, if it drastically changes your prospects and if 1 of those changes is a captain choice that can give you a huge haul.

Thanx Natas for your advice, I really liked the Idea of saving the transfer, I might do that.
Ok so do you think I play with attack rather than Defence, But it wont make sence to get Aguero while I already have Tevez so either keep Tevez or get RVP or Rooney. Or get Vermaelen or get verm and one of the attackers. so what would it be what would u recommend. Do u recommend for defence?

I mention aguero because hes on spot kicks against a team that is near tops if not tops in conceding pks. Also, it cant hurt to double up for Man city v qpr for next gw. I dont think you should get Verm as he has him already and I feel you will be wasting a transfer on someone who wont bring you additional benefit over your opponent, nor will it kill you even if he does end up with 6 points. If you dont like aguero, then just get RVP. To have him as a differntial captain for this gameweek is an amazing occurence.

as for attack vs defence - it is the seasons end and I expect alot of goals. Many teams still have something to fight for, and ones playing for pride have nothing to lose. I think clean sheets will be very difficult to come by these last two weeks.

                    1st and 2nd have a big lead but between 3rd, 4th and 5th (me) there;s only a 9 point gap

I've already taken a 4 point hit so do you think bringing in RVP for another hit is worth it? Don't think either of them have him but they may have brought him in...

Lol this is the thing, I reckon he will score this week but not as much as say RVP or Rooney

I've got a nasty feeling that Rooney and RVP will really perform for their last home games of the season and most of my rivals have one or the other...

Jelly/Cisse//Tevez doesn't look as strong as it did earlier in the week

        thanks guys..

I don't reckon Newc will keep a cleanie against MCI or EVE.

But Tot may get 1 or 2!

Caulker was other option but he is at home next week for their last game vs pool who don't travel well. Possibly tired after FA cup too.

Newcastle can keep clean sheets. I'd recommend Jevans to Kaboul instead. And I don't know if it's worth a hit to lose Ade against Villa could backfire.

I didn't consider Jevans because i think he will be ok to play Sun next week.

No - Aguero will outscore RVP this year - Norwich not so bad away defensively against big teams. Aguero will go mental at Newcastle. Should be a high scoring game.

    Hi All,
Chasing a 40 point lead in the last 2 weeks!

    Current Team
    Schwarzer
    Verm Hibbert Walker McCauley
    VDV Bale Moses Valencia
    Kun RVP

    Subs
    Cisse Siggy JEvans

    Already done my free transfer.
    So 2 questions:
    - Should I play Cisse and put McCauley on the bench?
    - Spend 4points to trade Cisse to Jelly?

Leader has Cisse. No prizes for second........

    Thanks for any advice!

Play cisse, but dude, if you're 40 back, transfer cisse for Jelavic and hope for something huge from Jelly. You've got nothing to lose by taking a hit at this late stage given your situation. Good luck!
