Just three days removed from their forgettable FA Cup Final meeting, Liverpool and Chelsea meet once more. Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Downing, Henderson, Shelvey, Maxi, Suarez, Carroll.

Chelsea XI: Turnbull, Ferreira, Ivanovic, Terry, Bertrand, Essien, Romeu, Ramires, Sturridge, Malouda, Torres.

Hoping to avoid the worst tally in over 60 years for home points in a season, Kenny Dalglish plays Andy Carroll (at the expense of Craig Bellamy) alongside Luis Suarez following the impact he made on Saturday. There’s three other changes that see Jamie Carragher, Maxi Rodriguez and Jonjo Shelvey replace Jose Enrique, Steven Gerrard and Jay Spearing.

With a season-defining game awaiting in Munich later this month, a much-changed Chelsea line-up take to the field. There’s only three survivors from the weekend, with Champions League Final suspendees John Terry, Ramires and Branislav Ivanovic all keeping their place.

    Essien used to be a cracking player but his days are numbered now. He used to be about having a great engine and getting box to box but he doesn't have the legs anymore. And why is Malouda still on the wage bill? He looks like he is on his holidays every week. Mental to keep someone like that.

      Malouda is gone after this season, pretty much saved his ass in the club by having a strong finish to last year...

      What has happened to Malouda? Doesnt seem too long ago he was scoring nearly every week and was playing really well. Essien is past it, injuries havnt helped him.

        The careers of Malouda and Kuyt have really tailed off. Malouda is French. The bad kind anyway. Don't know what you're gonna get.

      Essien may not be as good as a couple years ago BUT Chelsea's form changed immediately AVB left AND Essien returned from injury with Chelsea's defense (other than tonight) showing strength again.

    So with a win out of reach maybe Mata/Lampard may stay benched. Also I think it will be a full strenght lineup against Blackburn to get a good result before the CL final and keep confidence high after this hash tonight.

    Ivanovic still a decent option for next week? Way Chelsea are playing tonight am a little worried he's not a great option. Surely they will be better next week at the Bridge v Rovers?

              Kompany would be the first shout for me, Baines is doubtful isn't he? Huth could be good but really I'd say Stoke don't care any more. Ivanovic might be suspended if he keeps up the filthy play.

    Any players that have been disappointing this season fpl wise, that could be cheap next season but may be worth a punt. Example would be maybe nzog, bent possibly downing?

            I reckon they'll sign him, that's my feeling towards it. A few bob floating around, they don't need to make major signings since their team is quite capable so they'd be able to make a decent offer for him.

      As long as McLeish and Kenny are in charge of their teams, there is no chance any of them are coming near mine. Potential for Vidic to experience a bit of a drop though, which would be nice.
