We’re delighted to announce that Fantasy Football Scout will be supporting Picklive and their soon to be released Euro 2012 games during the summer, with a Scout League to follow. What’s more, we’ve got on board with them for the final game of the season, just in time for them to throw £1000 in the prize pot for their new weekly game based on the Premier League – with an exclusive Scout offer on the table.

Picklive is a new breed of Fantasy Football that’s previously delivered short, sharp games based on a single match. I’ve been wanting to work with their games for sometime – they’re quick, simple and use Opta data for their scoring – something that will come in pretty handy for our members next season. They’re a great fit for us and the games accompany our season-long Fantasy campaigns rather nicely.

While Picklive have stayed true to their roots of short games based on live matches, the new weekly game is a little different – it cuts down the ruleset to something that will be familiar to all and allows you to draft in a starting XI for a full week’s fixtures.

The final Weekend prize pot game costs a tenner to enter, allowing you to pick your eleven for Sunday’s matches – limited only by the three player per team ruling. Click here to get involved – myself and Andy are already in the hat and awaiting your rival lineups.

What’s more, Fantasy Football Scout visitors get an extra bonus – enter the code ‘ffscout’ when you sign up to Picklive and you’ll get a free £5 when you make your first deposit. You’ll need to register before Euro 2012 to get your fiver so get in early now and have a punt at Sunday’s final fling.

You must be verified aged 18 or over to open an account and Picklive’s terms and conditions apply.

We’ll bring you details of their Euro 2012 games and the Scout setup very soon and we’ve more announcements to come. Don’t go anywhere – there’s no Fantasy Football break this summer.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

It's a lot simpler than PM - that had an auto auction which worked quite well but did frustrate at times.

On first glance you think oh this is great fantasy, opta stats and money!
But I think the odds of winning will be very slim, because everyone's teams will be similar in the weekly game so it could come down to a yellow card!

If that is the case and loads entered, you would need to pick flair differentials to separate yourself from the pack

But if everyone tries to pick differentials then you might as well go with the most obvious team, as everyone else will have differentials.

Can't see anything in the rules about points scoring based on Opta stats either.

Especially looking at his recent points, hes bound to find the end of his offencive points. I could be wrong, so not trying to argue but taking a hit on the final day for a defender is not resoned IMO. Enrique could get a CS as well easy.

I've got Verm, Walker, Enrique, (Evans, Simpson) and I'm almost certainly taking a 4 point hit to bring Clichy in for Evans - no guarantees that Enrique will even play.

You've got Kelly who should at least start, so it's a bit trickier, but I say take the hit.

I think he should start seeing as he didn't last time out. He's had plenty of rest already and more would probably be counter-productive for Chelsea as he'd be beginning to lose match sharpness.

It is confusing, especially as i was wanting to use a Greek keeper because of their impressive defense, up against a Poland side (lowest ranked in the comp at 65th) even if they are home.

Greece have used 3 different keepers in their last 3 matches, Karnezis played in the most recent game, a 1-1 draw with Belgium

After reading lots of posts through the week it seems that most Cisse & Jelavic owners who want Aguero/Tevez are shipping out Cisse rather than Jelavic.

Just wondering why that is considering the form Cisse is in and if Baines is back for Everton then Jel won't be on pens.

    Krul Vorm
    JEvans Caulker Walker Kelly(FUL) HIbbert
    Bale Moses Dempsey Pienaar BArfa
    Rooney RvP Cisse

4 points ahead in my ML. 1 FT and 0.3 in the bank.

The lack of City players bothers me slightly. Don't really want to take out Rooney or RvP for Aguero (unless someone can convince me otherwise) and loathe to take a 4-point hit to get him in. Not convinced by City's midfield.

I'm thinking of ignoring City and doing Dempsey > VdVaart to pile up on Spurs players.

Hi there, I'm Olly and I work at Picklive.

The reason that there are charges is because we are charged for every deposit and non UK withdrawal. We aren't trying to rip anyone off and the charges simply cover the costs that are incurred in the process. We're a relatively small company and therefore don't have our own payment platform or the ability to just swallow the charges like large bookies can.

If you are abroad the best option is to withdraw to a Moneybookers account (they're free to set up) as the charges are much lower on that.

If you have any other questions then please let me know, or drop me an email to olly@picklive.com.

Not at all, they should make money from the time and effort they put in.

However, they have membership fees for those wanting full access, ads on the site and an affiliation with Paddy Power already.

When will it stop? They don't want to spread themselves too thin and lose sight of what this site is actually about.

We're working with Picklive because we want to open up beyond FPL. Picklive is different - it's quick to play and has prizes. The other game we're looking to work with is different too. Hopefully more on that on Monday - that one is free to play.

Site content will always be my main priority - that's what I love doing but we need to widen our scope a bit with a few more games. Of course, it's up to folk here whether they want to play.

Congratulations on the partnership with Picklive FFS, but I'm not sure I will avail of the offer.

Sounds a tad expensive and considering most of our skillsets are very much orientated to the FPL game (and for some of us online betting), I'm not sure I want to put £10 down on something when I have no discernible edge on the huge opposition there is likely to be.

Maybe as a one off I might try it next season if there are good reviews on the site. One for the gamblers this weekend though.

But where's the edge? I can't get on the site from work (I'll check it out later), but from what I have gathered there aren't even prices. You just pick an IX with a limit of 3 players per team. If so that's even worse than everyone having wildcards as budget isn't even a factor?

Is the edge supposed to be our superior football knowledge? Unlike some, I don't claim to have that. £10 as a one off bet on an accumulator of anytime goalscorers, assists, clean sheets etc. I don't know, it seems awkward...

I was walking home the other day and suddenly thought, wouldnt it be brilliant if there was a betting site where you could have 1 week battles with your mates...turns out this is basically it...! (altho still think a good addition would be a function where you can search for a mate, then 'challenge' him an amount of money over that 1 GW...

I sadly already lose far too much every season betting on things i dont want to happen.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

We all run MLs. My ML has a weekly cash prize for the team with the top score and end of year cash prizes. It works pretty well and it works around the current FPL format which we all have experience in. Springing your wildcard at the right time can often win you the weekly cash prize but you also have to work within the rules (budget, one free transfer, one wildcard and one January wildcard) if you want to compete in the more expensive overall cash prize.

My point is, we are perfectly capable of organising these type of things privately with our mates. This is therefore not a lure for me to play Picklive.
