It’s time to wipe the slate clean and start afresh with our captaincy options once again, as Fantasy managers ready themselves for the final round of group matches to begin tomorrow evening. With all four sides standing a chance of progressing to the last eight, defence is not an option for either of the quartet – now is the time to go on the front foot and, with no clean sheets in any of the Group A games thus far, Fantasy expectations will be high:

Current group leaders Russia square up to Greece, with Alan Dzagoev offering the main goal threat. The 7.8 priced midfielder has notched three times already, though Andrei Arshavin’s trio of assists has helped the Arsenal man to 13 points in the McDonald’s game. Roman Shirokov’s attacking menace from the midfield three could well play a part, while Aleksandr Kerzhakov may face a battle to hold down a first-team place after missing 11 chances over his two appearances – Roman Pavlyuchenko is waiting in the wings to replace him.

The Greeks are trickier to predict. Only one player – Giorgos Samaras – has started up front in their two matches so far, with Theofanis Gekas and Dimitrios Salpingidis grabbing goals against Czech Republic and Poland respectively after climbing off the bench. Konstantinos Mitroglou was afforded a 19 minute sub role against the Czechs but could earn a call-up to the starting XI as Santos reassesses his forward options.

Poland’s remit tomorrow night is simple – win against the Czech Republic and they are through. Skipper Jakub Blaszczykowski has had a hand in both his side’s goals so far, providing an assist against Greece before notching the crucial equaliser in the match with Russia – he looks set to be inspirational once more for Franciszek Smuda’s side. Robert Lewandowski’s threat up front will also be crucial, while Ludovic Obraniak’s creativity and set-piece duties have seen him provide plenty of opportunities for his team mates.

The Czech Republic will be hoping Vaclav Pilar can continue his goalscoring streak in their crucial clash with the co-hosts. The midfielder has notched in both his side’s opening two games and, priced at just 5.1, has proven to be a cut-price gem for Fantasy managers. Petr Jiracek’s move to a right wing role against Greece last time out saw him grab the opener and, with Tomas Rosicky still a doubt due to an Achilles problem, the creativity of Jaroslav Plasil looks more key than ever. Up front, Milan Baros is likely to lead the line and will be keen to pick up in performance after a disappointing couple of games so far.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

JK's Order of Valour Roll Sheet for Matchday 2.

    Gomez over CR7

Captain switch from Dzagoev to Gomez

    Torres up front

    Keeping faith in Mandzukic

Subbing in Rami (7) over Lescott (2)

Result GW -8, Overall Rank -14

In short, do not be afraid to take a gamble, sometimes they do not pay off, but when they do they pay off big.

πŸ˜€ who'da thunk that the heads of both the decepticons and the autobots were irish and shared an interest in fantasy football. we shud be at each others throats, battling for supremacy, and not wasting our time chasing imaginary points garnered by sweaty men in a field. age has mellowed me out tho, i guess. seeking dominion over the puny human race has lost its appeal. these days i'm as likely to be locked in my room with a copy of auto-trader and a tub of axle grease

He has earned his rest - 3 games in 1 week is alot - Germany arent technically through, but Klose is hardly a bad replacement - if they go down, or if tied they can always bring gomez in. They are still a much stronger side than denmark with gomez on the bench

    Absolute dog shit...

Can honestly say I can't stand anything to do with this country at times like this. The plastic fans, the press, television, the rash opinions, the false expectations, the knee jerk analysis and unjustified predictions.... all make me feel sick with embarrassment.

Try and understand that Theo Walcott is not a world class footballer, not even close. He only looks any good when coming on against fatigued sides, or against extremely slow defenders like Jonas Olsson. He got very lucky with his goal and is not the answer to anybodies prayers. He should be nowhere near this side.

Sweden are one of the weaker sides in the tournament and beating them 3-2 does not mean we have a chance of beating anyone else, if anything it highlighted our weaknesses. 4-4-2 is not right for England and Scott Parker cannot operate in this system. He was completely exposed tonight, constantly out of position and gifting chances to a poor side. The fact that Sweden brought on Wilhemsson as a contingency plan (a player that couldn't even get anywhere near the Bolton first team) tells us everything we need to know.

The sooner we get knocked out and all the mongs get back to watching X-Factor again, the better.

I think he will be. Germany have such a huge depth to their squad. They won't play a second team, a bunch of first teamers will be in, but they could easily turn to Klose who is by no means a bad replacement. Gomez can come on as a sub if results aren't going well, but I think he'll get rested.

You also have to remember that Germany are still a much stronger side than Denmark and that Klose is hardly a shitty replacement. 3 games 1 week is alot to ask, especially after earning your rest with 2 wins. Germany can easily win this game without Gomez, or Podolski. They have many options. Better to go into the Quarter finals fully rested.

Thinking that he WILL be rested isn't smart, but discarding that scenario isn't smart either imo. I think they will play what is largely a first XI but with 1-3 players having a rest. Kroos should be in imo, and there is a certain risk Schürrle and Klose gets a runout too I'd suspect.

To clarify: I'm not saying it will happen but it might be wise to wait until closer to the German game to see if we get more info.

I'll say it again people, Uefa FF Group A was a real thriller tonight lads. It was a pleasure to be part of it.

Good luck to the remaining teams who are now all in with a shout of progressing.

"It was a pleasure to be part of it", you havent left yet. You've still got a job to do, qualify in style and get the full nine points.

      We lost tonight πŸ™

Need to beat Christina and Sporting now.

The only problem I see is Chalkias being injured but I don't think there is a staring keeper that you can afford to replace him with.
