As promised, our Sky Sports Stats tables are now live and available in our Members Area. These new tables can be found under Player Stats, with the additional button giving access to tables that list the key stats that govern the Sky Sports Fantasy Football bonus points.

For those who haven’t noticed the rule change in the Sky Sports game, players now earn 2 points for achieving 60+ successful passes in a match, with a further 2 points awarded for players winning four or more tackles. The game will use Opta data to award these bonus points.

In our stats tables you can view Successful Passes and Tackles Won for last season’s players and we’ve added tables that record the number of bonus points players would have been awarded based on this data. We’ve broken these down into passes and tackles, added an overall bonus total column and included a minutes per bonus stat so you can assess players according to time played.

As with all our stats, you can filter these by a series of intervals, including last four matches, last four Gameweeks and Home and Away matches.

Of course, we’ll be running these tables next season so you’ll be able to apply these filters to the stats as things progress to spot those players taking advantage of the new bonus rules.

Right now, this data is not available in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game or anywhere else – only our members have access to these stats.

We’ll be following this up with a full in-depth article for members, analysing the trends that these tables reveal and identifying the likely targets, in terms of bonus points, for the coming season.

If you’re yet to register for the Sky Sports game, you can do so here. Please note, the game is only available to those in the UK and Ireland.

The overall winner of the Sky Sports Fantasy game gets £25,000. Our league is entitled FFScout and our PIN code is 8004519: we have a home cinema system worth £600 up for grabs for the winner.

If you want access to these new stats and want details on becoming a member, click here for instructions on signing up and more details on what’s on offer.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    What is your considered opinion of Dawson being nailed on? I read that he is now captain but can't find anything to confirm this... do I just have to wait?

      He is not captain. AVB just said he was considering him. I think it's a case of wait and see at the moment, especially with Spurs potentially having a leaky defence due to AVB's tactics. I won't be going anywhere near them for the near future anyway.

    Oh, one last thing.

    SAF: "I don't have a gut feeling on it at the moment, I must admit. We're not getting any breakthrough with Arsenal. It's difficult to say why they're operating this way. I don't know what their thoughts are because they're not giving anything away. I find it quite amazing that a club can pay €45million for a 19-year-old boy. To make a mark on everyone - to tell everyone that PSG are here - they've signed Thiago Silva from Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. They must have spent about £150m in the last month. As you know, the only deterrent to that is UEFA. In the conditions of European football, you don't qualify for Europe by winning the league or coming second - you only get in by invitation. That's where, hopefully, UEFA can have some power. When somebody's paying £45m for a 19-year-old boy you have to say the game's gone mad."

          Putting aside the SAF source, surely everyone realizes that footy payrolls without limits/restraint will destroy the organized game.

          It's here that American sports excel. FIFA would do well to cast a glance and consider our various systems of maintaining a funding/spending structure that preserves the leagues and competitiveness.

            The objectives of financial fair play:

            • to introduce more discipline and rationality in club football finances;
            • to decrease pressure on salaries and transfer fees and limit inflationary effect;
            • to encourage clubs to compete with(in) their revenues;
            • to encourage long-term investments in the youth sector and infrastructure;
            • to protect the long-term viability of European club football;
            • to ensure clubs settle their liabilities on a timely basis.

              FFP is a joke. Who cares the objectives? They haven't the ability or will to enforce their vague guidelines.

              No specific rules.
              No real consequences.
              No desire to actually implement the first or second.

    I'm considering having 2 rotating goalkeepers but then putting the rotation planner to one side. I'll take a look at the fixtures alright but other than that, I'm just going to pick the best 13 players in my opinion. Other than goalkeeper choices, this rotation lark is overrated imo.

        While we'll all deny it, I think we'll all be making a few transfers at the back before the first few GWs are over so when that happens, people's rotating DEFs have been thrown out of sync. It's actually much safer to simply pick the best.

      What happens when your 2 big Defs play away to big clubs on the same week and you never checked that your cheapies are in a good position to step in ?
      I know a lot of people will be playing there 4.0 ones on week 3 cos events overtook their plans and they forgot to get rid of their Chelsea defs.

        I've seen literally nobody on this website cover themselves for that occurence, Podge.

        The most common thing round these parts is the so-called 'three-team rotation.' This is then combined (for the most part) with, say, Cole and Lescott.

        I'd doubt very much that people adopting these tacics are selecting a trio of cheapies that all happen to have great fixtures on the weeks when City and Chelsea face tough opposition.

        The predicament which you have pointed out is also going to affect those adopting a rotation policy.

                  Fair enough, good luck with it. There's every chance that it'll pay off because GW 3 and 5 aren't that far away. I was expecting these GWs to be later in the season by which time your defence will have had transfers made to it and hence the rotation disrupted. I hope you see my point but, in fairness, you have proved a worthy exception to my theory!

    Here’s version 2 of my “one big hitter” team: Feedback appreciated.

    Vorm / Federici
    Cole / Hughes / Vidic / Cuellar / Coloccini
    Bale / Valencia / Lampard / Piennar / Guthrie
    Aguero / Petric / Graham

    .5 mil left over to switch Cole or Lampard by week 3… Rotating keepers, Cuellar / Coloccini rotation as well, even Petric and Graham have a decent rotation that I don’t mind

      Ive seen a couple of these lately.. and again I ask, is the plan to play 3 defenders?
      If so, U will play with Petric and Graham every gw (or Guthrie+Petric/Graham).
      Guhtrie, at best, will/should score about 100 points this year (great value yes, low points).
      Petric/Graham should end up in the 120-130 region IF they both have a great season.
      To play 2/3 of those players every GW is just not good enough imo.
      However, if this is fairly short term, I guess its worth a go.. but prepare to plan your transfers to get your team as you want it later (Im sure you will find out that atleast 2 big strikers is important)

        Will stop it now.
        Might just add that the whole Petric/Graham thing came up yesterday (Forca?) as a suggestion to make a team with them in it, because they could rotate pretty well and allowing a STRONG 5 man midfield. 3-5-2
        That imo, maybe could work out fine at the start considering Ful/Swa fixtures.

          Last season we saw the forwards as big hitters. RVP, Aguero, Rooney. Going into this season you also have the likes of Jelavic, Cisse, Bent (Lambert's Villa will score more IMHO).

          Gone are the days of the Fabregas/Lampard/Ronaldo Holy Trinity - so I reckon midfield is where the trade-off lies.

          Therefore...I can't see the logic in going with two cheapie forwards to bolster the midfield especially as Lampard has so much competition for goals ow.

      Clyne's fixtures are horrible - good shout after GW 6 though.
      Sunderland can't score in pre-season. McClean out for Pienaar?
      Tevez a risk IMHO - go Torres (to Rooney), Aguero and cheap forward (Petric, Graham etc)

      I was thinking about this today and I think valencia and RVP could be a dream combo. Will def be looking to have both when the fixtures run easy. But yeah in answer to your original question I'll be squeezing rooney and and trying to find an extra mill.

      Rooney out for me and I'll go for Jelavic and Papiss Cissé instead.

      Neither RVP nor Rooney look worth their prices if they are both on the same team especially as they will take points off each other.

          Without pens or free kicks.

          He will still score but I think his score will get seriously dented. Rooney will no doubt drop deeper and probably turn into an assist machine.

      I havent changed my team in a few days, havent changed my back 7 since day 2. I will wait and see, more transfers to come, more pre season games. Tbh, today made me rethink DDG. Not only did he make a good game and a cs, he looked so much more confident and the defenders really trusted him more than I ever saw last season... And I dont read too much into pre season games usually tbh

          Yeah I know, but tonight was actually a good game, being a preseason match. United defended well, DDG was really good and is the cheap way into uniteds defence. Not convinced yet tho. Thinking about the best way to pair him. Do united have another match in preseason perhaps?

Is this a sign Rafael will be rested for the first few weeks because of Olympics, especially now that Brazil are in the final??? I've just picked a team called FIGHT BREAKS OUT XI and the team is as follows:

    P McCarthy, J Terry, R Ferdinand, A Ferdinand, A Cole, C Adam, G Bale, J Barton, E Adebayor, R Van Persie, C Bellamy

    Shame I can't pick Wayne Bridge as well

      Tie a plastic bag around your neck, then describe - in excruciating detail - every act of bullying that has occurred by any person on FFS. Be complete ... if you get drowsy, just take a little nappy and finish later on.

      Then send your bag of complaints, care of the Scout, to Scout Towers. Sorted.
