As promised, our Sky Sports Stats tables are now live and available in our Members Area. These new tables can be found under Player Stats, with the additional button giving access to tables that list the key stats that govern the Sky Sports Fantasy Football bonus points.

For those who haven’t noticed the rule change in the Sky Sports game, players now earn 2 points for achieving 60+ successful passes in a match, with a further 2 points awarded for players winning four or more tackles. The game will use Opta data to award these bonus points.

In our stats tables you can view Successful Passes and Tackles Won for last season’s players and we’ve added tables that record the number of bonus points players would have been awarded based on this data. We’ve broken these down into passes and tackles, added an overall bonus total column and included a minutes per bonus stat so you can assess players according to time played.

As with all our stats, you can filter these by a series of intervals, including last four matches, last four Gameweeks and Home and Away matches.

Of course, we’ll be running these tables next season so you’ll be able to apply these filters to the stats as things progress to spot those players taking advantage of the new bonus rules.

Right now, this data is not available in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game or anywhere else – only our members have access to these stats.

We’ll be following this up with a full in-depth article for members, analysing the trends that these tables reveal and identifying the likely targets, in terms of bonus points, for the coming season.

If you’re yet to register for the Sky Sports game, you can do so here. Please note, the game is only available to those in the UK and Ireland.

The overall winner of the Sky Sports Fantasy game gets £25,000. Our league is entitled FFScout and our PIN code is 8004519: we have a home cinema system worth £600 up for grabs for the winner.

If you want access to these new stats and want details on becoming a member, click here for instructions on signing up and more details on what’s on offer.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Clarke's been talking him up, but we do have a fair few mid-fielders. Brunt's lack of fitness will help him have a chance to get an established slot. I'm tempted...

Yes brought in early in the window and playing regularly. Not sure whether Brunt has had any time, I've not been following that closely, but if he has it's not been much.

For some reason I haven't been able to post this (conspiracy anyone)

But I think Norwich players could be a real surprise package this year.

Particularly their cheap and now seemingly reliable defence and their new play maker and set piece taker Snodgrass. Not to mention all the usual names who could stake a claim to a regular first team spot.

would get torres. eve is basically a 2 pointer. so even if you take a hit for roon, you will only lose 2pts. while to reward is potentially massive. Just look at the fixture. And we know that torres will go mental against those crap defending.

      In torres we believe

I think Torres is extremely good value this year. Even if there was no DGW I would have him in my team as my only Chelsea attacking coverage. He has no rivals and should not be subject to rotation. I actually think people could be making a bad mistake by trading him out straight away.

So last year, I ended in the top 6k but started disastrous(I mean, disastrous)ly. So many mistakes it was actually funny (for everyone else).

This year, I'm hoping for a strong start and aiming for a high finish. So, I could really do with some feedback on this selection:

    de Gea - Federici

    Cole - Hangeland - Baines - McCartney - Fonte

    Mata - Bale - Maloney - Noble - Guthrie

    Aguero - Graham - Torres(+2m)

Any improvements? Mistakes? Masterstrokes? All advice welcomed! 🙂

      too light in mid.

you will be pllaying Mata bale maloney noble every week, which is not cool. Only 2 of them is consistent scorer, and of the 2, one is rotation prone.
Maloney is also quite injury prone, which means you will be playing Guthrie 2pts. from time to time

I like it actually. I see you have gone for an expensive defence by sacrificing mid priced mids to budget mids. I know Mark is doing something similar so you must be in a good place.

For me I think there is too much value in the mid priced mids to pass up. Good luck to you though.

Yeah it just seems like there's more value in defence than you'd get for the equivalent price in midfield (e.g. Baines's points total last year would cost you about 8-9m in MF this year).

The other place where it seems there's good budget value is up front but, unless you're really brave, at least 2 of those positions are pretty much already spoken for!

    Thoughts on my plan here

    DDG, Federici

    Cole, Hangeland, Rangel, Fabio, Clyne

    Bale, Lampard, Pienaar, Taarabt, Noble

    Torres, Tevez, Graham

    3.5m bank

The plan is to be in a position to afford and expensive striker such as Rooney/Aguero/RVP in place of either Torres or Tevez early on. I should also have a bit left over to cover any price rises or jump on any other bandwagons that become necessary. Does the team and plan seem sound?

Good team. good plan also. Not sure if it will work, as if Roon+Kun both exploded in the same GW, you will need to take a hit to bring both it. (you won't want to miss out those points, as many people have both)
However, if you already have one of Kun/Roon, you will save the pts. hit

Belotelli and Silva are going to miss the start due to lack of match fitness. At this stage Dzeko is the only rival and I'd expect him to be on the bench. Pretty confident Tevez will start early doors. As soon as his position comes under threat from a ready to go Belotelli then he is out of my team.

Lampard will play in the pivot role with Mikel. I think the bulk of the Chelsea rotation will occur in the three attacking mid roles where something like 6 players are challenging for the 3 spots. Mata hasn't been involved as much during pre season as Lampard so I would expect Lampard to get more game time early on especially as he will have less rivals for a CM position

I'm not sold on taarbt. Poor fixtures, and we don't know what hughes is going to do with all of them mids

Why noble over malony? Maybe i've missed something, but from what I know they are both going to start for struggling teams, and both are on set pieces. But Malony will be further forward in a more attacking team. West Ham have better fixtures I guess

I doubt lampard will start both games in the DGW

maloney is injury prone, so will be a bit risky to have him. but if i'm not mistaken, last season when he is fit, he will take penalty and free kicks for wigan

Malony isn't as nailed on as Noble and his fixtures aren't as good. Thats my main reasoning there. I've heard people elaborate on this but I don't know enough to comment about Malony's game time.

Taarabt is the key playmaker for QPR and I'm picking them to do well this season. I consider their fixtures reasonable enough and the pre season form of Taarabt has been impressive. However I'm still open to trade him out though especially as I'm weary of any affects he might have as a result of ramadan.

With Lampard its a hard one. The alternative is to go with no chelsea mids but even if he gets 1 1/2 games its still better than 1.

Don't mind it at all Ryan. Sounds strategy that could pay off.
      Taking the Taraabt punt also.
However don't have enough in me to go for Tevez, peace of mind & went for Aguero.
Actually a very simular team to mine, where as I have Aguero u have 1.5 more in the bank & slightly more money in your defence.

i'd probably look into someone like hughes or wilson for fabio. theres more options for you to replace fabio with (fulham and stoke defenders for example) whereas theres less choice in the 4.5 goalkeeper range.

I took it a few years ago, it is easy as hell. But again, it maybe because I am Chinese 😀

also, unless you are trying to change school, GCSE result doesn't matter at all. I didn't realise that until I started researching for application for uni.

all you need is a C in English and Maths. and i you are going to do the geeky science subjects, than A in science may also be prefered, but not necessary

Of course, unless you are trying to apply for Oxford/Cambridge 🙄

anyway, there's some post yesterday about front 6 of villa, and all of them put ireland in the hole.

Lambert also mentioned he will be a key player in the villa team (which just mean that he is less rotation prone)

So Swansea in talks with Kaiserslautern striker Itay Shechter, where would this leave Graham? If Carroll doesn't leave to the irons, then I think I will settle for Petric instead of Graham (I know he just scored a hatrick against Blackpool btw)

Shechter was only the fourth-choice striker for a team that got relegated from the Bundesliga last season. I don't foresee a challenge from the Israeli to Graham's position at all.

In fact, I don't understand why Swansea are signing him in the first place, but that's a different question.

I figure you were right that even 1 game (+ anything else bonus) out of the other 3 is more worthwhile then Ramires. Nitin also informed that Ramires is playing for Brazil just before kickoff.

Note: Still may go back to Ramires. lol.

Yeah, this friendly that Kun is called up for is also going to mess with us. Chance of him being withdrawn? Add to that that Silva might be rested early on...Chelsea rotation...Torres....nightmare.

I don't think Mata is better than him, but that's just my opinion. I think Carzola is a better fantasy player also. With Chelsea's new Midfield players, it's very crowded in there. And that will surely cut down Mata's playing time.

    VP, Defoe, Aguero
    Pienaar, Kagawa, Lamp, Noble, 4.5(Whitehead)?
    Terry, Coloccini, Harte, Shawcross, 4(McCartney)
    Begovic, Federici

Not bad actually. I'd switch Harte -> Cuellar and ShawX -> Rangel though. Maybe go Guthrie in midfield, or switch Terry -> Cole/Ivanovic/Lescott and then get Maloney/Noble instead with the extra 0.5m.

I think I'll keep Harte for the double at least, if he's not getting the time I think he will then I'll dump him. Downgrading Terry seems practical.

If Harte starts then he's a great buy - problem is I think with them signing Shorey he'll almost certainly get rotated. Also, I'm pretty sure someone else took a pen for Reading recently with Harte on the pitch. Good luck though!

I seem to have gone full circle and I'm now back with the team I had a couple of weeks ago - thoughts?

    Friedel, Federici
    Lescott, Hangelaand, Rangel, Cuellar, Gunter
    Lampard, Bale, Taarabt, Noble, Maloney
    Aguero, Torres, Tevez

If any of the MUN (Kagawa/Nani/Valencia) or Spurs mids (VDV/Siggy) look worth having I'll bring them in for Lamps. Main risk is no Rooney, but worst case scenario I either take a hit in GW2 or just get him in for Torres in GW3.

good, but I wouldn't double up on Tevez.
Tevez>Petric maybe? he got just as much chance of scoring a few goals against Norwich as Tevez against southampton. And less likely to be subbed of in the 60mins mark

You think it's worth a gamble to double up for 3 weeks (they'll have SOT and QPR in those 3)? Good chance there'll be a lot of goals in those 2 imo. One of the two will almost certainly go in GW4.

I'm still not sure Petric is 100% nailed on either (Rodallega/Ruiz/Dempsey etc) - think I'd rather Graham at that price. Also, Petric doesn't rotate well with Noble/Maloney.

Again, very similar to mine. I'm happy that i'm on the same lines as a lot of the regulars.

Don't like the lampard pick as I only expect him to play one game, in the defensive position. But he could go big.

I'm probably starting with the same forward line, but looking to get rooney in for one of the city forwards
