This afternoon, we have updated our Pre-Season Guide tab on the home page for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute research ahead of Saturday’s kick-off:

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports and Moving Target articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve added a brief “Scout Notes” synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams.

Below, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – nice to see Mauro Boselli in there, tempting us all with his pre-season goals once again..

6 – Danny Graham
5 – Mladen Petric and Billy Sharp
4 – Djibril Cisse and Sam Baldock
3 – Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, Steven Naismith, James Vaughan, Bobby Zamora, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adam Le Fondre, Mauro Boselli

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Why people think Rooney wont do well at Everton monday night. He could easy hit double figures

I'm starting with Rooney for this reason.

Don't see the point starting with Torres if you're 100% doing Torres > Rooney GW2.

I've gone for Lamps instead as I can't decide on my second midfield big hitter to go alongside Bale. I'll wait 2 (or more) weeks and make a decision then and in the mean time I'll (hopefully) bag some customary Fat Frank goals from late runs/pens

Rooney has been playing like a donkey for the past 6 months or so. He won't be coming anywhere near my team unless
      a) he looks fit
      b) he looks hungry
      c) he's playing up front
      d) he's dovetailing well with Kagawa and/or RVP
      e) United start well - not always the case
There will be a huge number of managers picking him .. good luck.

Just a quick one... need help on my 3rd striker. I have Aguero and Torres as my other 2 with the standard Torres +£2.0 swap for Rooney post GW1 in mind.

I currently have Pogrebnyak OR le Fondre as the 3rd striker due to the double gameweek but am torn and have about £1.5mil if I wanted to replace him.

Firstly which one out of Pogrebnyak and le Fondre will be better?

    Secondly should I:

a.) Put in Pog/fondre and change him after GW1 to Petric/Lukaku/Graham (if so which one)

b.) Put Pog/fondre in and leave him in

c.) Start GW1 with Petric/Lukaku/Graham. If so which one?

    Cheers chaps!!!

one word: AUTOSUB (or is that 2)

I'm semi-serious here, just contemplating as I want 3 Chels players, plus my planned team involves a lot of transfers in the first few weeks, Thought if I WC second week I can throw this thing out for lolz

My leagues aren't overly competitive and could probably win just throwing out whatever the generic FFS team is all season, so if the backfires it will be like a handicap

      I'll get you going.

Bego - doubt over starting role but him + Juusi could be great value this season.

I assume you're starting Lescott each week and rotating the rest? Not a bad approach although I'd be worried about benching too many clean sheets than is good for your health.

Don't like Allen as a pick, I just don't see his appeal. Would rather have Noble for 0.5m less or the wealth of other good picks for 0.5-1m more.

Kagawa is a risk. Be prepared to ship early if he doesn't settle into the first team.

The front line looks solid your overall balance is good.

Not a bad effort considering u have a top heavy strike force.

Only concerns would be Hughes if he is nailed on.
Also fabio and clyne have nasty gw3 fixtures and Ivanovic doesn't have a game. So u may be forced to ship Ivan for a defender, however if Hughes doesn't play then this could give u a problem.

    GK rotation question...
Would you rather have Friedel + Federici (that allows for only 2 away games all season (+ 1 in Fed DGW))
    or
Vorm + Federici (that allows for a home game every single match (except 1 in Fed DGW))

    ???

Friedel is the cheapest choice for Spurs defense unless Dawson gets lots of playing time... if you have other Spurs defense go for Vorm...

I still think it could work out, but I've personally gone 1 def 1 mid 1 fwd.

As long as you've got a decent plan to get the back out over the next couple of weeks, then it's all good. You'll be gutted if they concede both games thougb,

I'm debating quite a risky punt:

    Michu - Bale - Pienaar - Kagawa - McClean

    Compared to my original:

Bale - Pienaar - Ramires - Yaya (Kacaniklic)

Have I gone mad or could this work out?

If RVP joins Man United, I wouldn't risk having Kagawa in the team... He will push Kagawa out of his normal position and he wont be that effective... Else your punts might work out...

You think? I was think that if RVP joins then he could not only be decisive on his own, but have double the class up front to assist.
