This afternoon, we have updated our Pre-Season Guide tab on the home page for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute research ahead of Saturday’s kick-off:

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports and Moving Target articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve added a brief “Scout Notes” synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams.

Below, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – nice to see Mauro Boselli in there, tempting us all with his pre-season goals once again..

        Sunderland and Stoke have looked a bit goal shy pre-season and then there's potentially Southampton at home too not long after pending on how Sagna recovers. I think it's more the price that makes him tempting...

    Please help deciding on this cheap Gk rotation. A or B is better?

    A: Green / Davis - perfect rotation thru the season.
    B: Jaas / Fed - it seems one of favorite pairs on here.

      I'd have him on if he wasn't a rotation risk but there's so many other options at that sort of price range where you won't have to worry about minutes played.

              I never said Nani was a bad idea did i? I've always thought he is better offensively than Valencia. I was probably just taking the mick with the whole farting thing. I have Kagawa ATM.

            Was thinking about Valencia maybe. Nani could be possible. Personally I think he has been rubbish for the last year. But I know he has been good fantasy vice..

          Well out of the Utd mids at that price range, Young is probably the least nailed on. Valencia is probably the most assured of a start. Kagawa is a bit of a punt but I reckon he'll outdo Young over the season. Then with Nani you may as well toss a coin with his form.

          Outside of Utd Santi Carzola, Walcott, Yaya and Nasri are all probably better bets (at least in the short term) if you don't want to double up on Chelsea or Spurs.

      Defense is too expensive, get at least one 4.0 in there cos you're unlikely to play more than 3 most weeks. Use that to upgrade Allen to a 6.5 like Larsson or Song or upgrade Al Ahmady to Dyer or SWP or someone.

    This may seem a slightly stupid question, but I really can't decide...

    A) Aguero + Maloney

    or

    B) Tevez + Ramires + 0.5M

    (the extra 0.5M would be deceptively useful, but I don't wanna start the season and then have to somehow conjure up monies later for Aguero...)

      Looks solid. Does McCarthy/Larsson depend on whether you save cash in the bank to get a Utd striker? I'd go for Michu over Nzog, I think.

      Begovic could become a rotation headache like last season, though.
