This afternoon, we have updated our Pre-Season Guide tab on the home page for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute research ahead of Saturday’s kick-off:

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports and Moving Target articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve added a brief “Scout Notes” synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams.

Below, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – nice to see Mauro Boselli in there, tempting us all with his pre-season goals once again..

6 – Danny Graham
5 – Mladen Petric and Billy Sharp
4 – Djibril Cisse and Sam Baldock
3 – Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, Steven Naismith, James Vaughan, Bobby Zamora, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adam Le Fondre, Mauro Boselli

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

but even if he does go to manure it doesn't make him more valuable (arguably less so without pens)

Considering the Torres -> Rooney GW2-train going on here i dont think 2.0 saved in bank will be enough, Torres probably drop to 9.9 and Rooney going up to 12.1 quickly, thoughts?

It also depends on their performances. If Torres does well, I don't think his price will fall despite the mass exodus (which isn't exactly mass if you think about it. About 5k people are on here maximum who will make that change. 5k is not enough to affect the price)

Players don't drop instantly. If you make it the moment the GW 1 deadline is over, you'll be fine. I hate the move personally. Committing to a transfer before hand, especially early in the season could be crippling. We'll be picking duds, injuries will come up etc.

If torres has a stormer will people drop him, most people not on this site will probably get him in, plus he has a home fixture GW2. I have put the 2m aside but am happy to keep him if he starts well (which he won't!!)

De Gea will be no 1 choice in nets, no question. Still probably won't play every single league game, I expect Lindy to get 4 or 5 games (like Kuszchak used to get as understudy to clear no 1 van der Sar.

      1) None, went for Ashley Cole
      2) Aguero...its sooooo much easier to downgrade to Tevez if he proves worthwhile, but to upgrade would take point hits and too much shuffling.
3)...actually went for Ramires, he's not your flair pick or attacking pick per say, but he always seems to get an assist on that right side, worst case scenario he gets 4pts, not a bad score for 7mil mid
4)Leaning towards Siggy, Bale is the best out of those but I can't find the extra .5

Ratings are decided by Sun journalists. As I understand it (I would never actually read The Sun) they have their favourites, usually well known players and preferably English - your Scott Parkers, your Stevie Gs, your JTs.

You have a point, I guess. Jol's clearly favoured Reither in pre-season though. Either way, you'd be mad to select Reither over Hangeland so I'm not recommending him at all tbh

Maloney or Miyaichi seem better prospects than Beausejour and are 0.5m cheaper. Tottenham will sign a new striker and I guess Defoe will be restricted to being an impact sub again.

How does the rotation thing work???

Two sets of teams that rotate well in both defence and midfield... and one random player

    Good evening gents!

Now bear in mind I've been in hibernation all summer (abroad), so I've been playing catch up before picking my team. And I promise this will be the one and only RMT! Thoughts please!

    Begovic/Green
    Cole/Zab/Hangeland/Cueller/Demel
    Silva/Mata/Kagawa/Guthrie/Maloney
    Torres/Tevez/Graham

    2m in the bank

Thoughts please? Including Corrigan if you're on here, gave me a few good pointers in.my opening season!

That's a nice team. Not much wrong there.

I'd think about captaincy picks and coverage. Spurs have great opening fixtures too, so consider Bale or VdV. Looks good otherwise. Although I would have a different goalie combination. Begovic isn't really nailed on, and Stoke don't rotate well with QPR.
