Eden Hazard is the main provider for Chelsea in a thrilling 4-2 win over Reading. Penalty duties bring Frank Lampard another respectable Fantasy score, Branislav Ivanovic notches in back-to back matches, while even Fernando Torres gets amongst the goals – sweet relief for a huge number of armband owners.

Eden Hazard
The Belgian continued in the same vein as Sunday’s game at Wigan and has wasted no time in announcing himself to Fantasy managers as a strong source of points amongst the Chelsea midfield conundrum. Having supplied assists for three Chelsea goals in last night’s narrow victory over Reading, Hazard now has five to his name already in a superb start to life at Stamford Bridge. Neck and neck for ownership with Juan Mata leading into Gameweek 1, Hazard’s more direct role for the Blues looks set to see him rocket in ownership despite a blank Gameweek 3 – the Spaniard, on the other hand, still seems lethargic from a lack of a summer break; the upcoming international break will be crucial to his chances of returning to the Fantasy force we were accustomed to last season.

Fernando Torres
Finally, he produced. It was just a single goal but the overwhelming armband favourite gave us something to smile about with a tap-in to put Chelsea 3-2 ahead. With Frank Lampard once again benefitting from spot-kick duties and Hazard dazzling as part of the attacking midfield three, Torres could struggle to keep his place in many a team – with the blank Gameweek 3 to follow, his home clash against Newcastle this weekend could be his final game for plenty of Fantasy teams as we begin to reassess our frontline options.

Branislav Ivanovic
Notching for the second successive match, the Serbian is now just one goal off equalling last term’s tally after slotting home the fourth last night. Like Hazard, his displays over the two games have earned Ivanovic a price rise prior to the game against Newcastle but with Chelsea still heavily expected to bring another right-back to the club, question marks are still against his long-term prospects. If the Blues fail to bring in someone else for his position, though, Ivanovic’s 6.6 price tag is unlikely to deter many.

Pavel Pogrebnyak
The Russian made his way into 17% of Fantasy teams ahead of the double Gameweek and, despite a change of tactics from Brian McDermott, Pogrebnyak kept his place in the side as Reading moved to 4-5-1; perhaps a sign of McDermott’s formation for away matches. His Premier League record of a goal every two games continued last night; Pogrebnyak had previously scored six in 12 for Fulham and a towering header at the Bridge suggests he could be a very handy cut-price third striker in FPL, at just 5.0.

    DDG, Federici
    Ivanovis, Zabaleta, Hangeland, Cuellar, Demel
    Mata, Silva, Bale, Taarabt, Noble
    Torres, Tevez, Graham

So here's the thing, i want Michu and Adebayor but i cant afford Taarabt and Torres to them because of Michu's price rise. So i was thinking about doing Mata > Michu this week and Torres to Ade next week, or mabye both this week? Down the line i'm looking to do Noble > Guthrie which will allow funds to bring in Hazard/Kag for Taarabt.

i could just bring in Dyer for Taarabt but i fee Michu is still a much better option long term and will deliver.

I'm in a similar boat - you already have Graham (so do I), so is Michu essential?

I'm close to doing Mata > Kagawa this week and Torres > Ade next week.

Team selection right? hHink who to play/bench is a bit of a lottery for my lot...

    Begovic (Foster)

Terry - Cuellar - Clyne (Zabaleta, Hangeland)

    Bale (c) - Kagawa - Snodgrass - Hoilett (Maloney)

    Torres - Tevez - Podolski

    Or

    ...Torres to Rooney?

I brought in Harte for the DGW with the intention of shipping him out straight after. However, seeing how Reading are decent going forward and Harte seems nailed on starter and on pens and set-pieces, I'm thinking keeping him despite the blank. Anyone else liking Harte's potential?

There a plenty of decent 4.5 Defs. At 4.5 Guthrie looks a better bet for RDG cover as he is a 4.5 mid that is nailed on and on set pieces (which i did not realize until yesterday).

Wow. Looks like there is going to be a 0.3 rise for Michu & Tevez.

Is it wrong that i wont consider getting Tevez in the future just because i did not get him at the bargain price of 9.0. That said, when i do consider getting him (Him or Adebayor GW3), he is still a bargain at 9.5-9.6 ish correct?

Yeah I think you're wrong to not consider Tevez just because you didn't get him at 9.0. If he carries on playing up front for a team which scores as many goals as City do, then he's worth the money at 10.5 to be honest.

Michu is another example. If he turns out to be consistently prolific, then I won't mind paying 7.0 or 7.5 for him. If he started off at 11m or something and it looked like I couldn't afford him unless I got him at his starting price, then I'd rethink. But if he establishes himself as a good fpl midfielder then 7.0 is fine by me. Much worse to get him at 6.5 only to see him not perform consistently. It's very early days.

I don't get it? I'm prob getting Michu at 7m and at that price if he is still in form/fit he should still be good value.

Are you playing for money or points? People avoided Ba/Cisse/Siggy/Rvp last season hoping they would stop scoring and their prices would stabilize. It never happened.

No reason why Carlito won't be good value even at 10m at Citeh.

I'm not bothered if I miss out on price rises on the odd player. Chances are at some stage you sell them anyway, and if you bought at a higher cost you sell at a higher price.
