We may have suffered inauspicious starts to the season but there’s no denying it, we just love Fantasy Football.

For all his grumpiness and bile, Granville’s enthusiasm spills over as we both dive into the hot topics of the week: Juan Mata’s decline, Eden Hazard’s rise, the Rooney vs Van Persie question, whether Granville is the dopey one.

All these issues and more are addressed in the next 38-minutes, along with the return of All Aboard, the weekend preview and the first decisions to be made with the ailing ScoutCast XI. It’s my turn to play Pat Rice to Granville’s Arsene Wenger this week and, to script, I prove to be more of a hindrance than a help.

    I am not happy. I picked up 3 Swansea players in the first GW, as I saw their lovely fixtures coming up. Unfortunately I played Graham, while Michu and Britton were on Bench. Worse, I had Dyer and Tevez in my draft, but changed to Britton and Augero, just to accomodate Augero. Now, I had to bring in Tevez for Augero.
    Feel bad, as for all that foresight, I never got any pts from Michu (just a 0.3 mio). And now everyone and their grandma have bought Michu.
    Finished around 1000 both the past 2 years, but never felt so jeolous or sad about it.

    FPL should try and enrich the information set. When one go to View GW history, you can only see the past seasons final scores. There should be a link on them, which should show you gameweek wise scores of previous seasons just like current season. I would love to see what I did in first few weeks last year and year prior to that.

    After all its just the database space usage and I am sure that is not a big concern today (if youtube can load billions video and FB billion photos)

    Anyone else looking at Michu/Petric/Mclean/Pienaar/Nolan as "cheap options" with say Hazard/Bale and having problems iro rotation? Pienaar/Mclean rotate h/a but ideally you should play them both for most weeks I suppose.

    You kind off need a 4.5 in there to balance the books. I'm thinking of getting Baines at the back to give me EVE coverage(and to help with rotation problems in midf) as I like their games after gw 3. Baines can then turn into Vidic/Verm around gw 15 ish.

    Thoughts?

        My WC idea is Hazard/Bale/Michu plus 2 of Mclean/Pienaar/Nolan or Jarvis. Options are to not go for Pienaar and rather get Baines, but I've burned myself before with Baines like now with Torres/Nzogbia.

        Might Just double up with Jussi/McCartney at the back for Westham coverage and forget about Nolan/Jarvis.

              Yeah, we all have our sad stories. Although I would have liked to have scored 100+, I can honestly say I never considered Michu/Petric/Ivan for my team. I was afraid of Ivan rotation with a new signing and I was afraid Petric/Michu would take time to settle and could turn into Boselli MkII.

              Only thing I'm pissed of with is that I did not Lamps(c). Although I'm only ranked 400k, it's actually one of my best starts ever! LOL

              20 points adrift in my ML, but most of the guys at the top won't be there at the end of gw 38.

        I've actually not tinkered yet... considering the old Torres > Rooney but the scout cast is making me think twice and go all or nothing with Lampard > an 8m or less midfielder and Torres > RVP next week.

      A, your thinking of the long run Pienaar and Larsson will most likely have even points, Mata will get more assists than Bale because of Chelsea's attacking force this year and Yaya is on a much stronger team let's not all hop on the Michu wagon just yet remember its just gameweek 1...
