[sbu_large_image] The Stock Check

City suffer more anxiety attacks but, again, overcome QPR to earn the three points with some familiar names again amongst the returns. Here’s the stock check from the day’s final encounter…

On the Up

Carlos Tevez
The overwhelming captaincy favourite this weekend, he didn’t let us down. Tevez played a part in all his side’s three goals – providing assists for the first two before grabbing the third, he currently sits on 24 FPL points pre-bonus, with the maximum looking likely. Those who opted for the Van Persie option will now have a uncomfortable 90 minutes ahead of them.

Yaya Toure
Once again, the Ivorian delivered for his Fantasy owners. Toure’s opener against QPR means he has produced attacking returns in all three of City’s games so far; cheaper than the likes of Samir Nasri and David Silva across the Fantasy games, he is proving to be the main contender from Mancini’s midfield and can expect plenty of suitors over the international break.

Edin Dzeko
The Bosnian striker has his doubters but, once again, he cropped up with a vital goal. While Tevez is overwhelming the strongest attacking option in the City lineup, Dzeko now appears to be in the box seat for starts alongside him; particularly now that Mario Balotelli is facing a month out due to an eye operation.

Going Down

The City Defence
Three games, no clean sheets. It’s a bit of a worry for owners of Vincent Kompany and Joe Hart – both are priced highly across the Fantasy games due to their near guaranteed selection but with City continuing to leak goals at the back, the pair could well be shed from squads as we reassess our line-ups. Rotation is a constant worry – just ask Gael Clichy owners – while Pablo Zabaleta was withdrawn with a “slight” hamstring twinge.

Djibril Cisse
Dropped to the bench to make way for a change in shape, Cisse, along with Adel Taarabt, Junior Hoilett and Bobby Zamora, looks far from secure as Hughes shuffles his attacking options match to match.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ah, yes. That puzzled me too!

Sat night regrets I guess. Most players seem down. I think it's because of chasing points and price risers.

Willing to bet a fair few of them just saw that he did not score yesterday 🙄

Do I need to WC this team

    Al Habsi Schwarzer

    Zabaleta Ridgewell Saylor Cuellar Gunter

Michu Yays Toure Pienaar Bale Puncheon

    Graham Tevez RVP

If I'm not to WC which order should I be making my transfers to get rid of my deadwood i.e Bale and Zabaleta

    Any help would be appreciated

Any reason not to WC this team?

    Friedel/Green
    Zab/Figueora/Williams/Gibbs/Gunter
    VDV/Cazorla/Noble/Michu/Pieenar
    Tevez/RVP/Petric

All the players who were a good bet till last week are now useless, so I am thinking of WCing. Suggestions?

Front line = all price risers.

Williams / Gibbs may score ok in gw4

Noble / VDV is a concern.

keepers: Nothing settled yet, no rush before gw4

In summary, no. Just take the -8 or whatever.

Petric won't rise now I think. After just playing 45 minutes, I want him out as well.
Zaba is no longer nailed on now that Maicon has joined. Also want Hazard for Cazorla maybe and don't have money in the bank. Both the keepers are now 2nd choice now that their clubs have signed new GKs. Noble/VDV are obviously useless. It would take at least a 12 point hit to field a decent team for GW4.

Any recommendations for good FPL related phone apps? I use Fantasy Football Buddy for team selection as it's quicker & more user-friendly than the official website (lacks details of next few upcoming games though). Even paid for the Pro version, although the free one still does all the basics you need.

I'm looking for one that has team / player stats now.

    Score predictions for today?

Liv Ars 3-2 or 2-3, Arsenal surely have to start scoring goals and pool will attack back
New AV = 2-1 either this or a 4-0 stroll, I find it hard to imagine Villa continuing to be shocking all the time but then again...
Sou Man Utd = 1-3 Hard to predict this one, I hope it's 5-0 Man Utd without any RVP goals/assists

I was thinking that earlier, he even scored some goals last year near the end, seems Ridgewell is the preferred option because he plays full back and gets forward more. They're both 5.0 so I guess that it makes sense in some ways.

At the end Ridgewell will outscore him. Get`s forward more consistently and dangerously. McAuley is a great option too, but 5 mil(4 mil last year) seems a bit too much for a WBA defender other than old Ridgie, even though WBA've been amazing lately.

Saying that McAuley got 110 points last season and Ridgewell hasn't managed more than 104 and that was 2 years ago playing 3173 minutes versus McAuley's 2880 last season. Ridgewell only scored 61 last season so I'm not convinced he will outscore him to be honest.

With Guthrie and Gorkss already dropping there's going to be some bargain 5th DEF / MID players in the Reading team by GW 4.

Mata will probably be 8.9 by then as well - with a 2 week rest under his belt he could be a great buy.

Also, What about Pogrebnyak, 4.9m...Admittedly it sucks that he has gone down 0.1 but he will come back up if scores I'm sure. But that is unbelievably cheap for a player who has a) scored already against a big team b) is the main striker and c) proved last year that all he's interested in is scoring for fun

Still...it's a home match and Sunderland are solid at home, they are always a decent shout for a clean sheet, plus they kept one away to Arsenal

Good morning everyone. When does the bonus points come out? And who do you think will get the bonus points from the city game?

Some really good advice here this morning. I guess the helpful advice is always here but gets lost in the 1,000 comments per minute during peak times.

From a H2H point of view... Man United vs. Southampton should end in 0-0 draw for me...

    League 1:

    Me: RVP+Clyne+2 point lead
    My Opponent: RVP+Rafael+Lambert

    League 2:

    Me: RVP+Clyne
My Opponent: RVP+S Taylor+3 point lead

But dont think I have much chance of beating either opponent in this GW...

Can do Nasi & Bale > Hazard & Yaya, would have to be today due to price rises. worth doing?

I'd just go Bale > Hazard and keep Nasri, he's just as likely to score as Yaya despite recent exploits

    Clichy, Bale, Ade out

    Cuellar, Yaya, RVP in.

    8 point hit.

    RVP captain's band.

Maybe do Clichy and Bale to Cueller and Yaya and wait one week for Ade to RVP...

Ade might score against Reading next week

Seems a bit drastic, Bale and Adey can still have good games after the break. Get rid of Clichy first. Save our points

All good points. WIll take into consideration.. Just really want to be rid of Spurs coverage right now under they perform well under AVB.

I know what you mean, plus Spurs have too many midfielders to choose from, especially with the arrival of Dembele and Dempsey, there goes Bale's bonus points

They seem to be erratic this year so far, I didn't mind having to wait last year, it kept the gameweek alive a bit longer.
