I just got back from holiday where, under the influence of too much Côtes du Ventoux, I took an 8 pt hit to flip Rooney, Torres, and Marveaux to RVP, Graham, and Barfa. Obviously it worked out, but it also made sense because I needed to do it to field 11 for GW3.
Now, buoyed by that success, I am thinking of an 8-pointer again. I already did Bale to Hazard for my FT, but having seen Cazorla today I want him in my team (a) for his home fixture with Southampton and (b) because his price is sure to rise the max over the next two weeks. I want to do:
Pienaar and Zab => Cazorla and Cuellar
Or
Pienaar and Ivan => Cazorla and McCauley/Gibbs
Both for -8.
Mad to do it at all? If not, which one? The result would be a front eight of:
Hazard, Michu, Cazorla, Barfa, Guthrie
RVP, Tevez, Graham

Everyone says RVP is a must-have--I have him--and if he is then it is worth some kind of hit. The question is how urgent it is. He will surely rise 0.3 by next GW so if this move would not work at that price then you need to do it now.

Seems that Laudrup encourages all his fullbacks to bomb forward. Davies did go forward a lot when he first came on but later stayed back a bit more as Swansea seemed to be a bit vulnerable during the game against Sunderland. Still a great option at 4M.
