We’ve been able to put our feet up and enjoy a few cold tinnies and give our wallet an international reprieve, through a second successful Flutter Gameweek in a row. Once again tripling our stake, Kevin Nolan’s early poach helped secure the full three points and a cleanie over a Fulham side clearly shell-shocked by the exit of Mousa Dembele and Clint Dempsey. Our season’s profit now sits at £43 and we’re looking to improve on that with this week’s Fantasy Flutter.

To win 3-0 after defeat of the same scoreline to Swansea in the week previous, certainly showed a resilience that had been lacking in the Hammers dressing room when sliding into the Championship a couple of seasons ago. Paddy wish to test this new mettle by offering us a tempting price for Scout Pick Robert Snodgrass to net and Norwich to keep a clean-sheet against Sam Allardyce’s side in the early Saturday kickoff. The bookie is offering an 8/1 is the price for this market, and considering Paddy are offering the same odds on him to score first, the price seems decent for this home double. We’re going to throw £2 their way on this.

James McClean only warmed the bench in the Republic of Ireland qualifier win over Kazakhstan, but got a run out in the decisive friendly win over Oman on Tuesday. He’ll be well rested and ready to prove himself to both club and country in Sunderland’s fixture against Liverpool at the weekend. Paddy price up a McClean goal and a Sunderland cleanie at 14/1, and with Liverpool floundering at the moment, this could be the some of the best value you’ll get this season. We’re punting £3 for another big return.

Next up under the Flutter focus is Arsenal’s new signing Santi Carzorla. His pace and agility both on and off the ball have torn defences apart in their opening fixtures, although the Gunners have only managed to capitalise in the win at Anfield last time out. Paddy offer a respectable 7/2 for a Cazorla goal and a fourth successive Gunners clean sheet. It’s got a good chance of getting over the line, as is reflected in the short odds, so we’ll steam in for £4 to make the return a little more appealing.

Our final punt of the week is on Everton’s Steven Pienaar. With two solid wins under their belt, The Toffees went into their game against West Brom with confidence, but some rash mid-fielding and limp marking at the back, the Baggies came away with the points. Pienaar by his own admission, had his worst game in an Everton shirt but has been outstanding in previous outings. With that in mind we put our last £1 on him to score against Newcastle and Everton to get a clean-sheet at 9/1.

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

After hours of reading these boards and playing around with spreadsheets and transferring players in and out this was the best wild card team I could come up with. Maybe overdone it on the cheap defense?

    Jaask, Henderson
    Baines, Bertrand, Cuellar, Hughes, Davies
    Hazard, Cazorla, Toure, Michu, Guthrie
    RVP, Tevez, Fletcher

Jaask can switch with Begovic in 5 weeks time.
Bertrand and Davies not guaranteed starts.
front 7 should have a few points in them - just can't bring myself to downgrade Toure

Any way I can better this on WC:

    Foster / (Jussi)
    Ivan / Gibbs / Demel / (Gunter / Clyne)
Hazard / Cazorla / Michu / Ben Arfa / Guthrie
    RVP / Tevez / (Lambert)

No money left after! Wanted Baines or Verm instead of Ivan really but can’t afford it.

Begovic for Jussi. Doubling up on WHAM is a big risk. Get baines in? You have no Everton cover whatsoever. Might get the money by downgrading Gibbs to a 5-er.

Not really keen on having no Arsenal cover in defence though. Surely 1 Arsenal and 1 Chelsea defender is better than 1 Everton and 1 WBA (considering already have Foster)?

    Repost sorry,

I don’t see Kagawa being benched to start the game today…what would be the point if he’s fit? I think if he’s able to play he’ll start…Fergie won’t want to dent his confidence. He’ll use him to win the game and take him off at 60 minutes, I don’t see why he’d send him on for the last 20…anyone agree?

If he's fully fit then I don't see why not. But it depends on how much he's trained, if he's jet lagged and all that type of stuff.

But Manchester United need him to play really as I would be surprised if Wigan are pushovers.

Thinking of FT of shawx to jenkinson. Would then play:

Jenkinson, Ivan, evra with zab and hang on the bench.

Could play hang but that would mean subbing graham or Guthrie.

Any thoughts? Can save for next week but cs is possible for arsenal.

Great team. Only player i don't like is Davies. I just can't see him holding down a place in the long term, or not being a rotation risk after this weekend. Plus Swansea's fixtures are pretty bad after GW 8.

I also don't think Yaya is a necessity, as i can't see him keeping up his scoring rate. Maybe Yaya > HBA and upgrade Davies. Just a suggestion.

'Darren Bent has admitted he wants to make himself "impossible to ignore" this season and prove he can still be part of Hodgson's new era on the road to Rio.'

Good to see the lad has confidence, but I wouldn't mind if he started by scoring a goal this season.

He's being very easy to ignore so far, I haven't even noticed he's played. I still really dislike him for the way he left Sunderland, he made it appear that Villa was a step up but unfortunately for him and Villa it's been a steady decline since then. He doesn't do much bar score goals...he better start doing the business for Villa or you'll be in trouble.

I remember when he moved Capello commented on how being at a team like Aston Villa gave him a better chance of getting into the England side also, so if international football was his main aim then it's understandable why he left.

can't see swansea keeping a cleanie in any of their next 3 games but then again, McAley's failure to rise probably has cost u too.

Apart from that, it looks pretty solid although i prefer lambert over berba

I would put in Morrison for Pienaar and upgrade Davies/Gorkss as your defence looks alittle weak, other than that, I like it.

You'll due double fookt if Wes Brom score, Cuellar for Hangeland and lose him or Schwarzer or both right soon cos Fulham will concede plenty. The rest is quality.

    Right, for my differential spot.

Stick with Dyer this GW ( hardly a differential I know )

Or get in Morrison / Snodgrass / Ramierez?

    Whom is better?
