Signed in the transfer window, both Steven Fletcher and Dimitar Berbatov have wasted little time in acclimatising at their new clubs, turning the heads of Fantasy managers.

Placed snugly in the mid-price bracket, they both look to offer strong solutions to the third striker slot in our squads with other places reserved for expensive heavy-hitters. In that scenario, many Fantasy managers have been forced to choose from these two players – both take form, decent fixtures and almost identical price tags into the coming months.

In this latest article for our Members, we look beyond the goals and points notched so far, exploring the numbers behind their performances in an attempt to offer a solution to this particular selection dilemma.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Think I'm going to do Cuellar to Boyce and go with this for the week:

    Foster
    Baines, Boyce, McAuley
    Hazard, Cazorla, Michu, Morrison
    RVP, Tevez, Lambert

    Begovic, Guthrie, Rafael, Gorkss

    Subs correct, any captain suggestions?

He's getting into very advanced positions and almost scoring. Wigan's home games are very good. I realise its Wigan but they are better than they used to be.

Yeah i've heard the pro Boyce comments plenty of times. He's playing in midfield etc etc. But really he's still a Wigan defender who's as likely to get booked as score/assist. And for 5m?! 4m maybe worth a punt

No need to explain yourself, Milan. The Boyce bandwagon is at loading stage prior to rocketing.

You are probably right and I'm shoving my head in a sand pit. It's just nice to pick someone completely punty at times. It's where the Kolarov love comes from. We're cooped up here, agonising 24/7 so it's nice just to throw a curveball and there's no better place to do it than at the back.

Midfield is a much better place to do it. And Kolorov isn't a mid thirties champ player like Boyce!

                ... anyway good luck 🙂

I'm thinking tevez - I know it's a bit different , but theres no reason he can't hit double digits in arse game , ok were all watching Agueros come back - he might just be eased in this week with Tevez completing the game.

I currently have the armband on Morrison but with other WBA coverage in action handing the armband to one of them feels a little nuts. Thinking about Lambert(c)

Looks well in place. Boyce certainly has some attacking returns due, and Fulham at home might be a good day? Like the overall look of the team, did you use your FT this week, Milan?

I was concerned too, but Popov's not going to see many minutes, Ridgewell gives an attacking edge from the left. Can't see him being rotated at least for a while, but I might be wrong.

Bale or Hazard for next 6 GW's? Bale's fixtures are kind but Naughton's injury could force him to LB wheras Hazard's fixtures are tough and he's played in every game thus far.

He so nearly scored, so nearly had an assist and if the ref had a brain he would have played advantage when HBA was clean through on goal. He's about as attacking as a midfielder can get. The fact he didn't score in a tough away match doesn't mean he's shite

Looks like he could finally have come good. Now just to watch for the tricky games, see if he really has the gametime and hopefully doesn't rise in price too much.

OK, so here's my GW5 lineup, a bit risky and will probably change again if Naughton is out:

    Foster

    Clark Naughton/Perch Baird

    Pienaar Kacaniklic Hazard Ben Arfa

    Fletcher Tevez Van Persie

Bench: Begovic Tate Naughton/Perch Sterling (6.2 left in the bank)

The defence provides good rotation cover for the next 3 GW's. Sterling can come in for Kacaniklic in GW6 and I'll do a double FT of Kacaniklic & Fletcher -> Bale / Carzola & Podolski / Defoe in GW7.

    Opinions?

GW5: Clark (SOU - Away) Naughton (QPR - Home) Baird (WIG - Away)
GW6: Clark (WBA - Home) Perch (RDG - Away) Tate (STK - Away)
GW7: Naughton (AVL - Home) Tate (RDG - Home) Baird (SOU - Away)

Also, it's most likely Baird will be playing in CM rather than defence now Diarra is out long term.

Have a back seven of want to get ride two:

    Beg / Fed

    Harte / Coloccini/ Hangland/ jenkinson / Betrand

Happy to hold onto Hangland and begorvic.

Need to shift two thinking of bring in Demel and ridgewell or Gibbs have .8 in the bank for Harte and Colocinni.. Hope jenkinson gets a couple more weeks and Betrand as a sub is fine, fed is also a concern. I have one free sub. Happy to make two this week.
Any thoughts would be very welcome .

not really !!but dont have rvp ryt nw so benching kags means no player in the lpool-united match and that match will have goals!!

I'd say Piennar has weakest goal threat, but he's a bit of an assist machine

No, he's a left arm spinner, he took 3 wickets in the warm-up game against the Aussies.
