Eden Hazard was a Fantasy force of nature in the opening weeks of the season. The Belgian simply swept through defences with pace and trickery that tempted tackles and earned him a string of early assists. Huge Fantasy investment followed, making him the most sought after player in both the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and Sky Sports games in the opening fortnight.

Since then, however, Hazard has dwindled as a source of points. Three consecutive blanks have offered scant reward for his investors and with the likes of Gareth Bale and Santi Cazorla now tempting acquisitions, Hazard’s owners are contemplating the merits of holding firm for a run of testing fixtures to come.

In this latest members article, we examine Hazard’s statistics over the opening three weeks and run a comparison with his recent form for both goal threat and creativity. Crucially, we also focus on Chelsea as a whole in an attempt to identify why the Belgian has declined and whether this indicates an immediate concern for his frustrated Fantasy owners…

          Yes it is. I think that the drop is because he hasn't done much recently. But his next two fixtures are very favorable. If he can't do well in those two games, then he is definitely a drop candidate.

    Again, i’m sure this has been talked to death so apologies for bringing it up again, but, Is the general consensus that Tevez is now more likely to play 60+ mins this weekend after having not played last night?

      Mancini is completely unpredictable. I am purging my squad of Man City players. Too much risk of not playing or cameos. Also, their defense doesn't seem capable of keeping a clean sheet against anyone.

              @Godfather, yeah you could be right, its just IMO I think bale will outscore him. Fortunately I kept faith in bale, had him since the start. I reckon west ham will be tough and norwich will be tighter at the back after conceding heavily against liverpool and potenially chelsea..but who knows.

    Really hard decision this week. Shoddy score last week, I think the lowest I have ever had while fielding a full team. Have a look at this if you would:

    Foster (Federici)
    Ivanovic - Kompany - Baines (Demel - Fonte)
    Maloney - Kagawa - Pienaar - Michu - Cazorla
    Lambert - Tevez (Berbatov)

    Now I have no intention of selling Berbatov he will be back and firing soon enough but cannot play this week. I will dump Federici and maybe Fonte at some point when I use my wildcard. Demel I will keep. So the logical issue with this team for this week is Maloney. If I sold Maloney it would leave me 9.1M just short of what I would like in order to purchase Bale or Silva.

    What do you think? Double up on Everton Midfield with Fellaini, Double up on Arsenal with Gervinho who both have attractive fixtures and have been doing well recently. Or maybe Nolan who always seems to do well but has a tough game with Arsenal this week.

    And then there is Yaya Toure...

    Any suggestions?

        Thanks DB. I don't know why but I have always been reluctant to buy Yaya. I might give him a shot this time though. As you say fixtures and form are both good.

          Hmmm, well Jussi has been good for save points so far against more attacking teams but Liverpool have Suarez who likes to take a million shots too...It's a hard one to judge this weekend...I just don't see West Ham keeping a Clean sheet...I prefer Stoke as a defensive outfit even though West Ham have done well. Stoke held Chelsea until the 85th minute at Stamford Bridge last time out...

    I know the defence isn’t great for this week but after this week it doesn’t look too bad. Front 7 all have decent fixtures this week which leaves Guthrie to Sterling I suppose (benched) rolling over 2 transfers for the internationals. Any other advice? Not sure on captain yet either.     Who are the "in the hole" players? I think Michu and Remirez are the genuine article and Fellaini has played there since the start of the season. But is Morrison a "hole" player or a winger? Apparently Cazorla is too but he seems to play extremely deep at times. Rooney esc

      Silva and Mata comes to mind, even though they drift alot. Morrison not so much, he seems to play deeper. Kagawa possibly, even though its too early to tell. Thing is with these playertypes they drop down to get the ball if needed, theyre given extreme freedom

        Sessegnon ofcourse, he`s youre typical in the hole player. Nolan not so much either, he drops down alot too. Ramirez should be playing there, but i havent watched a full Saints game since he came. Dempsey might get that role for Spurs since they have wingers. Oscar as well
