It’s swings and roundabouts as Marouane Fellaini is ruled out for the Toffees’ trip to QPR, while Dimitar Berbatov will make a return for Fulham as they prepare to host Villa. Alan Pardew can welcome both Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor back to his defence for the Tyne-Wear derby clash…

As expected, David Silva will miss out for Man City at the Hawthorns, while on the red side of Manchester, Ashley Young returns to the mix as Sir Alex prepares for the clash with Stoke. Sam Allardyce doesn’t rate Guy Demel’s chances of making the visit of Southampton, while Arsene Wenger’s claim that Jack Wilshere needs more time is somewhat undermined by the player’s agent who reveals that he’s in the squad for the Norwich trip.

    The plan is Fellaini > Nolan & Gibbs > Rafael then barring further injuries Chico > Wilson next week. Hopefully I will benefit from quite a few clean sheets from Wilson & Rafael in the coming weeks but these plans rarely work out 🙁 I think last year just about the only time when I bought a defender with an easy run and profited with a few clean sheets was Evans towards the end of the season which was really satisfying. Its just annoying when the clean sheets are harder to predict like Arsenal and Stoke at the beginning of this season. I wonder how many people who bought the likes of Jenkinson and Wilson really thought it would be such a win-win

    Having a bit of a dilemma, next week I either want to get rid of Rafael or Gibbs, giving me the cash to do Michu ---> Bale. Who is the better option to get rid of? Man U have some amazing fixtures coming up after ARS/CHE but I am definitely worried about the risk of Jones/Smalling stopping Rafaels game time.

    That said, is Gibbs definitely the first choice? Or will Santos threaten him? I need to get rid of one.. who should it be =)

      I think Rafael is actually nailed on for United,
      he is also now wearing the no 2 shirt,
      but Arsenal have better fixtures in next 10 GWs
      ARS: nor, QPR, mun, FUL, TOT, avl, eve, SWA, WBA, rdg
      Gibbs is also first choice

    With Wilshere on the bench for the trip to Norwich, and Arsenal having a key CL midweek, can we anticipate reduced minutes for Santi this weekend? Maybe 70 minutes?

    I'd keep Kun. We all knew there would be w/es like this and that's part of the joy (ahem) of owning him or RVP. Also, he can come on with 20 mins to go and get a brace. I just wouldn't give him the armband!

    Seen an awful lot about City today 🙂

    This is how we will probably line up, with injuries, and Ajax next week.........

    Hart
    Richards Nastasic Kompany Clichy
    Barry Yaya
    Sinclair Tevez Nasri
    Dzeko.

    Aguero and Balo on after 65 if needed, with Balo on first and a last ditch Aguero punt if we are struggling. I would also have said Milner over Sinclair but with Milner traveling and playing with England squad and Sinclair fresher, he'll go with Sinclair. Richards is a lock for rb I think as Zaba is 'tired' and will start next week vs Ajax. Clichys time to start. Barry is a no brainer. Tevez didn't play for the Argies or travel. Nasri in for Silva no brainer. This SHOULD BE the team lads/lasses.

    I would be hesitant to captain or pickup Aguero for this weekend, unless you all want him in for Swansea and here on, but that is risky as he probably doesn't play much this weekend, and could always be injured in Amsterdam next week leaving you with transfer egg faces.

      Im 'stuck' with Yaya (albeit would rather be stuck with him than a vast majority of others), for our coverage, since no matter how big a Blue, we just aren't attractive FPL options at the moment like last year. Silva, Aguero and Kompany.....imagine what the rest of your team would look like with that lot in there taking up almost 30mil!!

        There is a chance, especially if Dzeko starts...for his crosses. I suppose its a 50/50 as to whether Sinclair or Kola starts, but KOla played over the int break and Sinclair didn't. Sinclair is due a start. Who knows though.

        MIlner/Kola/Sinclair would be the only question about my starting lineup. Could see any of them. My moneys on Sinclair as in my original team.

    I do not have high hopes!

    Players i am considering to get in the next few weeks: Wilson, Cuellar, Sagna.
    Do you think any of those would be worth a hit to get this week?

    Have Jaask for WHU defensive coverage.

    Would be an unorthodox front line (Berba, Ba, Jelly), but not shooting much worse than the heavy hitters and gives me room for Baines AND three heavy-hitting midfielders.

        Walters has the best fixtures but Stoke create very little. I'd go Morrison and upgrade elsewhere.
