It’s swings and roundabouts as Marouane Fellaini is ruled out for the Toffees’ trip to QPR, while Dimitar Berbatov will make a return for Fulham as they prepare to host Villa. Alan Pardew can welcome both Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor back to his defence for the Tyne-Wear derby clash…

As expected, David Silva will miss out for Man City at the Hawthorns, while on the red side of Manchester, Ashley Young returns to the mix as Sir Alex prepares for the clash with Stoke. Sam Allardyce doesn’t rate Guy Demel’s chances of making the visit of Southampton, while Arsene Wenger’s claim that Jack Wilshere needs more time is somewhat undermined by the player’s agent who reveals that he’s in the squad for the Norwich trip.

            he is a big man that goes up for set pieces everytime. he scored 6 just 2 seasons ago. but nothing last year or this year yet. they must have really been looking for him that 6 goal season, i wonder if most the assists came from vdv corners.

          I have Gervinho in my team. I reckon he's ahead of Ox in the pecking order. I can see Wenger bringing Ox on with 20 minutes to go though. Then again, Ox only played 20 minutes against Poland, so maybe Wenger will start him. You're right. There's a bit rotation risk hanging over Gervinho.

    Obviously understand the Giroud bandwagon given the goals against West Ham and Spain.

    BUT.

    Yet to see a game where Giroud HASNT looked like a donkey.

    Can Norwich be THAT bad again?

      I clearly haven't watched the same games that you have. Giroud has played well, even when he hasn't scored. His strength and movement are excellent. His shots have merely been wayward. Now it seems that he's taking his chances better.

      That said, I predict that Cazorla will score more than 12 points tomorrow. He's my capitan.

        I have to second this, all that has been missing is his finishing and I believe he is turning the corner in this regard.

        And yes Norwich are THAT bad.

        The liverpool game just sticks in my mind. Looked like a lost little lamb! Better vs West Ham granted. Couldnt say what he was like vs Spain and would bow to others superior knowledge on the subject.

              I hope you didn't have Hooiveld and Clyne. I couldn't believe it was 6 goals, and only 4 available to my 3 Arsenal assets. Plus I didn't have Gervinho for that game. Drafted him in since.

          1. He was the top scorer in Ligue 1 last year.
          2. There's no RVP to hog all the goals.
          3. He's has good movement, leading to his getting loads of chances. The creativity of Cazorla and Podolski doesn't hurt here either.
          4. His compass seems properly calibrated now.

      I'd go with Walters personally, just for a bit of Stoke in there. Their fixtures are very kind. Think he rotates with Nolan too? They're both more prolific at home.

        I really do, it could be brillliant, and yet.... really don't.

        Can see Yaya coming to the fore, Nasri doing nothing, Silva coming back next week, meanwhile my defence gets injured, HBA's price slowly rises, I'm trying to get Giroud out of my team for failing to notch two weeks on the trot, Aguero is going absolutely mental scoring multiple hatricks and I have Nasri stuck warming his 8.2...8.1....8.0m bum on my bench.

        So reluctant.

        He has been chipping in with very good performances and a few assists. Very much in the Ben Arfa mould, could explode, could plod with a few 2's in the meantime.

        Does that help? He has looked very sharp thus far and been unlucky hitting a few cross bars/good saves

      Think Tevez is probs worth keeping until it looks like he's not a starter, have relatively good fixtures coming. Could just do the 2nd one for free and do Giroud next week if you wanted

          just think Tevez might be worth keeping for a while. Shipped him myself a while back but looks like he might be maybe the most assured short term starter in their front line. If Wenger plays Pod or Gerv through the middle at Norwich you'd rage so much having made that switch, but yeah seems likely Giroud should start
