Fantasy managers have this afternoon been given notice of another double Gameweek to prepare after Sunderland confirmed the date for their rearranged home clash with Reading. Initially scheduled for Gameweek 2, the clash was called off due to a waterlogged pitch but has now been rescheduled for Tuesday December 11 – presumably affording both clubs a pair of fixtures in Gameweek 16.

Sunderland will now welcome Chelsea and Reading to the Stadium of Light in the Gameweek, while the Royals also have a trip to Southampton on their agenda. Although the Black Cats have been disastrous in front of goal in recent weeks, their backline has impressed at home – just two goals have been conceded in three matches in front of their own fans. Simon Mignolet and Carlos Cuellar (priced at 5.0 and 4.5 in Fantasy Premier League) are likely to garner extra attention, then, though with United, City and Spurs as three of their following four opponents, stocking up on the likes of Steven Fletcher could be a risky tactic. Martin O’Neill’s men do face a trip to QPR in Gameweek 15 and a trip to Southampton in Gameweek 18, perhaps making Fletcher that little bit more enticing.

For Reading, without a single clean sheet this season, investment at the back looks a risky option. Brian McDermott’s men have, however, seen an upturn in attacking output since rolling out a 4-4-2; they have scored seven goals in the previous three matches they have used this formation. Recent Watchlist candidate Jobi McAnuff, who has assisted five of his side’s 11 goals, will surely be earmarked by many; coming in at 5.1 in Fantasy Premier League, the winger looks a real contender, while Pavel Pogrebnyak (now down to 4.7 in FPL) is the only forward to start every game for McDermott’s side so far.

Reading do, however, face United at home in Gameweek 15 and then play Arsenal and City in the two Gameweeks immediately after the double, suggesting any over-investment in their assets could be come at a cost.

My immediate thought is that there's no-one from reading or sunderland that I'm happy to captain. But other captain options aren't great either:

    RVP @ mci
    Bale @ eve
    Ba @ Fulham
    Pie/Baines home to TOT

I guess that leaves Michu @ nor

Can I get opinions please guys?

    Team is currently:

    Foster Begovic
    Gorkss Baines Demel Hangeland Clyne
Cazorla Bale Michu Ben Arfa Pienaar
    Tevez Fletcher Ba

    1.5m in bank.

Im thinking of the following transfers:

    Fletcher to RVP

    Ben Afra to McAnuff

    Pienaar to Sterling

    Hangeland to Hughes

For a 12 point hit. Is it worth it?

I've demel and wilson, meaning all my other defenders need to play. Worth a hit to bring cameron in for Wilson so I can bench goal machine ivan ramis who's away to spurs? Could get nasty.

Normally i'm anti hit, but this one makes sense I reckon?

    B) Lescott, Michu -> Shawcross, Mata

Bearing in mind I already have Hazard, but doubling up on Chelsea now seems like a good idea. RVP is also on fire so I'm completely split on this one. Don't have enough money to go for both.

All these for teams have leaky defense at the moment plus OOP midfielders are scarce nowadays. Michu is currently my 'differential'. I hope more people would sell him because of the tough looking fixtures ahead.

Chelsea top team, been solid in defence this season against lesser teams.
Newcastle at home with their first choice defenders will likely be tough.
Liverpool are improving at the back recently.
Arsenal have the best defence in the league so far.

If I had him I would definitely keep, but to say his fixtures are good from an attacking standpoint is highly debatable.

I didn't say their fixtures were good. I'm just saying that they are not as tough as they first look. There are good chance of goal scoring for Michu in those games especially when Swansea are improving after the recent change in formation.

Any thoughts on my team and where I could improve it?:

      Foster, (Fed),
      Baines, Cuellar, McAuley, (Clyne, Demel),
      Santi, Mata, Pienaar, Michu, (Guthrie),

          Very un-exciting but.........

McCauley>Cameron is an obvious choice. Maybe not this week as WBA have such a tasty fixture but after that it may be wiser to have Stoke cover rather than double up on WBA

          foster (begovic)
          kompany baines nelsen cuellar shawcross
          sterling bale hazard (michu pienaar)
          crouch tevez (ba)

i hate playing 5 at the back but cant seem to think of a good reason to bench 1 and how can i get persie in this team 3.3 to spend

You might as well start Ba just in case he's passed fit to play and bench one of your defenders.

Erm I'll give you a good reason....You have Michu (OOP & scorer of many a goal so far) and Pienaar (Consistent fantasy gold) sat on the bench in the hope of a cleanie off someone like Nelson

I agree with above get rid of Komp and bench his replacement along with Nelson and you can play your very decent MFers

          A) Lescott, Ba, Fletcher -> Shawcross, RVP, Pog
          or
          B) Lescott, Michu -> Shawcross, Mata

Bearing in mind I already have Hazard, but doubling up on Chelsea now seems like a good idea. RVP is also on fire so I’m completely split on this one. Don’t have enough money to go for both.
