Just as Paddy drew level, our treble came in. A goal for Luis Suarez, coupled with an assist for David Silva and a City clean sheet in the win over Villa handed us another timely windfall and put us back in the black. Our bookmaker friends in retreat, we missed out on the Flutter last weekend but it returns for the midweek menu, with Paddy looking to prise back our winnings…

First up for Wednesday’s matches, we look to a name that’s been circulating the community for the last 48-hours: Southampton’s Gaston Ramirez. He’s on many a wishlist following a goal and assist return against Newcastle, and we’re willing to back his form with a few quid. Paddy are dangling 15/2 on another Ramirez goal against Norwich, packaged with a second consecutive Southampton cleanie. Ramirez is in fashion and even the Saints back four are playing with some confidence. We’ll take Paddy’s offer for £2 of our tenner.

Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon is another name garnering attention following the weekend events. A potential template breaker in midfield, Sessegnon is showing glimpses of last season’s form just in time for the Black Cats’ double fixture in Gameweek 16. After a goal and assist return in the damaging defeat to West Brom, can Sessegnon find the net when Harry’s boys visit the North-East? Paddy are offering 6/1 on a Sessegnon goal with a Sunderland shut-out against QPR. Again, we’ll chuck a couple of quid at this, with Sessegnon there or thereabouts for the Picks for the Gameweek.

Villa’s Christian Benteke is another player we’ve got a lot of time for: he’s proved integral to Villa’s threat in recent weeks and is certain to trouble Reading’s faltering back line tomorrow evening. Paul Lambert’s side are far from prolific, but we fancy them to break the shackles against the Royals and, with Paddy offering 4/1 on a Benteke goal with a Villa clean sheet, we’ll take that for £3 of our hard earned.

That leaves a handsome £3 left for the treble – having won out on this the last time around, we’re going into this one with confidence. Paddy have 10/1 on a Robin Van Persie goal against West Ham, a Juan Mata assist when Chelsea face Fulham and a Stoke clean sheet against the wounded Magpies.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

-Arsenal have great fixtures coming up so I do like mertasacker...he's cheap as well.

-I dont have enough cash for Suarez, i think with tevez you gotta realize he is going to be rotated but I think his reward when he does get big minutes is too big to count out, unless you can go Aguero...

And the Sess vs Fletcher debate begins...

          1) Fletcher is captaincy material, you have t have massive balls to (C) Sess
          2) He is a striker, there was talk on the SUN forum that Saha might play, pushing Sess out wide as a mid.
          3) Fletcher is a natural finisher, Sess not so much

Crazy talk. Why would Sess start out wide when Sund have 2 quality wingers in AJ and McClean? Larsson can play right mid too.

Sess will be in the hole. And he will dominate.

2 will be fairly standard, many will have 3. Depends whether that's your plan to have or what you already have? If the former, then you're ok (but have you're plan to ditch) if the latter then you're just bonkers (but you seem to know that already) 🙂

In a horrid position where i'm about to be priced out of a move.. Got a Free transfer and 2.9 in the bank.. The plan is to swap Demel for Bassong next week and Ba for Suarez.. Safe on the Ba to Suarez side as further drops/rises dont look likely in the immediate future.. Demel will fall tonight however and Bassong will rise(The Ba to Suarez transfer leaves me 0.4 in the bank so any price fluctuations destry it).. Should i do Demel to Bassong today for free rather than next week so as to prevent bein priced out?

Will be touch and go whether he'll fall; only at 90% do would need another 1500 transfers out. Keep an eye and then decide closer to the time as you should know for sure if he's set for s fall.

Thoughts on point hits to save/increase value while improving squad, could be handy for jan wildcard

    Eg Pienaar > Sterling -4

Pienaar going down, Sterling going up, withouts hits I would have Pienaar rot for at least 2 more GWs when his value could dramatically go down.

0.4 maybe? My squad is in need of a change I'm weighing up some point hits soon, would actually be handy if Suarez gets booked tonight gives me an extra transfer before his arrival, doesn't matter he misses SOT as no one could play him anyway.

recently, sudden realisation dawned upon me and it took me by surprise. It said that, to succeed in FPL, one does not only need luck and trust on the gut feeling but also some intelligent decisions.

    Lo and behold!

    Berba --> Defoe

Defoe (c) happened in a jiffy. And we all lived happily ever after.

    Midfield dilemma

I have got Walcott ( EVE but injured) and Mcnuff ( AVL)

No news if walcott is gonna play against Everton during weekend.

    a) Should i bench both Walcott and Mcnuff and play for of my defenders which are :
Ridgwell ( SWA away), Rafeal ( Wham Home), Enrique ( TOT away), Cameron (NC Home)
    b) Keep Walcott in team line up and if he doesnt play then Mcnuff would be sub which will come in.

I really don't think that this decision will backfire. Spurs are an attacking side and with Dempsey, Lennon, Bale and perhaps Dembele soon providing balls in the box constantly, there is no reason he won't score. Also Ade is out for 2 more games. Perfect situation for him being a super-differential.

What advice would you recommend to this team for this week. 1 ft and a shocking week just gone.

    Federici (foster)
    Sagna - Baines - Cueller
    Cazorla - Michu - bale - Mata ( Pienaar)
    Berbatov - Tevez - ba

I originally was planning on transferring Pienaar but now thinking maybe Ba. not sure who for though.

Sess: It's clear he was having a poor season up until 2 or 3 weeks ago.

The question is this: Do we think his decent form in the last few games represents a real turnaround and do you think he's back to the form he showed last year?

It's really hard to assess if getting him would be chasing points or picking a player in-form.

Most players (this year) once starting to show form have continued to do so (obv. to varying degrees) but I think he's worth the chance(esp. with the DGW coming so soon)

There is no way to tell really. But lets just say his goal was a tap in and he fell over on the assist. There is always an element of luck. Luck isn't form.

You've got to be in the right place to get the tap-ins. Goal the previous week was pretty special and his general play has gone from non-existent to what I'd call 'simmering'. Did you see the last 2 Sun games or just highlights?

    Ideas for this team

    Jaaskelainen • Begovic
    Shorey • Baines • Cuellar • Wisdom • Hughes
    Pienaar • Puncheon • Mata • Morrison • Bale
Ba • Van Persie • Berbatov

2 FT, £2.3m in the bank.

    Which choice seems best?

    a) Ba → Tevez
    b) Ba → Suarez
    c) Pienaar → Sess
    d) Baines + Pienaar → cheap defender + any striker
    e) something else

    Thanks in advance. 🙂
