We ease ourselves into Gameweek 14 with two Tuesday night matches that, on the surface, promise little but may yet surprise.

It’s difficult to know what to expect from the clash at the Stadium of Light where Martin O’Neill’s Sunderland face Harry Redknapp’s new QPR “project”. Aston Villa’s meeting with struggling Reading provides the other distraction, a game devoid of established Fantasy assets but affording us the opportunity to assess the Royals’ potential ahead of the double Gameweek 16.

As always on matchday’s, our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to capture your views and emotions as the night’s action unfolds.

The team news finds Sunderland make two changes as John O’Shea fails to overcome the calf injury sustained against West Brom as Matt Kilgallon comes in; Craig Gardner starts ahead of Jack Colback in midfield. Redknapp is able to recall Jose Bosingwa to his back four, while Esteban Granero and Samba Diakite come into the midfield at the expense of Ale Faurlin and Shaun Derry.

Villa are forced into a change at the back with Ron Vlaar failing to recover from the injury that forced him off against Arsenal – Nathan Baker comes in to replace him. There’s also a change in midfield with Brett Holman getting the nod ahead of Karim El Ahmadi. Reading make two notable changes with Chris Gunter and Fantasy favourite Kaspars Gorkss making way, as Shaun Cummings and Adrian Mariappa are drafted in.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Santon > Cuellar

Good moves tonight? It will give me enough to get Suarez. I'll be holding off to see if he gets a yellow.

    Foster / Bego
    Baines / Cuellar / Cameron / Shorey / Nelson
    Felliani / Mata / Bale / Sess / Sterling
    Suarez / RVP / Berbs

    How about:

    a) Baines and Nelson -> Gibbs and Enrique? (-4)
    b) Berbs and Baines -> Giroud and Enrique (-4)

Any more ideas - much appreciated!

Both teams were playing rigidly with little movement making them a solid unit. Good for defending, poor for attacking. Despite this Fletcher still looked promising. I'm hoping McClean plays more, Fletch will get far more chances.

How do you reckon this looks for next week?

    Begovic
    Baines Sagna Clark
    Bale Nolan Cazorla Hazard
    Berbatov Ba Aguero(c)

    Gazzaniga Michu Cuellar Clyne

Thinking to save transfer and then next week do Sagna/Ba --> Enrique/Fletcher. Fletcher would probably only be a 1 week punt for the dgw. What say?

"Probably". And what evidence do you have to back up this claim?

Not much point arguing about it really, it's not like it'll be up for debate when we come to it.

Just think he'll be under instructions to get a yellow tomorrow.

Don't think so at all, too crucial.

+1, All this scaremongering about "possibilities". Its a load of cack. He has been on 4 yellows for a while now. The last thing rodgers would tell him is to take a yellow so he can miss an easy game.
