Maybe I underestimated Granville. Maybe his throwaway comment made at 10.32 on a weary Wednesday evening wasn’t throwaway at all. Maybe Granville is a Fantasy football mind games genius.

Regardless of whether his plan was pre-meditated and devious, it certainly worked as you’ll find out in this, episode ninety of the ScoutCast.

Aside from my sidekick’s scheming, we give dear old Leighton another rinse following his twanged hamstring, tackle the template midfield yet again, check on the market movements in “all aboard” and, of course, look forward to the weekend action. We also start spending points on the ScoutCast team: it’s the slippery slope. Where’s Granville’s genius when you need it?

Reveal the evil plan via this link or simply stream this latest episode on the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Doctor, might have eaten too much bacon, care to have a look?

    Begovic Foster
    Baines Cuellar Cameron Gorkss McCartney
    Bale Mata Michu Fellaini Puncheon
    RVP Tevez Berbatov

    Selection problems: Tevez Mata Gorkss
    Injury problems: McCartney Foster

Which of these will be back to full nailed-on-ness sooner rather than later?

Quick little vote as i'll be doing one of these in the next hour or so. A or B?

    A) Lambert & Baines > Suarez & Nelsen (£4.1m DEF)
    B) Ba & Baines > Suarez & Enrique/Mertesacker (£6.3m DEF)

Team at the moment for GW15 (BANK = £1.2m, 1 free transfer):

    Begovic(wba)
    Rafael(rdg) Santon(WIG) Baines(mci)
    Bale(ful) Silva(EVE) Fellaini(mci) Sterling(SOU)
    Ba(WIG) Van Persie(rdg) Lambert(liv)

subs - Foster, Sessegnon, Demel, Cuellar

    What ya reckon?

I'm probably gonna start the defender i get in the next 2 GWs so Reading are a bit of a no no. Plus what can you really see a Reading defender getting from that DGW?

Shorey has 'assist potential', 2 in last 3, the new Baines essentially at a fraction of the cost 🙂

Nah, you are probably right but wouldn't expect much from Nelsen either. Have had for a while, benched him during the week obviously.

Hoping for a QPR cleanie this week but more in hope than in expectation.

A). Even though I love Lambert's value, Ba has Wigan this week and then it's an easy swap to Berbs/Benteke or whoever is in style next week.

I'd do B. I really do think the Southampton attack has shown the ability to score against anyone and Lambert has good involvement (though obviously below Ba) . Quite the opposite for Newcastle of course. They also have a low scoring record in the last 12 matches against Wigan I think - only 13 goals in 12 games I think. Wigan may not be the best opposition for Newcastle, whether it's the bizarre formation or whatever.

    SO reluctant to ditch baines
I can do baines and fletcher to gibbs and suarez easily
    OR
keep baines and do jaask to tremmel (or cameron to marriapa) and fletch to suarez
    OR
    mata to bale
    baines to gibbs
    fletch to suarez

    team would be:
    GIBBS enrique demel (cuellar cameron)
    BALE michu santi felliani (puncheon)
    rvp SUAREZ ba

To those saying Michu over Taarabt.. Michu has Ars, Nor, Tott, Utd, Reading whereas Taarabt has Villa, Wig, Ful, New, Brom, Liv, Chels, Tott.

It would be perfect. Have Taarabt for Harry's honeymoon period and swap him out for Michu during the Reading gw after Utd where the fixtures change nicely for him whereas Taarabts go sour. Just a thought.

I will keep Nastasic as he has only been on the squad for a bit and Gorkss will stay as my 4.0 defender.

This leaves Wilkinson, Baines and A. Williams.

It's all speculation. I also read a *rumor* that he was out of favor for being personally responsible for 2 goals allowed in Wigan match. Maybe it's a one match slap on the wrist, maybe it's the birth of a child. Either way I can find no real info.

I am tempted to sell ba for 4 pt hit to get suarez. Or should I keep? Not sure, ba seems to be playing out wide in the front 3?

Don't sell Ba. He has been on form despite Newcastle not. He has been providing almost either a goal or assists weekly and he is their key player.

I think they're still playing 4-4-2 to be honest. No HBA sort of throws that idea out the window.

yes to the first move, no to the second. don't swap an in form, nailed on striker for one who has sat the last 3 games on the bench! city is a rotation minefield that you'll be better off avoiding

Find another way for Enrique. Utd are tightening up and Rafa has nailed down the RB spot and is also vsing Reading.

Suso and Assaidi are also both in competition to put pressure on Raheem Sterling, who could be rested having played a lot of first team action in the league this season.

    About the Mata issue.
He's clearly the best player in the squad that got rested one game and had a minor injury two weeks ago. Also got rested under RDM for the WBA game. So the sudden 'MataDrop Storm' must be influenced by Rafatation and coach change fear. Fair enough. But from the pts perspective I think he'll still deliver, although it must hurt loosing value for those that got him before the huge rise.
Will he be subjected to heavy rotation, a bit like City's Mancini? Is that the word/fear that's prevailing here atm?

it's not his quality, it's the rotation. It's hard to keep any type of form going when you are rested or given 30 mins in a game then played 90 mins the next week.

I agree that he's the best player by far. Hence why they choose to rest him and not the others. The stupid/ironic thing is that while they've tried to conserve their best player's energy...they've ended up going on a horrific run of form and struggled to score goals...it's pretty idiotic really. Imagine other teams doing what Chelsea have been doing lately...they'd be laughed at for throwing away their chances of success.

gahhh so frustrating! lost to parm in la liga by 1 point :(. and i was considering doing pienaar to walcott for a hit which would have left me 2pts better off. over the past few weeks have dropped from 3 points behind the leaders to potentially right above the drop zone... yikes!

Thoughts on Dempsey over the next few weeks? Does he have the potential to steal some of Bale's thunder?

Is a proven goalscorer playing in a Fellaini/Michu/Nolan position. Would be a clear differential
