Maybe I underestimated Granville. Maybe his throwaway comment made at 10.32 on a weary Wednesday evening wasn’t throwaway at all. Maybe Granville is a Fantasy football mind games genius.

Regardless of whether his plan was pre-meditated and devious, it certainly worked as you’ll find out in this, episode ninety of the ScoutCast.

Aside from my sidekick’s scheming, we give dear old Leighton another rinse following his twanged hamstring, tackle the template midfield yet again, check on the market movements in “all aboard” and, of course, look forward to the weekend action. We also start spending points on the ScoutCast team: it’s the slippery slope. Where’s Granville’s genius when you need it?

Reveal the evil plan via this link or simply stream this latest episode on the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Despite his praise in the scoutcast, and his goal at the week, I think I'm doing Michu -> Walcott this week. I'll be losing 0.5m in value, which hurts, but I can see his price dropping over these fixtures, plus with a suspension looming, it could end up a disaster if he misses the NOR game. Thoughts?

Michu (ars, NOR, tot, MUN, rea, ful)
Walcott (SWA, WBA, rea, wig, WHU, NEW)

If you do it or don't do it, and Michu blanks and Walcott goes big, you will be either really happy or really frustrated.

Same goes for if Walcott blanks and Michu goes big.

ok lads, little bit of of a pickle on my brain atm

Want to get Enrique in. Was planning to ship Clyne for him, especially as I currently have Clyne (liv) and Shorey (MNU). But given I also have Baines, Rafa and Huth and this will, in future, cause me major benching dilemmas. Is it worth ditching Huth now for Enrique since Stoke have 2 away games and mayne doing Clyne to Cameron (or someone else) in GW16 when Clyne has his blank? Would have no Stoke cover though

    Thoughts?

I think I will have to sell one of them, Cameron will also be a differential in ML and maybe more benchable than Huth. I think I can live without Stoke cover for the next 2 since they are away. If Baines wasn't injured it would be a lot easier

I don't understand the saying "It's better to be a week late than a week early?"

I have countless times this year where I have been a week late and missed out on good scores and "cashed in" on poor ones:

    Hazard, Lambert, Berb etc

I thought I was quite good at this game, but the past couple of GW's has revealed a trait that has derailed previous seasons and threatens to do the same this year.

GW13 - RVP and Taarabt out, Rooney and Valencia in (original plan was Walcott over Valencia, but Walcott was confirmed out and I pressed ahead with the move based on United playing QPR, WHU and rdg.)

GW14 - Valencia and Ba out, Larsson and Fletcher in. Just awful in hindsight - both transfers took place minutes before the 7.30pm deadline. DGW in mind, and QPR at home, meant this was a plain punt, pure and simple. The urgent move was Cuellar in for Saylor given his long term injury and Walcott in for Valencia despite the 'tricky' Everton away fixture.

It is *just* a game, but I hope I stop the over analysis and play with a little more patience. Perhaps I've learnt of my failings... no more hemmorhaging of points in 'clever' transfers. Ok, I'll stop after bringing in Mr Suarez and Mr Bale... 🙂

My girlfriend looks at her team and thinks about it for about 5 minutes and makes a transfer. She just did Mata to Bale. She has taken 3 x 4pt hits so far this week and is currently ranked 20,008th on 772 points.

Yep, there's definitely an argument for spending less time analysing the 'right' move, and letting your gut / subconcious take over - especially with captain decisions, funnily enough.

I need to distance myself from the game a bit next week, get a few good GW's under my belt, and come back refreshed. It's a funny ol' game alright.

I would say so, especially with Chelsea blank.

Key to Bale is stick with him through the hard times as the big scores bring the average in. I dumped for Hazard in GW4 or so as was too worried not to have him.

Bale went mental Hazard did nothing, then went back to Bale and he did nothing for weeks again!

Didn't realise you we're 0.1 short of Simpson to Enrique as obviously he has potential this weekend.

I quite rate Wigan going forward, but there is reasonable shout of a cleanie this weekend.

        Nolan?

        Front 8 is...

        Fellaini, Silva, Nolan, Michu, Sterling

        RVP, Suarez, Lambert

        2 FT's and 0.2m in the bank

Hmmm, I would get rid of Nolan but I don't think you can do Nolan > Bale even with the Baines transfer.

It's a tricky one, Bale is on fire but I would be loath to get rid of Silva. He's fantastic when he gets going

    Demel + Mata —> Walcott + Nastasic for -4?

What we think, I want to do the defensive move for sure as my defence is pants and I am not bothered about getting another DGWer. I have Shorey and may add Mingolet or no bother.

Walcott is teasing me, so sideways but considering a -4 to get Walcott for Santi, even though I thought he was a season keeper.

Wouldn't mind both really, but would be overkill and can't work out way to fit.

    Team is

    Foster, Begovic
    Baines, Rafael, Enrique, Nelson, Mariappa
    Bale, Santi, Fellaini, Sterling, Puncheon
    RVP. Aguero, Berbatov

Even if lose Baines or Aguero, doesn't give me that much for upgrading Sterling and.I actually want to play him for the homes coming up (have been benching away when possible so far and his average PPG for me is probably best in my team.

    Any suggestions?

The sane thing is to make the Walcott move next GW if I really must?

I still think he is, his scores overall are good, it's just the and this is after disappointments, so imagine if he fulfilled potential!

The concern is the fact that he is having more and more shots from outside area though and Walcott is effectively in a striker role, so will score more goals "if" he plays a similar amount of game time.

Arse have great fixtures but got no City coverage.

Everton have been a bogey team for Man City in recent years.

Baines is going to play. He had a dodgy hammy for 15mins according to Moyes yet they only used two subs. Sounds serious.

thanks, but I need to shift one of Huth or Baines I think to avoid benching dilemmas. Might shift Huth since I won't use him anyway for 2 away games and i can swap Clyne for Cameron in GW17.
