Begovic
Cuellar / Cameron / Jose Enrique
Bale / Ramirez / Mata / Fellaini / Sterling
Van Persie / Berbatov (c)
Jaaskelainen / Nelsen / Rafael / Suarez
Right, with Bale injured and Mata out next week, is this silly?
Raf > Nastatic
Sterling > MichuOpen Controls-
Help.... please..... what would you do with this team and 2mil?
Open Controls-
I'd get Michu in certainly. Not sure if for Sterling or for Ramirez though. I wouldn't be selling Raf for Nastatic yet, there's no real point if you plan on playing Cuellar, Cameron and Enrique.
Open Controls-
Yea i don't get why you would get a 5.5m defender who is a big rotation risk? but michu looks good
Open Controls-
Is he a big rotation risk? I'm just taken with City's fixtures.
I need a 5.7 or less defender with good fixtures til Jan so as to afford Sterling > Michu.
Any suggestions?Open Controls-
I think most city players are, and especially that he didn't play this w/e and has a decent competition in lescott..
Arsenal have good fixtures but i wouldn't complete trust them! although surely there's a few CS in them.. I think Clichy is pretty nailed on but not sure when he's backOpen Controls-
Cheers, Arsenal's form is making what should be an easy pick difficult.
I think Nastasic is as nailed on as any City defender who isn't Kompany can be. As far as I know he didn't play this week due to failing a late fitness test. Think the spot is his to lose.Open Controls

With Suarez and Bale out I'll have to play a 4th.
Raf out is to fund Sterling to Michu. I could take out Ramirez, but I've only just brought him in. I like the lad and want give him the chance to prove his nettle before I hoist him. With Suarez and Enrique, Sterling is a little bit overkill. And I don't really rate him.Open Controls

Once again the Stoke boys give me an above average score. Strange, first season I start to get consistently okay points and it's frustrating the hell out of me. I want the big hauls! 😀
Open Controls -
The thing about Roon is that he rarely wastes the ball. He's so keyed in to what's happening around him.
He was born to play football. If he does make an errant pass he will bust a gut to track back all the way to his own goal line to defend his mistake. Unlike some!!!
He will always take penalties. He will provide assists and score goals no matter what position he adopts.
He's matured as a player and rarely gets involved in handbags these days.
He is Man U essential FF coverage.Open Controls-
I don't know about essential ManU FF coverage...but I agree with all the rest of your post. He is an absolutely brilliant footballer and has matured greatly.
Open Controls-
Saw him lose possession on Saturday and tore off after the Reading player, he hastled him, but upon failing to regain possession just dropped back and forced the pass. A few years ago I would of put money on hi getting a booking.
He's still got the fire but is able to reign it in. His awareness of other players is incredible. It's the fact that he's got Penalties and still a good share of free kicks that makes him a viable Fantasy asst over RVP.Open Controls-
I definitely concur _He just looks so on it these days. My feeling is he will out score Sir Perc bar injury.
Open Controls
-
-
-
Don't think he is essential United FF coverage but everything else is spot on.
Open Controls-
The thing with the Fantasy game is my main point though.
If I had a choice between him and RVP_he wins hands down. There maybe an argument to have both but I'm not so sure. I stand by my point _he's essential .Open Controls-
Fantasy doesn't reward the yeoman-like work that he does so much of, though. The defense work, blocks, etc. that make him absolutely essential to United are largely ignored in FPL stats/point allocation.
FPL-wise, due to Rooney's importance in MF in the tougher games and the resultant positioning of RVP in the front/center makes RVP the more valuable FPL asset ... which you pay for.
If you're talking value for points, though, I think they're a dead draw.Open Controls-
Insightful tx
Open Controls
-
-
Which is fair enough I've just yet to justify his price in the fantasy game. Potentially something to be said for having both. I think what I really want is for the United squad to return to full strength. Then, I can see myself either having both or potentially having Roo over VP. Right now there is a threat of Roo winding up playing deeper than we want. Once the squad is back up to strength then it's a very different story.
Open Controls -
But in certain games he'll drops so deep so as to rarely get inside the box. He's essential for united, pulling the strings as he does, but with RVP constantly on the shoulder, looking to roll the defence and tap, stroke, poke, chip, power in goals, I'm not sure Rooney can be THE essential Man U coverage.
Open Controls-
I'm gonna stick my neck out and say Roon is the man. I think penalties and price tip the balance to make RVP a clear second best. tx guys.

'The thing about Roon is that he rarely wastes the ball. He’s so keyed in to what’s happening around him'.
True, in the Premier league. At a higher level he's been found out on numerous occasions. Especially at international level.Open Controls

As the cup starts in a couple of weeks i have a question.
Is it the top 2 million overall that qualify or just the top 2 million from GW 17?Open Controls-
No idea, but you will qualify either way
Open Controls -
overall. i think
Open Controls -
Overall i'd imagine. Too many inactives can get lucky in a gameweek. Would screw over loads of regulars with a bad week.
Open Controls-
ok, thanks guys. I haven't been outside the top 2 million for a gameweek yet but you never know, haha
Open Controls

I believe it's GW17's rank.

I started from gameweek 15 last year and qualify.

Anyone considering Crag Gardner at 4.9 for the DGW?
Open Controls-
How long is Cattermole out for?
He's a replacementOpen Controls

Am i crazy to consider captaining Walcott (WBA) this week? Other options are Fletch, Cuellar, Michu, Rvp, Fell, Caz
Open Controls-
No, of course not. Just not sure I would be putting my faith in Arsenal right now..
Open Controls-
Wenger needs to move on at the end of the season, they are not making any progress with him in charge.
Open Controls-
I hate Wenger .... but this is crazy-talk.
The problem with Arsenal is the Arsenal Board of Directors - who would rather see a top-4 finish and the knockout stage of the CL as 'wins' [due to cash influx] rather than spending money to actually, uh, win something.
It really is only Wenger's ability that has sustained them through this profit-taking period. Wishing him out but the retention of the Board/their business model is flirting with bottom-table obscurity.Open Controls

If there is any doubt about Fletcher starting the 2 games next gwk should I cut my losses and do Fletcher -> Berba?..
Open Controls -
Fletcher > Le Fondre (c) is tempting me.
Am I insane?Open Controls -
whos still keeping mata??
he has to be played but with rafa there now i think he'll be rotated more than tevez with manciniOpen Controls-
I'm keeping.
Open Controls -
Keeping. Chelsea's best player by a mile and crucial to their hopes of salvaging the season. Could have scored a hattrick on Saturday.
Open Controls-
ok good to hear.. i thought soo too but who knows with rafa......
bring back RDM too bad he's in valencia now...Open Controls
-
-
What the mata with rafa? Dumb choice, steer clear of the 4th worst permorming team on form at the moment
Open Controls -
Unfortunate for those without Fellaini and Michu this week, odds were against them scoring this week. Infortunately they have high ownership, am wondering who the bandwagon jumpers will replace them with when their form eventually dips? I'm beginning to think it's easier just to jump on bandwagons and ignore the fixtures, can't legislate for Arsenal having their worst start to a premiership season ever!
Game does my head in, there are no obvious patterns this year, very unpredicatable.Open Controls-
It's a combination of both, fixtures should always be looked at for the next 3wks ahead but the best way to play is to jump on, make money and points then move on, no emotion that way you can afford more and hopefully score well.
Open Controls-
My team looked uber strong this week, people who have been getting a run in their respective teams have been getting dropped with strong fixtures. While people like Fellaini and Michu continue to rack up the points each week, although there was a touch of fortune for one of Michu's goals and Fellaini's goal to add to my frustration. Throw in that I captained Suarez as well and my rank has dropped like a stone over last couple of weeks.
Open Controls-
That fixture was perfect to armband Suarez_you were very unlucky.
That's why we have to take our defeats on the chin because you can say I got that call right, but the FF god was against us... like a horse falling at the final hurdle.Open Controls
-
-
-
You realize Michu and Fellaini have been money since the start of the season, and that Arsenal have been pants, basically, since the season's start [and much like last year], right?
Open Controls-
Yeah but the stats for City's home form and Arsenal's goal scoring record at home suggested a shut out for City and goals for Arsenal. Neither of which happened, very frustrating. The two worst people who could have scored in terms of high owernship scored.
Open Controls-
Yes, but *I* owned them ... and that makes it All Good 😀

Guys, Lambert ➡ Defoe for free is the best transfer I can do for this week?
Open Controls-
Try long at wba good for next 3gw, leaving cash for def upgrades
Open Controls -
I wouldn't be selling Lambert if I had him, not with Reading at home next for Southampton.
Open Controls-
Maybe but there is no gw for him after and s'ton fixtures aren't amazing
Open Controls

Thanks guys. I think I'm good for next week. Maybe just to jump to Fellaini bandwagon.

2) Kaca to Robson Kanu( for dgw )Open Controls -

Can anyone enlighten me as to James Morrison's involvement recently. I have the feeling he's been playing a deeper role with Gera playing "in the hole". Anyone have an answer to this?

He's distracted by his move back to record his next album

WBA do look tasty at the mo though

I'd go with Shawcross for all the delicious baps. But if it has to be one of those then Nastasic.

I've got Beg and Cam already. It doesn't have to be one of them, but I'm trying my damndest to narrow it down.
