Norwich go eight unbeaten, scoring twice for the first time since Gameweek 6, as the Black Cats leave Carrow Road empty handed. Here’s the Stock Check after Sunday’s events…

On the Up

Anthony Pilkington
Eight goals last season, Pilkington has now blinked on the radar this term having notched his second consecutive home strike after scoring the winner against United. The Norwich midfield has an array of options – notably Wes Hoolahan and Robert Snodgrass; Pilkington emerged as the most profitable option last term and is edging his way to that status now.

Sebastian Bassong
While the Norwich defence was breached for the first time in three home matches, Bassong still delivered for his owners, earning the Canaries opener for his second goal in three outings. Assured of his start in an improved Norwich defence, the former Spurs man has played second fiddle to the popular Javier Garrido but is 0.2 cheaper with a clear threat from set-plays.

Craig Gardner
Much like the Norwich midfield, there are options across Martin O’Neill’s side in this area with Gardner now perhaps emerging as the most potent option. Having struck eight Premier League goals with Birmingham in 2010/11, we know that Gardner can carry a goal threat when given the freedom to support the attack with his long-range shooting. Gardner could have bagged more goals today, denied by a fine Mark Bunn save in the second-half. At 4.9 in the FPL, Gardner offers budget coverage of Sunderland’s double Gameweek.

Going Down

Steven Fletcher
Undoubtedly Sunderland’s main goal threat after firing six goals this term, Martin O’Neill was forced to withdraw his leading scorer with an ankle knock. We await further news ahead of Sunderland’s two fixtures this Gameweek, with O’Neill stating that he is uncertain on the prognosis: further news is expected on Monday or Tuesday.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Mark or other scouts, just comparing Ramirez and Puncheon and it says Puncheon has 2 goals, 1 assist. Are the rest of Puncheons stats still accurate?

Our data is Opta data who have a different definition of an assist than PA and therefore the FPL - an assist has to be intentional to register with Opta.

Probably. Rafa is out of his honeymoon period (if he ever really had one). Winning is paramount and Mata helps you win games.

Plan is to save a free transfer this week, then get rid of Larsson and Fletcher pronto. I cringe every time I see my team.

I have to say Swansea are playing some of the best football I've ever.
What a pleasure to watch there crisp passing attacking style. Even without Hernandez (key player)
    they outplayed a decent Ars.

Fantastic stuff !_ Any players from that team are worthy of FF investment.

I like Nor too and look 4ward to them squaring up soon. Great stuff swans.

    Morning All...

PLEASE! Any advice welcome on the following problems:

    1. Bale is injured.. I want to take him out for a mid but I'm caught up between Felli and Michu (who is 1 yellow away from suspension).
    2. Like an idiot, I subbed Baines for Nasti thinking he wouldn't play.. Keep or revert to Enrique?

    I've got 1 FT and 1 m to spend.

Sorry if you have read this before, posted twice yesterday but got no constructive responses so thought I would try again today when it is quieter!

I play Telegraph game - no subs just starting 11, 30 transfers for the season and I have used 15, no captains, no bonus points, player values never change. My team is:

    Begovic
    Enrique Mertesacker Ivanovic
    Bale Michu Fellaini Cazorla
    RVP Suarez Ba

Annoying I only got Bale last week in place of Hazard! If he is out for only a week I would probably keep and do this GW with men but if he is out for 2-3 i would be much morewary.

Thoughts, specifically re Bale? If consensus is to switch, for who? Can afford anyone...Silva? Cheers guys.

I think your team looks awesome. I have the same problem with Bale.. not much news but fantasy PL said 25% chance of playing next week. I'm guessing 2 GW's.. Might be worth a x-fer if you don't get subs.
