We’re down to the last 64, then, as we roll out the draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII. The fixtures will be played out over Gameweek 16 and once again Iyad Zahlan remains the highest ranked manager still in the hat. The overall number two takes on davescold this weekend, though the latter may fancy his chances after knocking out donellyc, our last remaining previous winner, in Gameweek 15.

Donaldo arrives in the final 64 having seen off my conqueror “The Shadow”; he now faces Hot Water, who has crept into the top 1,000 this week and already has a couple of double Gameweek players in his ranks.

        Is he still an assured pick though? Not for the first time he was shown up by a winger and his reaction won't have gone down well with Fergie- Smalling, Jones and Valencia can all play there. At least Shorey should return 4 points back, assured starts and takes the corners and free kicks

                  How? 2 goals (1 penalty) back in week what, 4? against 10 men is hardly an argument. Watch the games for god sakes, he is quite clearly playing a lot deeper in attack than he was against Arsenal etc. Even the 'stats' back it up Martin.

                    The stats also show he's not doing much lately in the way of scoring goals or even getting shots (last game he had none) Sure he looks like the best player on the pitch when playing but the idea that he needs Ruiz to score doesn't sound too reassuring. He better start taking some shots or he's a goner. I just think it's overly exaggerated that it's only because Ruiz isn't there that he can't score.

        Starts isn't the biggest thing though, look at Tevez in the overall points so far. Berbatov may start but 2, 2, 2, 2 from any striker is annoying!

          True... I'm hoping that won't continue though. I guess it depends if you're in a H2H league or not - then your week to week scores matter more. Also, if you're wanting a captaincy option, then starts is more important.

            Yeah, either way you want your striker starting though so it's a big point. Ba probably looks the best, after all Arsenal and United are hardly the most solid defences at the moment.

      Berb.....however with Ruiz out for another 4 weeks, i fear that Petric will be starting up front and Berba playing a deeper role. I think that part of the reason that FUL have failed to score in the past 3 weeks is because of this.

    Is it madness to transfer Bale>Walcott even though i have Cazorla?

    The second part of the plan is to Caz > Mata in GW 18.

    Doubling up on ARS mids for the next 2 GW is not a bad shout given their fixtures. It is a nice way to obtain Theo without a "sideways transfer" Caz>Walcott.

              2 CM. It can leave you exposed but if you defend well you can hit the other player on the counter quickly. Depends on your playing style, i play quick one two passes with a lot of through balls.

      Keeping. My replacements WERE meant to be Davies (NOR) and Sterling (AVL) before a moment of confusion and technological let downs meant it will be Davies (NOR) and Jones (WHM)/Shorey (ARS)

      With Walcott/Fellaini/Michu I couldn't see anyone I wanted that I feel will outscore the above by -4 and be worth a FT down the line.

        That's kinda what I am thinking (contrary to popular opinion on here obviously)

        Already got all the midfielders I actually want...Cazorla - Fellaini - Michu - Sterling (and Bale)

        Wouldn't mind Walcott but don't want to double on Arsenal, Nolan has bad fixtures, Sunderland don't score many and have bad fixtures despite the DGW

        Will just have to sit it out I think and make sure the rest of my squad is strong enough to cover the 1-2 week absence

    This is how my team sits at the mo any opinions would be appreciated. I really would like to make a few changes but don't think they are probably worth taking hits.
