Most of our Suspension Tightrope protagonists were on their best behaviour last weekend. While Ashley Williams and Ramires fell foul of the referee’s wrath, both will now serve their respective one-match bans in the Capital One Cup – for a certain Spaniard on the other hand, there’s still time for that to change prior to next weekend.

Michu remains on four yellows and continues to pick up vast numbers of new suitors after notching another double against Norwich, though a caution in Wednesday’s Capital One Cup clash against Middlesbrough would earn him a one-match ban for the Swans’ trip to Tottenham next Sunday. Ashley Williams misses out in midweek for the Swans after picking up his fifth caution, while Chelsea’s Ramires will skip the Blues’ cup showdown with Leeds on December 19 for the same reason. Villa pair Ciaran Clark and Fabian Delph both balance precariously prior to tomorrow’s cup clash at Norwich.

Fulham’s home game with Newcastle this evening has a trio of players sitting on four yellows – Steve Sidwell for the hosts and Jonas Gutierrez and Cheick Tiote for Alan Pardew’s visitors. The Magpies also have a couple of players on three cautions apiece, Davide Santon and Mike Williamson.

Only one player moved onto the Suspension Tightrope last weekend, then – Everton’s Leon Osman shifted onto four yellows after picking up a booking in the 2-1 home win over Spurs yesterday, while former Toffee Wayne Rooney is now on three yellows, just two away from a one-match ban, after his caution in the Manchester derby.

Luis Suarez is available for Liverpool this weekend after serving a one-match suspension in yesterday’s win at West Ham, while Stoke welcome back Charlie Adam after the midfielder sat out their draw at Villa. Wigan pair Gary Caldwell and Maynor Figueroa also return to bolster the Latics’ backline for Saturday’s visit to Norwich.

Finally, John Obi Mikel is in the middle of a three-match ban received for foul and abusive post-match language and behaviour relating to Chelsea’s game with United back in October. With the Blues away on World Club Championship duty this coming weekend, Mikel will miss the Capital One Cup game against Leeds on December 19 in addition to the league game at home to Villa four days later.

    Argh Diame might be out for 12 weeks just as West Ham's fixtures start to ease up. West Ham fans, is it worth keeping Jussi and/or buying Nolan, who I was considering?

      Keep Jussi til January WC, then monitor the situation. Diame makes West Ham tick.

    I went to a shop, to buy a t-shirt.

    Both t-shirts were 100% cotton.

    They had different labels.

    One cost £2.99

    The other cost £29.99

    I bought the more expensive one, cause I am smart & successful.

        Maybe they are both made in the same place, by the same people, with the same material...

        BUT, one has a brand logo on it & people pay more for it cause of that, because they went to be deemed successful & not a poor loser.

          this is also true. many pirate products are being made in the same factory by the same people. BUT if you compare clothes made in europe to clothes made in china/indonesia, they are obviously much cheaper which are made in china/indonesia and the workers are not treated humanilly there

            BS.

            It's all sweatshop produced, except you pay the extra money for them to market their branded products to you.

              we're not talking about the same thing here. of course the expensive brands use sweatshops and charge you on the brand only. but there are also clothing factories in europe, usa.. and clothes from these factories are never cheap.

    accept the fact you cant have all the points in fpl. tevez, aguero, rooney, rvp, suarez, berbatov, GIROUD. no matter which 3 you choose you're gonna want the others too at some point. same goes to midfielders bale, mata, michu, fellaini, santi, silva. accept the fact you cant have it all and you can sleep again

        Thanks. The question of his fitness and not as much love for his fixtures as others here is why I am thinking now, actually. It's certainly a short-term issue that I am reacting to, but rest of season, I can't shake the feeling that Silva might be the one in midfield.

      Repost from last page :
      Just a point , IMO silva is lagging behind Bale Mata Michu and Fellani and possibly even Carzola on terms of points returns at end of season ,
      If you could manage it that would be my ideal 5.

        Sorry, just saw this -- thanks for the repost.

        I broke up that exact platinum midfield last month, and with Mata and Weimann for Puncheon and Ba came the insecurity of wanting both my expensive mids to be firing at all times -- very Roman of me, I know. If Silva is Bale's equal then it solves both my short and longterm problems, but I don't yet have the data to sort it. To the member tables!

      rvp seemed to be doing a lot of link up play yesterday but i think that was just because it was a derby and rooney was coming from deep to take advantage of city's midfielders who cant track runs or defend. i would go with rvp because he is more advanced and rooney does the link up play

      I have Pienaar on my bench with 10pts waiting to come in if Fletcher doesn't play.

      This almost guarantees that he will get one point this evening. I am guessing maybe 62 minutes + a yellow card.

      He's likely to play from what I can gather. I think he'll start, and if he doesn't do well versus Reading at home I don't know when he is supposed to.

    So...i had to make 2 decisions last week:
    1) Bring in Michu or Sessegnon (as captain) for Bale
    2) Play Enrique or Clyne.

    that 30 point swing hurts pretty bad at the moment...

    Federici (Mignolet)
    Cameron Cuellar Shorey (Demel Clyne)
    Cazorla Fellaini Sterling (Mata Puncheon)
    Rvp Ba Suarez

    3.7 in bank
    1 FT

    In a horrid position where i can do anyone in my midfield to michu but cant justify takin any out, either cause they're one of the few players i have playin this week or they are tremendous value(mata, punch).. should i just do Punch to Michu and get 11 out? or do Demel to G.Johnson instead.. dont mind a hit this week either to solve my defensive issues

      team is fine for this week. I'd play Demel over Cuellar if he is fit and the other defenders are okay. Definitely don't need a hit anyway. Maybe do one of your defenders > GJ or whoever to get 11, if you're happy with the other mids Michu doesn't matter.

        think i may just skip the michu boat till WC.. Demel needs to be fit and in the frame for a place in the startin 11 too(Mcartney 🙁 ) Surely Schezny and Johnson will pay me back for the hit over this week/the next few weeks ?

      Simpler form
      A) Puncheon to Michu
      B) Ba to Rooney and Cuellar to Nelsen (means only 10 players this week though) (-4)
      C) Demel to Sagna/gibbs/Johnson
      D) Mignolet to Schezny along iwth A)/B) for a hit to field 11

      Thanks

      "The right players" aren't necessarily the ones who score best though, it's the ones who are likeliest to score best. Easy in retrospect to say you play the wrong players.

        The right players are the ones who score best. Retrospect or not. Holt & Torres might not have been the "sensible" choices for forwards this week, but so far they are the right ones to have had, right?

    Foster, Begovic
    Rafael, Enrique, Cuellar, Wilkinson, Shorey
    Cazorla, Fellaini, Michu, Morrison, Puncheon
    RVP, Suarez, Defoe

    2FT, £1.8 in bank

    Considering:
    RVP -> Rooney
    Wilkinson -> Shawcross
    Cuellar -> Bassong
    Morrison -> Snodgrass

    Team for next week as it stands. I have taken a hit to financ Rooney already. Half tempted to launch the wild card too sort out ditching Cueller and improve the keepers

    Foster (hopefully)
    Cueller - Sagna - Baines - Nelsen
    Cazorla - Michu - Fellaini
    Berbatov - Rooney - Suarez

    Only sub is Federici

    What do you think? Rooney will be captain.

      You know Torres will be playing, that's the problem. Having Tevez and not knowing if he's starting is so annoying.

      Transferring in Torres should be something that's done quietly so that you can transfer him out without anybody knowing you did something so silly haha.
