Most of our Suspension Tightrope protagonists were on their best behaviour last weekend. While Ashley Williams and Ramires fell foul of the referee’s wrath, both will now serve their respective one-match bans in the Capital One Cup – for a certain Spaniard on the other hand, there’s still time for that to change prior to next weekend.

Michu remains on four yellows and continues to pick up vast numbers of new suitors after notching another double against Norwich, though a caution in Wednesday’s Capital One Cup clash against Middlesbrough would earn him a one-match ban for the Swans’ trip to Tottenham next Sunday. Ashley Williams misses out in midweek for the Swans after picking up his fifth caution, while Chelsea’s Ramires will skip the Blues’ cup showdown with Leeds on December 19 for the same reason. Villa pair Ciaran Clark and Fabian Delph both balance precariously prior to tomorrow’s cup clash at Norwich.

Fulham’s home game with Newcastle this evening has a trio of players sitting on four yellows – Steve Sidwell for the hosts and Jonas Gutierrez and Cheick Tiote for Alan Pardew’s visitors. The Magpies also have a couple of players on three cautions apiece, Davide Santon and Mike Williamson.

Only one player moved onto the Suspension Tightrope last weekend, then – Everton’s Leon Osman shifted onto four yellows after picking up a booking in the 2-1 home win over Spurs yesterday, while former Toffee Wayne Rooney is now on three yellows, just two away from a one-match ban, after his caution in the Manchester derby.

Luis Suarez is available for Liverpool this weekend after serving a one-match suspension in yesterday’s win at West Ham, while Stoke welcome back Charlie Adam after the midfielder sat out their draw at Villa. Wigan pair Gary Caldwell and Maynor Figueroa also return to bolster the Latics’ backline for Saturday’s visit to Norwich.

Finally, John Obi Mikel is in the middle of a three-match ban received for foul and abusive post-match language and behaviour relating to Chelsea’s game with United back in October. With the Blues away on World Club Championship duty this coming weekend, Mikel will miss the Capital One Cup game against Leeds on December 19 in addition to the league game at home to Villa four days later.

one thing I learn from this season is form over fixture, for the proven fantasy prospect.

snodgrass looks good, but he has been rotated quite a few matches, so prepare for that.

I am thinking that I will market myself out to Premier League managers.

If they pay me a certain fee each week, I will be sure not to pick their players for my fantasy team, thus giving them the edge in the fixture. For an extra consideration, maybe I could offer to choose their opponents key players?

        GW positions for last few

Just looked at your team. It's not clear where all the money has gone. Your MF is very weak, and yet you have an ordinary def and fwds. Sorry to spell it out so bluntly! 😉

Well I have 5.0 in the bank....
It was all looking good until a few weeks back when I dithered and decided to stay calm and not play WC. Defence has been dire for weeks but I was hoping to ride it out and got hit with injuries/suspensions etc.

If you read the transfer history you can see where it went pear shaped....

Yep that was going to be this week with Fletcher going up to Suarez or something.

Basically all was good and I was about to take out Ivanovic to upgrade Pienaar and had a defence crisis so had to keep Ivan..... then put in Fletcher (who was on a roll/dgw and then got injured) for Jelavic... then Bale for Mata, etc etc Morrison(wba)just before he got put into DMF....

Just a lot of poor decisions that looked very sensible at the time.

                I am thinking WC time...

      The game is mostly luck.

Look at this weeks scout picks, for example.

They have a WC every week, can even have 4 strikers...

They have all these tables & stats...

Yet, more often than not, they flop.

The people that persist with the game throughout the season, tend to finish higher, due to injuries etc.

      Complete luck.

    Rooney vs. RVP post!

Don't people think having both is too much? If you could pick one who would you pick?

SAF says Rooney needs to play every game so don't you guys think that RVP will be more likely to be rotated with Chicharito & Welbeck? Also, Rooney is on penalties and cheaper, looked more dangerous in the derby as well.

doubling up on united attack has historically worked, if you can fit them in (which is easy given the budget defenders doing okay and mid priced mids exploding) then they'll be among the top scorers this season so of course it makes sense.

    Plain and Simple
    Federici (Mignolet)
    Cameron Shorey Cuellar (Demel Gorkks)
    Fellaini Sterling Santi (Mata Puncheon)
    Rvp Suarez Ba

    3.7 in bank
    1 FT
    A) Puncheon to Michu
    B) Demel to G.johnson/Nastasic (if kompany out for a month)
    C) Mignolet to Schezny AND Demel to G.Johnson/Nastasic

My thinking is my current keepers will get just 1's and 2's till Jan if i'm lucky and i need to field 11 this week so cant take out a guy who's playin. Also, i find Puncheon to be brilliant value and would love to keep him but needs must? Not gr8 fixtures afte next week either and i'd much rather sterling off the bench for those(Though punch could be bargain of the season long term at 4.5).. thanks

From what I've seen he's more nailed on than Gallas lately.

Spurs are leaking goals late on which is their fatal flaw. But I generally think they are defensively quite sound and have allowed teams few chances.

This, but they sound like fairly sensible options.

Make sure your other keeper rotates well with Guzan.

Tempted to bring in Roonpig for Tevez but need to do it tonight as i have exactly the right money.

Already have RVP but think doubling up on Man U attackers is a problem as they will score plenty of goals in the next 5 games (prior to WC).

Only problem is it leaves me no cash to strengthen elsewhere and no Man City coverage.

    Current team below:

    Bego / Jussi
    Enrique / Rafa / McAuley / Bardsley / Cuellar
    Fellaini / Michu / Carzorla / Sterling / Morrison
    RVP / Tevez / Berbatov

    What do you reckon?

Puncheon to Michu 😎 .. really love Punch(@4.5) and feel if i kept him he'd really help my squad when i'm buildin a team in Jan WC, but i gotta get some Michu and i realise that i'll barely be playin Punch as it is till GW 21(and has bad fixtures too) .. Tough love, but gotta be done 🙁

I'm now contemplating keeping Tevez until January WC - decent fixtures and think it may have FINALLY clicked with Mancini that Tevez should be one of the first names on the teamsheet (with Balotelli being nowhere near).

    Jaask / Bego
    B.Jones /Sagna /Shorey/ Cameron /J.Enrique
    Bale /Fellaini /Michu /Taarabt /Sessegnon
    RVP/ Tevez /Ba
    2FT 2,4M in the bank

so i want to get Suarez in here and don't want to ditch Tevez at least for the next 2 weeks in order to see where he stands in Mancini picking order, so Ba must open way for the bucktooth right? but i also want to get rid of Sesse and if i don't ditch Tevez i can not upgrade him, in order to stick with Tevez i would have to get for a few weeks a mid priced midfielder in place of Sesse like Snodgrass who plays Wigan at home and his the best to rotate with QPR Taarabt and later on decide wether i should or shouldn't stick with Tevez... any opinions?
