We’re now down to the final 32 as we roll out the sixth round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII. The fixtures take place over the upcoming Gameweek 17 and we have four of the top 1,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers still in with a shout of the silverware.

World number three Iyad Zahlan remains our leading contender – he’s up against El Pieman, who sits in 1,178th position. Elsewhere, JMS, who is currently 203rd overall, MileHigh – in 437th position – and HongKong TractorBoys, who has moved up to 567th spot, are the three other big scalps on the line this weekend.

        Hahah fair enough, but I actually thing it's one of the biggest misconceptions in FPL, a defender can easily get 7points+ with a clean sheet without any goals or bonus, whereas a midfielder has to get a goal or nearly two assists to match that

      short of shifting Sess there is not much you can do. Wait for new on Bale, if he's back this week you can get him for Sess and bench one of Theo or Sterling. if not maybe just save the FT hope for the best and re-asses this week. You at least have a full subs bench.

      I might not even use my two FTs and just hope for some miraculous cameos since chasing points this week might hurt my long term plans. That will be translated with time and bourbon into an 8 pt hit and a 23 for the week, but right now I am trying to play it cool.

          As far as i'm aware it's mainly the highest ranked players still left in the draw, as they're obviously seen as the big scalps and their match ups would involve potential "giantkillings".. It doesn't really matter if they're a regular or if you'd never heard of them before as their tie stands out due to their rank.

          No big deal though

    Really frustrates me when footballers are given a "rest/breather/rotated" over Christmas especially the bigger clubs i mean its not as if there are CL matches i could understand rotation for this cause. Tell you something if i was on a fraction of their salary i would be busting a gut. These 20k + players have it far too easy.

        I presume you mean why would it be surprising?, for a number of reasons, for a start no Sterling or Enrique and Joe Cole starting in the premier league, aswell as Shelvey as part of a front three, also Downing left back instead of Johnson left back with Wisdom at the right.
