We knew it was coming. After his moments of madness in Everton’s draw with Stoke on Saturday, Marouane Fellaini has been charged with violent conduct by the FA this afternoon and will now miss the next three fixtures over the festive period.

A statement on the Toffees official website revealed that while referee Mark Halsey saw two incidents involving both players – and deemed neither as “violent conduct” – he failed to see this headbutt , allowing the FA to retrospectively slap a ban on the Belgian.

Having notched eight goals and four assists so far, Fellaini’s loss will be a substantial one as David Moyes’ men take on West Ham, Wigan and Chelsea but from a Fantasy perspective, today’s news is equally crucial. The second most popular player in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Fellaini currently has 43% ownership but that is set to dramatically plummet as Fantasy managers quickly look to fill the void left by his impending absence.

As mentioned in our earlier Suspension Tightrope article, we’re already making plans to address the situation – a “Fellaini Exit Route” article is very much in the pipeline over the next day or so. Keep an eye open for that one.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Bare in mind that the majority of buyers were later in the season so a high proportion of his ownership are active players. This will presumably mean he drops in price fairly dramatically.

Is Yaya the obvious replacment for Fellaini if I have Silva in my midfield..

Surely they won't both get in the points with Aguero, Tevez (Ballotelli & Dzeko)

Taraabt is as G. Nev said, 'worth a punt''. QPR have a few games where they can get points on the board and expect Taraabt to do something at least. Worst case, you'll get a small price rise out of him.

Has to be yaya I think. Silva normally plays better but never seems to get the points he should. Maybe an assist or two but a goal is a real bonus. Yaya seems more of a goal threat. Taarabt did tempt me but a) He's on 4 yellows, b) Citehs fixtures are mouthwatering and c) He's played well but only produced the goods this week, flash in the pan maybe???!

going with yaya toure up until jan wildcard (might not be first choice for me usually but fixtures are good), then think about a proper rejig

It's when overpaid fat idiots who do nothing but sit at the front of virtually automated train decide they want more money.

The tube is basically the subway (incase you didn't know what that was, it's a underground train) and the people who work it are striking because apparently they don't get paid enough (they do!)

Because they figure if they screw up the lives of millions of Londoners, it will show that they're serious about their pay demands.

They want lot's of money for working over the xmas period which includes xmas day.
They have a slight point but the money they are asking for is ludicrous

fellow american here, I though for sure it was the TV industry that could strike, but I see the tube resemblance in this said underground transportation vessle

would be cooler if they dubbed it the sausage strike

get Mata / Silva and then swap for Bale after his suspension for 5th yellow or after New Year, when yellows will be canceled
