Meh, I think Shorey should have jumped for the ball or made some attempt to stand his ground. He just ducked out of the way as soon as he saw the ball come over.
I think the ref gave the correct decision. Shorey showed no interest in competing for that cross whereas Barry went for it all guns blazing.
If Shorey had have looked like he wanted a part of it I'd be inclined to sympathise with Reading and say that the ref should have given a free kick. But he didn't so it was a perfectly good goal as far as I'm concerned.
Shorey showed about as much interest as Bosingwa does when he plays for us, but a least he's not on £65k a week.......Open Controls

Had Villa been able to keep the score down to a respectable 7 - 0 at Chelsea, I would have made it through.
Had Ridgewell or Gallas spent 1 minute on the pitch between them, I would have made it through.
Had RVP not got a yellow for reacting to an attempted murder, I would have made it through.
