Preview Movie – The Hall of Fame

As mentioned in our earlier Christmas message, we’ve got a couple of new content releases coming in the next week or so, with the addition of the Fantasy Football Scout Hall of Fame and the full implementation of the Rate My Team tool.

The first of these can be previewed in the movie below, in which I’m joined by Chris Atkinson, the creator of Rate My Team statistical model and the algorithm behind the Hall of Fame.

What is the Hall of Fame?
In simple terms, this is as ranking system which can be applied to everyone in our Fantasy Premier Leauge mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. The Hall of Fame tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a ranking according to the performances. We have a career table that updates every season and a live table that will be updated using the latest season data, after every Gameweek.

How is my rating calculated?
The “HoF Rating” is based on your points scores from previous FPL seasons, with the latest season weighted the heaviest and each corresponding season weighted at roughly 80% that of the previous season. So, in other words, those who performed best in 2011/12 will receive a bigger HoF Rating boost from those who did best in 2006/07. The “HoF Ranking” even allows for those with missing years, adapting the formula accordingly to allow to rank alongside the veterans of the FPL.

How do I join the Hall of Fame
Simply sign up to our leagues, either the Fantasy Football Scout Classic League (40184-13425), or if you’re a member, the Members Classic League – the code is available on the dashboard of the Members Area.=

How do I find myself in the Hall of Fame?
The search box at the top of the ranking tables allows you to search by surname or by FPL id.

What if I don’t want to be listed?
Either notify us via support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or simply leave the Fantasy Football Scout league and you’ll be removed on the next update.

When does the Hall of Fame get updated?
The Career table is available to all and is updated at the end of each season to display the latest rankings.

The Live version of the Hall of Fame is updated every week to use the latest season data. This version will only be available to our members in the Members Area. If you wish to get access to the live version, you can sign up as a member – our half season membership and membership rates are due to go live on January 1.

When will the Hall of Fame be available?
All being well, we are rolling out the Hall of Fame, together with the full implementation of Rate My Team, for January 1.

            🙂 i told all my rivals about this site and totalfpl (for price change information) years ago. back then i was crap at this game but i still like a level playing field. of course there's a strong argument that this site is available for anyone with the wherewithall to seek it out, but i was lookin at some of the idiotic transfers they were makin and couldn't take it any more

    Saw a couple posts about consistency over the years. Check this out. It took some digging as I came across it about a year ago. Possibly the most consistent fpl manager of all time. Best I've seen anyway.

            I can't see funds that would justify upgrading anyone to Mata, unless you do Silva.

        Well most of my players don't play 90 minutes every week, aren't 31 years old, and aren't playing as restable a fixture as SOU.

        But, yes, using my logic I would expect any older player in my team who's not had a rest in ages and has a non-vital fixture to not start 1 game out of 3 played in the same week.
