Tony Pulis will need to reshuffle his defensive options after two of Stoke’s regular back-four fell foul of the referee’s wrath against Liverpool in Boxing Day. Ryan Shawcross and Geoff Cameron will now sit out the Potters’ home clash against Southampton after accruing their fifth cautions of the campaign in Wednesday’s 3-1 win:

The duo are two of four players who are set to serve an automatic one-match ban in Gameweek 20. Villa’s Fabian Delph and Newcastle centre-half Mike Williamson are also sidelined against Wigan and Arsenal respectively.

While those four are unavailable, a quartet of new protagonists appeared on the Suspension Tightrope after receiving their fourth cautions of the campaign in midweek. Yaya Toure, Bradley Johnson, Jean Beausejour and Maynor Figueroa will all need to be on their best behaviour this upcoming weekend, as will 27 other players, including the likes of Robin Van Persie, Michu, Gareth Bale, Jermain Defoe, Adel Taarabt and Kevin Nolan; once Gameweek 20 is out the way, though, the limit is then extended to 10 yellows. So far, a quartet on players lead the race for that dubious honour – Luis Suarez, James Perch, Craig Gardner and Angel Rangel all have seven bookings apiece.

Both Darron Gibson and Carlton Cole are available this weekend, however. The FA have overturned three-match bans handed out to the pair in West Ham’s Gameweek 18 home clash with Everton – good news for those Fantasy managers eyeing up Cole as a possible double Gameweek punt; the 4.9 priced forward has produced two goals, an assist and six bonus points in four games since deputising for the injured Andy Carroll.

Elsewhere, Cheick Tiote returns for Newcastle’s trip to Arsenal after sitting out their 4-3 defeat at Old Trafford, while Marouane Fellaini serves the final fixture of his three-match ban as Everton welcome Chelsea to Goodison Park.

    bego, bunn
    nastasic, ivanovic, rafael, davies, nelsen
    mata, bale, fellaini, michu, sterling
rvp, suarez, berba - 0.1 in bank

I'm not a fan of fantasy cups normally.... mainly because I have never won a cup match before this season, as proven by my hammering by a dead team in FPL Cup gw1 😀 I normally play for rank and hope for the best in the cup...

However, I find myself in strange territory being in the QF of the PP Cup.. Having got this far with a £200 prize and prizes for the first three it seems wrong to just hope for the best...

So the question is.. Would you take a hit for a cup match if you were as sure as you can be that you could field 11 without a hit, non of whom were mingers?

As you're close to cash prizes, I'd go all out for the cup. Might hurt your ranking a bit, but a bit of extra cash winnings would make up for that, I'm sure.

what reason would you then have to take a hit, unless you were absolutely sure that the player you were bringing in will outscore the player you are selling by at least 4? Unless the player in question is Michu in which case I'd say it depends on when you bought him

Had Tevez all season but thinking of selling now. He's dropping tonight.

Swapping for Ba gives me enough money to bring Fellani back next week? How many games before Ba goes to Africa?

    Right move?

    Team linked.

    Cheers clever people.

African Cup of Nations [ACN] or African Nations Cup [ANC], officially CAN (French for Coupe d'Afrique des Nations)

If you had Tevez all season, that means his price fall won't affect you for tonight, as his Selling price will still be 9.2 when he's 9.4

    Likely Newcastle team v Arsenal

    Krul

    Simpson, Colo, Perch, Santon

    Bigirimana, Anita/Ferguson, Tiote, Marveaux

    Ba, Cisse

    That midfield is awful.

      Anita won't be fit!

Although Obertan Bigi Tiote Marveaux isn't too bad!

Granted its nowhere near the quality of our 1st choice players but Marveaux's looked good lately, Bigi is a very talented and hard working youngster and Obertan might not be the greatest PL winger but he's still not the worst.

How does this plan of action look?

GW 21 Silva > Caz for the Saints game

      GW 22 Save

GW23 Baines > Gibbs and Sterling > Nolan/Walcott for free or added to that Tevez > Podolski for +4

This would leave me with a DGW squad of...

      Bego

      Gibbs Walker Cuellar Davies Shorey

      Bale Caz Michu Nolan/Walcott Punch

      Suarez RVP Tevez (Podolski)

Probs go for Nolan and then see how his form is/ upgrade to Fell. What do people think? Arse in particular and West Ham are stronger than Sunderland and Reading so there would be less of a need to jettison their assets straight afterwards. It is a shame that I don't have any from either team at the moment. Faith in Silva has not been rewarded 🙁

      Any help muchly appreciated
