The hot favourite was sent packing from the quarter finals last weekend, as former world number one Iyad Zahlan was swept aside by “MileHigh†by 80 points to 46. The latter now moves up to 58th in the overall standings and will be joined in the last four by Wild Rover, who edged past Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad by two points in a battle of the site regulars.

Kun Nguyen also earned a place in the semi-finals with an upset of his own, defeating JMS 65-58, while David Bevan’s “Ange1Range1†scraped through on overall rank after drawing 50-50 with another familiar name on site, Ricky Smokes Lets Go.

The Semi-Final draw will follow later this week, with the last four clashing in Gameweek 22 as we take a break for the New Year’s Day programme. Those now involved now have the option to ponder whether to play their January Wildcards prior to their Gameweek 22 tie. Tense stuff.

1ange1range150* – 50Ricky Smokes lets go
2JMS58 – 65Mr.KK
3Wild rover49 – 47Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad
4Giavara55546 – 80MileHigh

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Just read whoscored previews.

They predict Mata will start and Lampard on the bench.

Mata did mention he want to play full.
And Lamps at his 30+ who played 90 min last time around won’t probably be fit to play in 3 days.
But he did score a brace.

    Thoughts?

They are often pretty wrong but this is not impossible. Im fairly sure Lamps wont play, but I cant see Mata playing as well, if he will than probably 50-60 min

I actually find their prediction in terms of line up pretty correct. At least compared to goal.com.

The way I see it Mata is Chelsea's most important player currently. And he needs to start if Chelsea badly want to win.

Not sure whether Rafa thinks the same though.

Don't see many reasons for rafa to rest mata. Didn't look tired at all last match, he really want to play and is a key player for Chelsea in his role. And there will be plenty of opportunities to rest him in the pl break.

      Bassong(whu) O'Brien(NOR) Zabaleta(STK)

      bench is Enrique & Morrison.

      >>
Wondering whether its worth a hit to get shot of Enrique for Gibbs or Sagna.
Other poss is to take hit for MF Morrison for Arteta or Wilshere maybe to cover Michu is he dont play....

Enrique is injured so id take the hit. Pointless subbing Wilshere in, he is just a yellow card magnet and rarely provides productive returns. Snodgrass, Pilko etc are far better options

sorry that was a post fail!!!!

To respond I would say that Pienaar is a generally solid FF player, he outscored Fella in first 7 weeks, then Fella went a bit golden boy. If F is back to golden ways, then if the price difference enables you to get someone else in who is amazing maybe Pienaar will keep on justifying hself...?

I have 1 FT and £0.7m in the bank.

    Begovic, Ruddy

    Nelsen, Enrique, Demel, Cuellar, Gorkks

    Mata, Michu, Bale, Walcott, Sterling

    RVP, Aguero, Berbatov

    Was thinking a -4 for:

    In: Sagna, Bassong
    Out: Enrique, Gorkks

    Thoughts please?

Interesting picks, think Simpson is injured mind. Broken toe or something.
You thought of considering getting a cheapy keeper (4.2m or less) and just playing Bego every week?

Thanks for comments. I'll keep an eye on Simpson. Like to play a home keeper each week if possible and they rotate well. Have slipped from 13k to 30k in 2 weeks so planning an early wildcard tomorrow.

Lennon with the better fixtures and in decent form.

If you already have Bale, Fellaini
If you already have PIeenar, Lennon

If you don't have both.. flip a coin.

Copying from last page of previous post.

Wondering about the same as well..

    FERRIS BUELLER'S ROTATION RISK SAYS:

General question to those who’ve been playing FPL some time; is it best strategy to play for value as well as points? To illustrate my point, if getting rid of Enrique would you consider Gibbs due to potential price-rise (and chance to gain extra team value before WC), even though Azpil/Nasty have more chance of an immediate points return this GW from a CS?

    Hope that makes sense!?

You bring in Gibbs cause he is less likely to get rotated than the 2 mentioned and bc he has a DGW in 2 weeks also not impossible that he may get some points before that. The price rise is a bonus, at least that was my thinking in the same situation
