A somewhat vague Michael Laudrup reveals there’s “a possibility” Michu could return against Villa tomorrow. Newcastle are without Danny Simpson for the next “three to four weeks” according to Alan Pardew, after the right-back broke a toe in Saturday’s loss at Arsenal.

Samir Nasri is banned for three games after City decided not to appeal his sending off at Norwich. Martin Jol hopes to have Damien Duff and Mark Schwarzer back for Fulham’s trip to West Brom. Chelsea confirm Petr Cech picked up a groin injury in yesterday’s win at Everton, Adam Lallana is ruled out again for Southampton, though Nathaniel Clyne will undergo a late fitness test. Everton lose Darron Gibson for a month with a groin injury, while Stoke’s Andy Wilkinson is expected to recover from the concussion that forced him off at the weekend in time for the trip to City. Jose Enrique misses out for Liverpool, while Sunderland, in opposition at Anfield, will be missing John O’Shea – both are stricken by hamstring injuries.

      Yes. I've got Guthrie as the cheapest possible midfield option - and with gametime likely - to allow a better 4th defender and the expensive RVP/Suarez/Berbatov front 3.

          🙂 it's a great midfield five and a viable alternative to the normal. 3-4-3. I'm doing dreadfully this year and I have to admit it's appealing. Will make or break your season for sure.

      An article earlier this year on this site (http://premierleaguefantasy.blogspot.com/) convinced me to go two big hitters at the back in the 2nd half of the season. Top teams defenses statistically get better as the year goes on. So, cheap 5th mid for me

      I like the idea of doubling up on whm defence until the dgw. All depends on when you are wildcarding. It frees up over 1m so you can get in fellaini.

        not really I reckon, but still believe that with him in the goallie, Chelsea is strong enough in defence to keep reasonable number of CSs.

      Would like mata but too much doubt surrounding his starting place.
