A somewhat vague Michael Laudrup reveals thereโ€™s “a possibility” Michu could return against Villa tomorrow. Newcastle are without Danny Simpson for the next โ€œthree to four weeksโ€ according to Alan Pardew, after the right-back broke a toe in Saturdayโ€™s loss at Arsenal.

Samir Nasri is banned for three games after City decided not to appeal his sending off at Norwich. Martin Jol hopes to have Damien Duff and Mark Schwarzer back for Fulhamโ€™s trip to West Brom. Chelsea confirm Petr Cech picked up a groin injury in yesterdayโ€™s win at Everton, Adam Lallana is ruled out again for Southampton, though Nathaniel Clyne will undergo a late fitness test. Everton lose Darron Gibson for a month with a groin injury, while Stoke’s Andy Wilkinson is expected to recover from the concussion that forced him off at the weekend in time for the trip to City.           Barnett->Harte
          Defoe in for someone but gawdknowswho.
          Not really thought of CHS as I have Mata. Lampard would be an interesting punt if he starts.

          Not sure about Haz. Seems to have gone off the boil by and large although I've thought about him in Metro. How do you see the CHS-QPR score?

            I did actually think QPR's defence were improving, but now I have lost faith, more or less. But I do not think they will be a pushover. My bet is 2-1 to Chelsea.

            I want to captain a Chelsea player, though. Mata might be rested, so I need someone else. I trust neither RVP nor Suarez this GW.

              Also, I feel I am a bit heavy in defence. Jones 4.4, Clark 4.4 and Cuéllar 4.5. I could do with one of those becoming 4.0/4.1 (but who to boot, and who to get).

              As I can field 3 defenders this GW, I think I am better off looking into my midfield. Impossible to know which one from the forward line to boot.

                Nelsen, Davies, Harte, Demel and Cuellar are the best of the ubers at this time imo.

                Have you thought about Bale->Gerrard? Or Bale->Lampard if confident of starting?

    I'm thinking about the wildcard, and contemplating heresy - is RVP really worth the price tag?

    I reckon if I lose RVP, I can make a team with a budget defence but with;

    Bale - mata - santi - michu - sterling
    Defoe - Suarez - Tevez

    ... And be better off despite the less certain captaincy pts...

    Any thoughts?

        Team value about 103.6.

        Been unlucky this season, keep getting in players who immediately get injured / suspended

        I sold Michu after he had a brief dry spell and then a tough run coming - at which he duly started banging in doubles.

      To be honest that's not really great.....

      Defoe is grand
      Suarez can be ridiculously inconsistent.
      Tevez has rotation
      Bale & Mata are good
      Santi I'm not convinced is worth the price tag.
      Michu is obviously excellent.
      Sterling is a bad choice, if you don't have RVP I'd expect you to have someone like Fellaini.

    My midfields been decimated by injury/suspension to the point where if Michu doesn't make it, I could be fielding just Gardner and Taarabt in there!

    Problem is I don't really want to get rid of Bale, Michu (since GW1) or Nolan (DGW and fixtures).

    Is doing Bale to Hazard/Mata/Walcott this week and then reversing the transfer the next week entirely stupid?

    Regarding where Fellaini will play this week, it basically comes down to will Hitzlsperger play? Everton played Hitzlsperger and Osman at CM with Pienaar, Anichebe and Naismith in the attacking three.

    Neville and Gibson's injuries seem to be the only reason Hitzlsperger is playing, plus the only other possible replacement (Fellaini) has been suspended for the last three games. With Fellaini back and Anichebe is in decent form, is there a risk of Fellaini and Osman playing CM and that front three remaining the same?
