                When you consider the fact that China push their Olympics athletes so hard from such a young age, you'd think they'd at least produce a decent XI 🙂

                    I honestly have no idea. You'd think any country that have loads of kids playing a lot of football from a young age would have lots of players in the PL etc., no matter how much coaching and money that goes into it (just look at Brazil), but it's clearly a lot more complicated than I can understand

    My favourite plan for the DDGW ....

    Save my wildcard and take an 8 point hit to do McCarthy > Turnbull and Sterling > Hazard

    Then next week, do Hazard to Caz

    Leaves me with Mata, Hazard, Turnbull and Clyne, and then next week Gibbs, Santi, Theo, O'Brien and Carlton Cole.

    Would anyone definitely NOT do this?

    Happy with my strikeforce, and Have Caz and Sagna for 23 if I just spend 4 this week I could do Hazard and Azpilicueta in for Nastasic and Silva, which would leave me Mata Haz and Azpi. Then 23 Haz to Walcott and use the winter wildcard after that?

    Any suggestions??

    So who is the better option...Luiz or Ivanovic?

    Luiz is playing DM and therefore OOP but is he really more of a threat than Ivanovic who seems to always get in the box and is a huge threat from corners. Or has Ivanovic's threat diminished a bit by playing CB and not RB? Luiz has free kicks possibly to his advantage (and penalties possibly if Lamps is off the pitch)

    Thoughts? I'm probably going to get one of them tonight

      Both solid options. You'd be aswell just to pick the one you prefer because it really is a lottery with regards to who has more scoring potential. Just depends on how each game pans out with free-kicks in the right areas or Ivanovic getting on the end of more set pieces.

            Luiz and Zaba both offer a great attacking potential also. Nasty offers none and the Ivanovic goal threat doesn't outweigh Luiz and Zaba combined.

      I brought this up yesterday and basically got shotdown, with Luiz supposedly the better pick.
      I'm not so sure, Ivanovic to me looks like scoring nearly every corner kick, and check his minutes under Benitez. Ownership is frustrating

    wildcard fever is taking hold. hadn't planned on using yet but with possible injuries to fonte and cuellar an already wafer thin defensive line has been further weakened. so i guess i'm wondering whether it would be wise to take this opportunity to fix stuff up properly. well properly .. ish. schwarzer, cuellar, fonte, gorkkss, pienaar, berb to turnbull, shaw, luiz, gibbs, bale, ruiz would be the extent of it. dang, have to head to airport soon so needed to throw out this half-constructed query

    Have had that front 3 for ages and they are not going anywhere.

    My big punt was getting Baines back in for Johnson, who did well for me.

    I'm also ignoring the Turnbull rush as have DGW Jussi and madness to get rid of Bego.

    Was happy with this and very reluctant to rip it up for this new DGW.

    So thinking just Mata for Bale and be done with it.

    GW 23 transfer was going to be Bale - Caz giving 5 DGW then back again to Bale
    GW24.

    Couple of questions re DGW 1. Will Terry be back? As Apiltisa or whatever is the only Chelsea defender I could afford and not sure if he may be rotated if Terry back.

    Second, is it worth a 4 point hit for a Chelsea defender even if they will play 2 games?

      latest quotes I heard was that Terry is still only doing warm ups and Rafa doesn't know when he will be back. Some sort of fluid build up problem. Seems like it could be a slow and complicated recovery
