Contrary to earlier reports on twitter, Juan Mata is fit and available for Chelsea’s trip to Newcastle. Petr Cech returns from a brief calf problem, though the Blues are still without David Luiz due to an ankle injury.

Dimitar Berbatov is out of Fulham’s home clash with former club United, while Steve Sidwell is also unavailable for the Cottagers. Sir Alex Ferguson has promised to make one or two changes for the visitors – he’s hoping Jonny Evans will be back and has also revealed Rio Ferdinand will feature. Ashley Young is still sidelined, however.

Mikel Arteta could return for Arsenal’s home clash with Stoke, though Thomas Vermaelen is a doubt again due to an ongoing ankle problem. Swansea’s Michel Vorm remains sidelined with a minor knee problem, casting doubts over his availability for next week’s double. Liverpool have omitted Philippe Coutinho from the squad to face City – he is “away getting things sorted” after joined from Inter. Vincent Kompany is expected to remain on the sidelines for another three weeks for City, while Peter Odemwingie won’t be considered for selection for West Brom after yesterday’s transfer deadline day drama.

All this and more is collected and collated in our team news section, where you’ll also find our updated predicted lineups.

“Rate My Team” has also been updated to reflect the very latest, the Projections will be updated very shortly.

We’ll keep you informed of any new information via our twitter feed, as always.

shirley DGW is not worth a -8 to get 3 players in, then 2 out?

well it would be -4 to get GJ, Suarez and Sturridge in then -4 to get Fellaini and Suarez out (so really just 1 DGWer I guess)

Can't you just bench them GW27? So only -4 required for 3 players, assuming you have 0 now, which would be very unusual.

What transfers should I make? 0M in bank.

    Begovic (Federici)
    Evra, Demel, Davies (GIBBS, Shaw)
    Mata, Bale, Fellaini, Walcott, Michu
    RVP, Aguero (Ruiz)

Should I just save it for next week then do Aguero & Gibbs to Suarez & Enrique/Skrtel?

I know Joe Hart is not being considered here but he's not as expensive as a route into their backline as everyone thinks he is. Consider this:

    Mignolet + Zabaleta = 11.3

    Hart + Cuellar = 11.4

Both have equal CS chances in that combination.

But Mignolet offer more saving points
and Zabaleta offers more attacking threat.
      and 0.1 cheaper.

Well, zabaleta can become one of many others if there is a hot player/team - hart can only be another keeper. It's not the total cost, it's the flexibility when you money is not tied to the keeper position.

Sterling needs to go. His run of starting games is over for this season, unless he hits amazing form. Enrique will start, just made the bench against Arsenal due to lack of fitness, has trained all week and CP said he`s fit for the weekend.

I think having Rooney as cover is fine Isacki. I would definitely want one of them and am considering:

RVP- Suarez next week for the dbl, then
      Suarez- Rooney GW27

I also have Sturridge. The extra £2mil would allow me to upgrade a mid or defender.

That's quite a clever way to negotiate it, losing RVP for the Everton trip (3 days before Real) and getting Rooney in for Suarez thereafter.

That's an interesting new twist... considering that now.

Why are people so obsessed with rotation? Yes, RVP might come off the bench one or two more games for the reminder of the season. So what? He`ll still get anywhere from 10-15 goals and 5+ assists from these games. He hasnt been injured in two years, and his fitness is as good as anyone. Ferguson has no reason to overprotect him.

I missed that this morning. Hurt my eyes.. Just skimming through the transfers in each week.

I actually would go with 5 DGW in your WC and save that -8 hit especially for Evra.
      Get GJ now.
Fellaini to Gerrard in GW 26
      GJ to Evra GW 27.
      Keep Michu.

Get GJ instead of Evra. Save you hits right there.

Think of it this way. If Liverpool conceeded and MU get a clean sheet,
you'll still be getting a -4 hit to get Johnson in for Evra.

Both has equal attacking threat. But higher risk of MU not keeping a CS.

Could be benched still. Fergie might be preserving him for Madrid...now two weeks away. And Rooney and Hernandez played well together in the FA Cup against Fulham

Yep, it's just the 8 day gap between playing against Fulham and playing against Everton.

If he doesn't start against Fulham he's surely got to start against Everton - and that's 3 days before Madrid.

    REPOST (sorry)

    A. Berba Pog

    or

    B. Save transfer. (If I don’t do the transfer I’ll have to play Punch instead of Berbs)

Just to clarify, I *need* to do Berba to Pog in order to fund a DGW'er, it's just a matter of when to do it. I would rather make the transfer this week because I feel that Pog will score more points than Punch.

    Opinions?

I see so many teams here with similar line ups involving Bale, Caz, Walcott, RVP, Mata etc. Don't get me wrong, you need several of these players in your team because they're big point hitters. But half way through the season, if you find yourself anywhere outside the top 70-100k, surely the only way to catch up is by taking bigger risks? Like throwing in a couple of new signings, making a defender (C), a block qpr defence or something, I don't know. Seems everyone has almost the same team minus a player or two on here.

I try and aim for players with low ownership. Silva, Cabaye (might swap for Sissoko), Lukaku, Samba to name a few.. Might try Taarabt at some stage!

Just on the wildcard tinkering still so not sure. Probably Begovic, Jussi, Baines, Azpilicueta, Davies, Samba, Silva, Mata, Bale, Cabaye/Sissoko, Suarez, Lukaku, Giroud, not sure about the other positions just yet!

Still think smart, relatively safe is the way to go. Losing out on near-assured points, Bale, Mata, Theo, etc., is the quickest way to fall.

Adjust as the season goes along with form, injuries and scheduling. That's where you make up ground, not by bringing in Lukaku and Samba.

It doesn't mean I neglect all of the big players - obviously Ive had players like Bale, Mata, Suarez and Baines for the long haul. I reckon you would make up ground by playing it safe yeah, you should expect a relatively high position, but if you really want to break into the top 100 you need to be willing to take a few risks that go against the evidence I reckon.

      Hi guys,

What transfers should I make? 0M in bank.

      Federici (Begovic)
      Evra, Demel, Davies (GIBBS, Shaw)
      Mata, Bale, Fellaini, Walcott, Michu
      RVP, Aguero (Ruiz)

Should I just save it for next week then do Aguero & Gibbs to Suarez & Enrique/Skrtel?

      Cheers!

I think you may find it a disappointing DGW to be honest with you.

A couple of defenders, Michu and one of Sturridge/Suarez/Gerrard is going to be the standard DGW quota I think.

I'm with you on that bit I don't think I can risk losing out on a dgw player. And I don't think Suarez is feasible for me. Probably get Sturridge and Davies. Maybe michu or coutinho
