With the Champions League nearing its climax and British teams still very much in the mix, we’ve gone back to our friends at TotelFootball to sort a fantastic deal for Fantasy Football Scout visitors. TotelFootball are offering a free Fantasy Football Scout Private Pool with a grand prize for the winner, plus a free £10 in your account, with no deposit required, so you can try out the Main Pool game too.

This means you can play TotelFootball’s Main Pool game for free for the rest of the Champions League tournament, with a chance to compete against the top TotelFootball managers for the weekly prize, whilst also fighting it out in the Fantasy Football Scout Private Pool.

They’ve even laid on prizes in the FFS Private Pool, with the winner of the league getting themselves a 16GB Apple iPad 3 Retina Display worth £399. The top three in our league will also be given free FFS memberships for the 2013-14 season and there are weekly prizes per round of free bets for the top three managers.

The FFS Private Pool – How Does It Work?

Your top 4 weekly scores in the Champions League game, from now to end of season will count towards your season total. Although you can enter up to 6 teams into each weekly game, only your top scoring team is eligible for Private Pool prizes.

To Sign Up (New TotelFootball Players)

New Players to to register their account via this link.

Once registered, click the “Home” button in the manu bar and select the Champions League Last 16: Week 2 game and click “Play Now”.

Select your team for this weekly game and then click “Continue”.

You can then enter your team into the Main Pool game as well as the FFS Private Pool. Entering our Private Pool is free you can enter the FFS Private Pool without staking money in the Main Pool.

To play the Main Pool game you will need to add a stake for that game. Your stake affects the size of your prize should you finish in the top places in the Main Pool. See the Main Pool Game section for more details on this.

To Sign Up (Existing TotelFootball Players)
If you’ve previously registered with TotelFootball via Fantasy Football Scout then all you need to do is to log in, click the “Home” button in the manu bar and select the Champions League Last 16: Week 2 game and click “Play Now”.

Select your team for this weekly game and then click “Continue”.

You can then enter your team into the Main Pool game as well as the FFS Private Pool. Entering our Private Pool is free you can enter the FFS Private Pool without staking money in the Main Pool.

The Main Pool Game – Free Bet Offer

TotelFootball have given every FFScout signup a free £10 bet – this will allow you to test your management skills against the best managers in the main pool, without risk. This means you can participate in the free FFS Private Pool and also chance your arm in the Main Pool. Your selected team can be entered for both simultaneously.

Once you have your team Champions League squad chosen, you then place your stake money for the Main Pool. The amount of stake you invest affects the amount of winnings you claim should your team be amongst the to 10% in the final rankings.

The stake money put in by all the managers entered will create the prize pot.

Your team will accumulate prize points depending on how high up you finish in the final rankings.

1st – 100 points per £1 stake invested
2nd -5th – 20 points per £1 stake invested
6th-10th 10 points per £1 stake invested
11th-20th 5 points per £1 stake invested
21st-40th – 3 points per £1 stake invested
41st – Remaining entries – 2 points per £1 stake invested

The prize pool is then divided by the total points collected by the winning managers to discover the dividend paid out per point. Each winning manager will then be paid out the per point dividend x total points accumulated.

For example:
A total prize pool is £25,000 with a total of 5,000 points accumulated by all winning managers. This will result in a payout per point of £5.00.

Payout scenarios:
You finish 1st having invested £1 on team entry, your payout will be £500.
You finish 1st having invested £10 on team entry, your payout will be £5,000.
You finish 4th having invested £10 on team entry, your payout will be £1,000.
You finish 36th having invested £100 on team entry, your payout will be £1,500.

In addition to the free £10 bet, if you sign up a new account with TotelFootball today, they will match your initial deposit up to £100.

We’ll be publishing a Champions League player picks article tomorrow, focusing on our tips for this round of TotelFootball.

Finally a reminder that TotelFootball is only available to those aged over 18 and over and, if you’re going to take up this offer and play, please gamble responsibly.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Same in defence , have fed & Pearce

With bego on the bench , don't know whether to spread the risk or go for it and double up

Although doubling up on reading defence seems wrong even typing it

    Bunn Suarez Michu Davies

0.0 in the bank, 2 FT.

Is it too risky to go without Bale and do Suarez -> Giroud and Taarabt -> Sissoko this week?

Or RVP -> Lambert, Taarabt -> Bale and Davies -> Wilson (-4)?

    A) Rooney RVP Chicha Welbs
    B) Aguero Tevez Dzeko Balo (lets still put Balo in there)

lol, ok...my bad. I guess I mean more inexperienced. For example...it's not hard to see Aguero/Balotelli being the main striker at a top team whereas it's hard to imagine Welbeck/Chicha being the main striker at a top team just yet. But I guess I might be underrating them...their role as squad players makes it hard to imagine them as main men right now.

Yeah I know what you mean. Possibly why it works better as a squad combo too. I'd take either of them at Spurs in a second.

So here is my GW27 lineup after having no WC and 4 Swans/Pool players:

    Foster (Jaaskelainen)
Cuellar - Cameron - Demel - Mertesacker (Clyne)
    Bale - Nolan - Walcott - Mata
    Lambert - Berbatov

Michu and Suarez are my subs that can't play. I have no FT left, and 2.6 in the bank. I'm a little worried about both Cuellar and Demel getting gametime, but I expect everyone else to play. That begs the question, should I do a -4 point transfer and get someone out just to be sure? I was thinking Suarez for Rooney, since he missed tonight's game with Reading.

avoid using the word 'very' because it's lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don't use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do.
