Fantasy managers were handed a heads-up of a new double Gameweek afternoon after Arsenal’s home match with Everton, originally scheduled for Gameweek 29, was moved to Tuesday April 16, or Gameweek 33 to you and I.

The fixture change is due to Everton’s FA Cup progress at the expense of Oldham last night. The Toffees are now set to face Wigan in the Sixth Round a week on Saturday and with Arsenal facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League the following midweek, there was no room for manoeuvre within Gameweek 29.

While the rescheduled date means Arsenal definitely have a double, it’s not quite as straightforward for the Toffees. Everton have confirmed that if they beat Wigan in the cup, their Gameweek 33 tie hosting QPR will be postponed, as the semi-finals take place over that weekend. With the Arsenal game now set for the midweek slot in Gameweek 33 (it will be shifted to Wednesday April 17 if Everton win), this would mean a double Gameweek for the Gunners (NOR, EVE), a single for Everton (ars) and a blank for QPR.

Luckily, we only have until next weekend before the Everton-Wigan FA Cup clash but in the meantime, the double for Arsenal looks hugely favourable. Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla will already be earmarked as potential captains – Walcott has produced three sets of double figures at the Emirates to Cazorla’s two and is likely to get the nod by many, despite being 10 points behind the Spaniard in the FPL standings. Having produced 30 points between them in Arsenal’s recent double Gameweek 23, their potential for points is obvious.

If City play Wigan on the Wednesday, they have Everton away at 12.45 three days later.

Aguero to be rested for the Wigan game.

    Man United vs Wigan..

Who do you want to win, and who do you think will win?

To be perfectly honest I wouldn't mind United winning, as I hate how almost everyone puts Madrid/Barca/La Liga on a pedestal when compared to the Premier League.

I think Madrid will win 3-2 though.

      (Checks personal fixture list)

Demel is on that lists so yes, but obviously wait til Fri/Sat for more news. That being said is Newcastle away with Stokes punch you in the face from worth it?

Interesting thoughts regarding Huth. I'm also planning to get rid of Begovic asap, probably for De Gea. I forgot to mention I have 1.7m in the bank so I will use that money to upgrade Davies to someone like Enrique. (Just short of doing Demel > Enrique)

    Begovic, Bunn
    R. Martin, Shawcross, Harte, Zabaleta, Johnson

Well...a late sub isn't out of the question. I mean maybe Norwich will be stubborn and go ahead or be drawing at 60 mins. You'd imagine he might use RVP in that case.

If theres even a slight niggle with RVP, no way he`ll play. I reckon he`s only about 10-15% to start even if 100% fit. Remember Fergie said he woulda rested him against Everton if it werent for City`s screwup the day before.

The thing is, I was quite vocal on here about how much I thought those words by Fergie were disingenuous. He says a lot of things and I think his words need to be taken with a pinch of salt sometimes.

If I were Fergie, which I realise I'm not, and RVP was fit, which I realise he might not be... I'd want to start him, batter Norwich, sub him off around 60 mins, and make City go to Villa on Monday evening 15 points behind.

The league is as good as finished anyway with 12 points, and they should be able to cope fairly easy without him against Norwich. Real is such a tough game, theyll need everyone fresh.

I don't see them being stubborn to be honest, I can see the game being won by the 60min mark, and RVP either starting or staying benched.

The injury thing does make it that much more likely that RVP will be benched, but given City's fixture this week, Fergie won't want the gap closing so I don't see it as an absolute certainty.

Fergie doesn't accept draws though. It's win at all costs. If it's 1-1 or they are 2-1 down at 75mins and RVP is sitting there on the bench, I don't think he's going to say...oh well, I guess we'll just hold on for the draw! Stay seated RVP!

I don't think Fergie's the type of guy who would do a Laudrup vs Liverpool. I think if they were losing or drawing, it has to be RVP time. That's just my opinion. He's brought him on for 15/20 mins before CL games earlier on in the season (e.g Wigan)

Mark, I think Sissoko (and possibly Cabaye) deserves a 'Monitor' article. Or a 'Versus.'

I have played around with this table and looking at his stats, he is not top 5 attacking midfield material but he is not far behind. Interestingly, there isn't much between him and Cabaye in terms of stats. Cabaye's set piece and penalty duties may just edge him ahead of Sissoko.
