With their blank Gameweek 27 now out of the way, Liverpool’s favourable set of upcoming fixtures is sure to see plenty Fantasy managers consider Brendan Rodgers’ side as a potential source of points. Factor in the current Gameweek 29 conundrum, with eight sides currently without a fixture, and the Reds’ appeal merely increases – with many premium priced defenders out of the equation, many will be looking to freshen up their backline ahead of the impending fixture chaos. Our latest article for members take a look at the respective displays of Liverpool pair Jose Enrique and Glen Johnson ahead of the weekend deadline as both full-backs make their way onto Fantasy radars.

When was the last time you predicted a player's gametime correctly based on putting yourself in the manager's shoes?
Open Controls-
It's never happened yet.
Open Controls-
I wasn't expecting to hear that at all 😆
I really think you might as well aim at a dartboard.
I have no idea what Moyes is gonna do with Fellaini or Anichebe, but hopefully something good, because if neither plays I'll be counting on Pearce to field 11.
"Now I'm sure McDermott will want to drop Morrison for Pearce after that shocking loss to Wigan..."Open Controls

Every GK 90 mins almost every week 😉

My little lad asked me a couple of weeks ago if i knew of any goalie that had been substituted because they were having a bad game....and in forty years of watching footy i couldn't name a single one...
Open Controls-
Di Canio subbed off his keeper after about half an hour because he was playing badly. Think it was at Swindon.

It's irrelevant as we don't have access to all of the information.
More importantly, we also don't know what the manager is thinking. Quotes don't help with this as they are often intentionally misleading.Open Controls
-
-
Since we're going to be beating this drum all day...
The Madrid game isn't until Tuesday night...Norwich game is midday Saturday. Plenty of time to rest if you only play ~60 minutes.Open Controls-
So why did fergie say he was going to rest the big boys for the Everton game at 4pm Sunday with the Madrid game 3 days later?
Open Controls-
But he didn't rest them, did he? We can only be guessing what he WOULD have done had the City result been different... 😀
Open Controls

-
Plenty of time to get injured which is how I'd look at it if I was the manager and had strength in depth like SAF does. Looking at player's history RVP is injury prone, he's their best striker and will be needed for Madrid whereas 1->2 of Hernandez, Wellbeck and Rooney can easily get the job done against Norwich. RVP is needed injury free versus Madrid.
Open Controls -
The bigger factor is that it's in Manchester. The 1st leg was in Madrid and there was less time between that the Everton game, where he played.
RVP to get 60-70 mins for me. Been banging this drum all week!Open Controls -
Can't have him injured now, can we? 😉
Open Controls -
RVP will start and play 45 to 60 mins
Open Controls-
😀
Open Controls -
With Hernandez, Welbeck and Rooney, do you really think he will risk it?
Open Controls-
He's been 'risking' RVP all season, including vs. Everton, which was 3 days before the AWAY leg in Madrid.
I think a lot of this talk is based on peoples fears rather than the realities.Open Controls-
Massive difference between versus Everton and versus Norwich, and this is further along in the season. If they lose against Madrid they're out of the Champions League what happens in the worst case scenario that they lose against Norwich which I can't see happening even without RVP in the squad?
Open Controls -
this ^^
Open Controls
-
-
I definitely don't and a mate of mine that's a Man U season ticket holder has always stated that RVP was never going to play against Norwich this weekend so close to The Madrid game when he has other very decent upfront options and this was even before the injury/bruise last weekend
Open Controls -
I'm thinking RVP needs some playing time to have him fully match fit for the RM game. He played 40 mins last weekend and needs some game time imo
Open Controls-
The "risk" factor is part of the game and not something Fergie will shy away from
Open Controls-
OK. We'll see soon enough, care to place a bet?
Open Controls-
What could we possibly bet?
Open Controls-
Gravs for the week, some kind of forfeit.
Psychobingo is going to eat his own socks.

Open Controls-
I have both of them and I am playing Bunn too
Open Controls

Simple question:
Who do you bench: RVP or Dawson?Open Controls-
-
I suppose that makes sense, if he starts on the bench he's more likely to stay on it rather than get a 10 minute cameo.
Open Controls
-
-
Do you believe the last Wigan victory shows they can beat Liverpool?
Open Controls-
They definitely CAN beat liverpool.. I just don't think they will.
Open Controls-
Well, based on their form I mean... Although I must say that the numbers against Reading can be deceptive...
Open Controls
-
-
Not last victory indeed, it is the form of Wigan last few years in the second half of the season.
Open Controls
-
-
Dunno if this'll help anyone, but given that a lot of us are in a similiar situation this is my front 8, in order of how well I think they'll do this week:
Lambert > Suarez > Bale > Mata > Walcott > Fellaini > Michu > RVP.Open Controls-
Considering Lambert (c) myself now that Fellaini is a doubt
Open Controls
-
-
Lambert will rise tonight! Do RVP --> Lambert before prices change or hold on til deadline for breaking news?
Open Controls-
I really think selling RVP has bigger implications than a 0.1m price drop.
Open Controls
-
-
I've still done RVP > Suarez.
I prefer Suarez this week, and then I have him for the rest of the season too.
RVP might start, he might score, but personally I don't see it. He won't get over an hour, I'm absolutely sure of that.Open Controls-
So 60 minutes against Norwich and you don't see him scoring?
Open Controls-
I don't see him starting. If he does start, he might score.
Open Controls-
Ah. Even if he's brought on I'd fancy him to score, not that there aren't better options this week.
Open Controls-
But then if United are winning after 60, will he come on?
I'm not saying he won't get gametime, I'm just saying that Suarez is a much better option for the next 2 GWs.Open Controls
-
-
-
-
+ !
I see RVP getting a 20 minute run around after the score is already 2 or 3 nil. RVP already gone for SuarezOpen Controls -
I´m more afraid of next fixture NOT being postponed to another GW!
Open Controls-
I feel as if I'll be forced to get him back, if there's a DGW. But then he might not even play in both games of a DGW, if they are still fighting on 3 fronts.
Open Controls-
So your plan includes not getting him again?
I´d say that is madness, but this has been discussed to death and if that is your plan, I´m sure the fear will talk louder to get him for a DGW...Open Controls-
Right now I'm flexible, I have the money. But if United progress against Real, then it casts doubt on just how many of the remaining 9 GWs RVP will feature in.
Remember last season, when Suarez only played the first game of the DGW because they wanted to keep him fresh for the FA Cup Semi at the weekend? This could happen again, with with RVP.Open Controls-
I agree, but do you have the guts to go into a Utd. DGW without RvP?
I know I don´t... that´s why my plan includes getting rid of him next GW(if canceled fixture) but bringing him back straight away the week after... I must say I won´t lose many value on this (0.1, 0.2).Open Controls

Open Controls

Long term yes short term it might backfire if NLD is a goal fest.
Open Controls-
It wont be. Spurs are defensively solid
Open Controls-
They have been very solid at home all season but if your going to use that logic arsenal have the best defence away from home all season which raises questions about bale as a captaincy option.

I'm probably going to spend the evening mulling over Sturridge > Lambert, having spent all week holding my transfer for next week.
I've only got Mata, RVP, Aguero and Walcott in the GW29 minefield, so should I use or save the FT? Rival has Lambert, if that makes any difference.Open Controls -
can someone remind me why cameron went of at 50mins last game? chance of him playing this week?
Open Controls-
Not sure, but Huth is banned for 3 matches so I wouldn't sell him. I wouldn't buy him either, I'd get Wilson instead.
Open Controls-
Good point ...Cameroon is a versatile player he can play anywhere in defense and MF.
Open Controls
-
-
He was playing CAM last week, could explain it.
Apparently he is likely to play CB for Huth.Open Controls
-
-
Just had a thought, all those who loaded up last DGW but then took hits to get rid are in a really silly position that they could have avoided by not taking the hits. Pool and Swan players are perfect right now.
Open Controls-
That's FPL for you. No matter how much you plan something, there's always a curve ball coming round the corner.
Open Controls -
Or if you struck a balance like me and only had 2 Swansea, 2 Liverpool then you are doing just fine 😉
Open Controls

Ddg (bunn)
Baines Davies cueller (onouha Harte)
Michu Wally bale fellaini (Maloney)
Rvp sturridge grioud……have 1ft and 2.3m
1) what’s the update on cueller and onouha…out of favor?
2) between fellaini, sturridge, rvp who have injury concerns…I need two to play atleast with Maloney replacing the third off the bench…
3) what transfers wud u recommend if anyOpen Controls-
Giroud to lambert. Is Giroud to Suarez possible?
Open Controls
-
-
Looking for a two week striker? I already have Suarez and Lambert.
Open Controls -
Bench RVP is such a stupid decision.. Even if he plays just 15 min, he can score one or two goals easily
Open Controls -
Oh dear oh dear.. I am benching Sissoko i think.. 🙁
Open Controls-
No you're not
Open Controls
-
-
Having seen the team news that both Fellaini and Anichebe are pushing for a recall, on top of that, the news that rvp is now back in the mix, I'm thinking of a front 8 of Mata, Bale, Fellaini, Michu, RVP, Suarez and Anichebe. This means dropping Walcott to the bench? Would this be considered madness by most?
Open Controls-
I'd play Walcott over Any Chubby
Open Controls-
Agree. Can't understand the thinking behind benching theo over anichabee. one game were he didn't gain points and suddenly he's bench fodder?
Open Controls -
I hear you, but thinking the NLD is normally a tight affair at White Hart Lane and if it is again then Anichebe will be a nice differential if he starts....it's gonna keep me awake all night 😉
Open Controls-
Walcott's ownership is also too big to ignore, if he does well, you will be in trouble.
Open Controls
-
-
-
Yes, you can´t bench a player that has 70% chance of being involved in an Arsenal goal(and there will be one at least) for a player that might only have a 10min. cameo(I´m talking about Anichebe)
Open Controls
-
-
Why is Moyes such a t1t
He must know if Fellaini is fit for tomorrow .Open Controls -
Did Lambert-RVP last night, will get RVP back (proba after gw29 if there is a UTD blank) Who else did this??
Open Controls -
Imagine if you sell rvp and he starts. Norwich at home is a real good fixture and it's not like the Madrid game next week is in Spain. Second guessing SAF is a dangerous game
Is it correct their blank may still be rearranged to midweek as they only need to give 1 weeks notice?Open Controls-
It's possible but becoming increasingly unlikely.
Open Controls-
based on what? hysteria on here?

8, 11, 15, 15..........
Either Bales run of form will keep going up or come crashing down. What's the longest double digit run of forms a player had? Can't be more than 4 or 5 GW's. this for me is a concern as he currently has the armband.Open Controls-
ronaldo did it every week
Open Controls -

Yo JT. I'm all over the shop.
Did Demel & Noble (for a hit) out early doors for Wilson & Sissoko (as had no slack in bank).
Now they're both currently on my bench 😀 what a nugget.
Anyways........currently shift (c) to Bale with (vc) on Lambert as know my closest rival will c Bale.Open Controls-
Ah good good, the eternal dilemma of the spotless Demel finally solved, good riddance i say 🙂
Bale is tempting, as is Lambo obviously, will toss a coin tomorrow i think 😉Open Controls
-
-
Great to see you got a green arrow even with that Noble no-show. Was spewing but Bale won me my H2H in the 90min so no dramas in the end.
Open Controls-
Tell me about it, and i had called a WHam penalty earlier that day too, shame really, he would have slotted it home had he started.
The green arrow was down to Bale and Lambo bonus' in the end. Bang in form, good times ahead.Open Controls-
Oh yeah and he scored a peno. My head nearly exploded.
Your ability not to take hits is defo helping big time. The extra 4pts would've given me agreed arrow also.
Problem is I want to win bot my ML's and sometimes, gotta take the hit, cause I've worked out what rivals are doing. So far it's working but affects overall rank.Open Controls-
Just go with your gut in the end, im sure you will finish in a tidy position, top 1k is solid either way.

i should be able to do gw 29 fielding 11 without any hits which is nice but i have some options ..
i have 2 FT , so this week
rvp > lambert ?
azpil > enrique ?
both? one or the other?Open Controls -
No Huth means more chance of game time for Wilson, right?
Open Controls-
Probably means less chance of a CS...
Open Controls -
wilson is a LB, he will start with huth or without him
Open Controls -

And what about RVP? What's the plan?
Reckon I'll start him but not captain and have Sissoko first on the bench. Giving
Bale (c) - Mata - Michu - Walcott
RVP - Suarez - Lambo (vc)
Sissoko ready to step up for RVP no-show. What you reckon?Open Controls-
Start him mate.
Sissoko is excellent cover in case of a no show.
Good team there.Open Controls

70,000 people have already transferred out RvP this week. I'd like to see that plotted against the average ranks of players selling him.
I guess the removal of the flag will slow down sales.Open Controls
