Eight Premier League matches make Saturday a potential points bonanza for Fantasy managers with heavy-hitters in the Chelsea, Everton and United ranks all handed strong home fixtures. With Luis Suarez and, hopefully, Daniel Sturridge, on show in Liverpool’s trip to Wigan this evening, the day is rounded off nicely before we move into tomorrow’s North London derby.

Our Dugout Discussion Chatroom is now receiving guests, welcoming those who wish to express views and emotion as today’s action unfolds.

The team news is dominated by United’s teamsheet at Old Trafford which, it must be said, is surprisingly strong. We have our answer on Robin Van Persie – he starts, along with Wayne Rooney in a home lineup that promises goals and potential heartbreak for those who failed to captain the Dutchman, not to mention the thousands who sold him on this week.

Elsewhere, Marouane Fellaini is fit to take his place in an Everton lineup that takes on Reading at Goodison, whilst Juan Mata is restored to Chelsea’s starting XI as expected: the likes of David Luiz, Eden Hazard, Demba Ba and Frank Lampard also start having earned a break for the midweek Cup replay with Boro. Gaston Ramirez and Jason Puncheon earn recalls to the Southampton lineup that takes on QPR, as Harry Redknapp drops Adel Taarabt to the bench at St Mary’s: with Bobby Zamora also absent, Loic Remy and Jay Bothroyd earn starts for the struggling R’s. Park Ji-sung and Junior Hoilett also come in as Redknapp rings the changes. At the Liberty, Swansea bring back Michel Vorm and Garry Monk with Gerhard Tremmel and Ki Sung-yeung dropping out. Visitors Newcastle are without the inspiration of Fabricio Coloccini in their defence – Mapou Yanga-Mbwina gets his full debut.

      As I say above - I think it was the majority view, including those of all the press, that RVP wouldn't start as it was presumed that Rooney would get the nod and that might be enough. Having said that, as I mention below and in the Preamble - if you own him, you start him. As for the armband, that's a different matter - that could hurt.
