We’re down to just 64 teams in Paddy Power Members Cup, as Gameweek 28 saw another round of managers fall by the wayside.

Former winner “Fuzzy Dunlop” remains in the mix, edging his way through to the fourth round with a narrow 75-72 victory over “Stills”. The community juggernaut that is “Evs” also rolls on – ranked 14th in the world, he disposed of his third round opponent, “ff addict” by a convincing 81-66 scoreline. As for the contributors, Paul remains in the hat, cruising to a 64-52 victory over “Schnitzengrubens”.

With a decimated Gameweek 29 providing the next round of matches, we could see some upsets next time around. The draw for the fourth round will be published tomorrow afternoon.

      But while you are on Jonty, you posted yesterday that the Bap system would be better next year as stats were going to be taken from from OPTA rather than EA but why so? Surely it's the weighting FPL put on the stats that matters rather than where they come from?
      A shot off target/blocked is the same no matter who supplies the stats? 😕

        yes this ^^^. All other football games that use OPTA don't put the same weighting on shots off target. It is something that EA Sports bizarrely does on its own to come up with its EA Sports score.
        
        Metro is a great example of how the scoring should work. The top three scorers there are pretty much always the top three in real life.

        I believe the EA one is not created solely for fantasy football, but is actually the basis for the Fifa game Team of the Weeks, so obviously in casual terms goals scorers etc are more of what they want.

        Yep that's it. Basically they've shoehorned in a scoring system that is not actually suitable for fantasy football and is designed for playing Fifa. Opta is very suitable so I'm glad they've switched.

  i've had benteke for a few gameweeks now. for my giroud replacement this week i went with remy. i like lukaku but it is questionable how much game time he gets and i don't fancy his fixture as much as i do remy's this week.

Not sure what to do this week. After doing RVP to Suarez last week I think I need to get him back soon but i want to keep Suarez so need to downgrade elsewhere. Thinking Baines and Mata are prime suspects for the chop but can't decide on a decent replacement combo.

Any suggestions for £11.7m?

  Sissoko, Snodgrass and Coutinho offer attack threat with good fixtures.
  Coutinho's game time is not guaranteed, however.

    Averaging 6.5 per match which is decent, but also has had 7/15 scores of 2 or less.

      trust me i hate the little bugger as much as anyone but i only brought him in last week for rvp and captained him for the 34 points. i'm looking forward to more this weekend and beyond. and i will have rvp back in next week too for the golden boot race.

        Suarez double points figures this season have been
        
        Away to Norwich
        Home to Wigan
        Away to QPR (which I believe was an absolute shambles by QPR, missed the match myself)
        Home to Sunderland
        Home to Swansea reserves
        Away to Wigan on the weekend (who were absolutely terrible)
        
        Which suggest he's a better captain choice against the smaller clubs, Liverpool still only have one win against a top 10 opposition this season which was against Swansea who played a reserve team before the cup final.
        
        To also add perspective, I wouldn't be captaining RVP or Aguero at home to Spurs, would be looking at alternatives.

      Only other ones that stand out are Puncheon or possibly Routledge both feel like boring transfers.
