FFS Paddy Power Members Cup – Round Three Results

We’re down to just 64 teams in Paddy Power Members Cup, as Gameweek 28 saw another round of managers fall by the wayside.

Former winner “Fuzzy Dunlop” remains in the mix, edging his way through to the fourth round with a narrow 75-72 victory over “Stills”. The community juggernaut that is “Evs” also rolls on – ranked 14th in the world, he disposed of his third round opponent, “ff addict” by a convincing 81-66 scoreline. As for the contributors, Paul remains in the hat, cruising to a 64-52 victory over “Schnitzengrubens”.

With a decimated Gameweek 29 providing the next round of matches, we could see some upsets next time around. The draw for the fourth round will be published tomorrow afternoon.

        I've gone a differential route for my keepers post Jan, its worked out though - Joe Hart + 3.9

        Yeah I wanted to do transfer Mata out to get a midfielder but do you really think Sess and Nzogbia are worth it?

          Technically, it's just 2 points. I'd take my chances, I think Mata's going out of most of the teams anyway, for Lamps. So it'd have a long term impact too.

      I'm not convinced on Liverpool as too solid a bet.

      Their best defensive form is at home.

      Their home games remaining are

      TOT, WHM, CHE, EVE, QPR (final day may be fighting for their lives).

      Liverpool's best fixtures are all away from home, so depends if you see them keeping cleanies in those fixtures I reckon.

      Do you own Sturridge? If so I wouldn't bother with doing RVP ---> Suarez.

      You can consider getting Benteke or Lambert or someone for RVP though.

      Often the benefit isn't immediate. That's what I'm telling myself after getting 65 on my WC last week - I'll see the benefit this week and beyond.

      I think the only one which is quantifiable is the DGW option, which I'd say was worth about 20pts. a & c are counteractive - if you maximise the immediate impact you reduce the long term benefit and vice versa. Over a long enough timeline the benefit approximates to zero.

        Cheers for the responses. 20 pts for a DGW is common. I am penalizing WC team 11.5 points in my comps if the lower sides uses theirs. Seems a fair penalty going of the responses. 🙂

          They're are both on my radar as is lampard. I'll be getting Rooney or rvp next week so I'll just keep an eye on them all for the next couple games at least. Might not even get any of them.

          Zabaleta is a keeper till the end of the season for me to be honest. I dont see any other defence apart from Liverpools that I fancy at the moment.

    I have to admit, I'm not very learned in the talents, form and potential of Lukaku and Benteke as FPL options. Haven't even considered them to have done my research well enough

      Both of them can be very explosive as they're both takings lots of shots (from in the box too).
      I've gone Benteke, because I believe if Villa need to survive then they need Benteke to do well*.
      Thats about it really

      *Also Yakubu showed us last season that we shouldn't ignore a cheap striker just because their team is threatened by relegation

            How I put them in order of list - Rooney > Nani > Kagawa. Actually, it's a tie between Nani and Kagawa. Since Kagawa didn't earn a start against Madrid, he looks certain for a start while Valencia might earn a start as well at the expense of Nani who started the previous game.
