Having failed to produce any attacking returns in his last three appearances, and with no league fixture on his agenda this weekend, Juan Mata is being sacrificed by significant numbers of Fantasy managers in an attempt to address the conundrum that is Gameweek 29. The Spaniard has been sold on by over 46,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, more than any other player so far but with three home games in four following directly on from his blank (WHM, sou, SUN, TOT), the potential for points is just around the corner. In this latest article for members, we take a look at his recent displays to ascertain whether there is any reason behind his current malaise.

Out of interest what would be people's top three defenders, midfielders & strikers for GW29?
Open Controls-
Santon Debucy GJ
Sissoko Gerrard Snodgrass
Suarez Sturr CisseOpen Controls-
Do you really think Snodgrass and Gerrard are better than Bale this week?
Open Controls-
Fixturewise yes I do. Bale is in the form of his life but Liverpool are a tough nut to crack at anfield (bar WBA and Villa). I think fiixtures favour Snoddy and I cant chose Bale over Gerrard. Fixtures over form for me

My Indian colleague says that about 90% of epl followers there are Man U supporters. Rest 10% are Chelsea. I assume it to be similar in most of Asian countries. Gives lot of credibility to Forca's 'glory hunters ' analysis. Any Indians here refute this breakup ?
Open Controls-
I wouldn't assume all Asian countries are the same, that is an extremely lazy presumption
Open Controls -
Random percentages + sweeping assumption = meaningless exercise
Open Controls -
People are frontrunners, no doubt. However, there is a certain logic to it. If you're not from England, you're only going to be able to watch matches on TV, big clubs are on TV more and it makes sense to support a team you can watch.
Open Controls -
Somebody tell Arsenal that their Asian tours and marketing are not working then.

ok anything worth a -4 in this lot? and (c) suggestions please
Migs
Davies, Turner, Pearce
Michu, Bale, Sissoko
Suarez, Sturridge
Bunn, Rafa, Zaba, Theo, Fellaini, Pog.
Taking Pog out is not an option as he's my key to Sturridge to RvP next week.Open Controls-
I dont get why would you get rid of Sturridge as he is probably the best value forward when fit. Id use the cash you have to remove Fellaini or Pog
Open Controls-
because Suarez going for the golden boot will surely outscore him. The 'when' is also a big thing, Suarez plays every game.

benteke and RooniOpen Controls -

Replacing Aguero with Benteke instead of Suarez is suddenly appealing...surely that would be ridiculous folly?
Open Controls-
I'd prefer Suarez
Open Controls -
I decided on Aguero > Benteke the other day
But has made me question my Fellaini > Nzogbia.
Double Villa scares me!Open Controls-
Oooft, rather you than me! I'm going Fellaini -> Sissoko with my other FT I think.
Open Controls-
I have Sissoko already.
Think Benteke is the best out of Lukaku, Lambert, Cisse at the moment considering penalty duties guaranteed mins on the pitch.
Not sure who to do instead of Nzogbia though. Money no option, but then midfielders with a game this week are generally punts.Open Controls

ok pick your favourite pairing
a) RvP and Sturridge
b) RvP and Suarez
c) Rooney and Suarez
d) Rooney and SturridgeOpen Controls-
I have d, but b is probably the best or c if RVP's form doesn't improve
Open Controls -
B easily
Open Controls -
ID like to have Rooney sturridge and Suarez for the next couple of weeks.
Open Controls -
-
God that's a tough one. I think I'm leaning towards RVP and Suarez, as expensive as it is. The risk of Sturridge missing more matches due to injury has really lessened his appeal to me, although I think he'll do really well when fit.

Isn't there a scenario where their GW29 fixture gets rearranged for midweek GW33, they go through the cup and they're home game v.s WBA in GW33 gets postponed, leading to one GW33 fixture (against Wigan) and a future DGW including the postponed WBA game?
Open Controls-
In other words, they defo have a favourable home game in GW33 and a DGW with at least one favourable home game:

Btw Forca's antics about Glory hunters earlier i know him from a game we play, hence we're in a same league, he says he is a fan of inter, united and bayern munich, has never been to a live football game and watches streams all weekend, thanks.

A little story.
A few of the fans were early when it came to watching football in this country. I live in Mumbai, India and most of us fans were students who couldn't afford going to Old Trafford (a lot of us have visited the stadium, a few of us have seen games). But we were aching to experience the stadium like experience, here in Mumbai, with fellow United fans. This gave birth MUFCM - Manchester United Fan Club, Mumbai. This group has organized more than a 100 screenings here in this city, educated fans about chants/history and are even planning to organize a joint visit for a game in a couple of seasons. Aditya_reds(also Indian), who this group has tied up with is a very popular face from Youtube, producing the most watched Man United videos on Youtube. I am happy to say, that there are similar such clubs with incredibly passionate fans from Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Tottenham and Man City. Lots of similar clubs for non-English clubs as well, but the English premiership is easily the most popular league in the country.
This group is now 5000+ member strong in Mumbai alone. There are joint screenings between fan clubs as well when they meet, and yes, there have been more than a few physical brawls.
To really get a feeling of this group is doing, i urge you to take about 2-3 minutes of your time if possible and watch these.

Forca's trolling aside, i just thought some of you might find this interesting.
This group is incredibly passionate and i can say the same for our counterparts from other clubs.Open Controls-

Open Controls -
Nice one. Supporting a club is a state of mind, a passion for that club and it doesn't matter where you come from with regards that.
I for one am proud that the EPL reaches communities far and wide and attracts people to support clubs in our country. Yes, the more successful clubs have more followers, that follows through exposure and being attracted to the brand of football that club plays. I'd love Newcastle to attract a wider global following but Newcastle being part of the EPL is exciting enough for now 🙂Open Controls -
This lost all credibility when you lied to us by the second word.
Open Controls-
😆 hehe.

don't you have local clubs in Mumbai?

Have to leave at the moment, but to keep it short, money in cricket. Football is picking pace though.

Trying to polish this festering turd of a team for GW29. How's this looking for a 4 pointer? Gives me 10 players:
Zaba, Fellaini, Guthrie > GJ, N'Zogbia, SissokoOpen Controls -
pepole should stop talking about forca and get focus at their fpl teams
-switch back to 3-4-3
-get cisse before he catch up from
-Rooney insated of RVP untill end of the season
-planing for dgws and stuff like that
if you want to i will stop postig crazy posts and i if you feed the troll he will be even worse 🙂
for example i was simply delighted my Modric goal yesterday and when i posted that people jumped and start harsh me without any resons
later on i did same by saying no more england teams in UCL ( it was really comeback move)
i know majorty of you are mature enough and you should act like adult persons (talking from my perspective since i know that i messed up)
and my glory hunter post was bullshet as well since i do like Inter and UTD
having say this i am glad that Real beat city only cause Modric has scored (i am croat and i can't go against myself)Open Controls -
Juve -1 is evens at PP. Decent price imo
Open Controls -
wow just ran a comparison of Rooney v RvP over the last 6 GWs.
Rooney destroys RvP.Open Controls-
...but RVP is top dog still.
Open Controls -
RVP owners can't afford to switch though!
Those who sold RVP for Suarez are in a good position come the United DGW.
I reckon they will score similarly anywayOpen Controls-
Can conceivably see myself going in with both.. particularly if Suarez' price continues to climb
Open Controls-
Depends on the other DGW options available that week but yes, it's a possibility.
Open Controls -
Thinking about it, the other DGW teams have their main attacking targets in midfield, with the exception of City (and Fulham)
If United and City's DGW is the same week, I can see myself going with 1 City and 1 United striker.

Thinking Sturridge (c) if he is confirmed fit and available in the presser later this week.
At the moment it's on Bale.
Thoughts?Open Controls -
This is mine:
Gw29:
Mignolet(Federici)
Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, McAuley, Bertrand*
Bale(c), Michu, De Guzman
Van Persie*, Lukaku(vc), Lambert
Subs: Federici(Mignolet); Walcott*, Fellaini*, Baines*
(non-players with asterisks) I think that I may stick with that.Open Controls-
Don't fancy another transfer to get rid of Bertrand?
Open Controls-
No, not really. I have contemplated Wilson, but I have dropped the idea.
Open Controls
-
-
I'd be tempted to ditch Bertrand - given he's a non-player anyway, it makes sense to change to Wilson/Clyne, imo
Open Controls -

Giroud to Lukaku.
Open Controls

hmm, Kostja may have a point. Pool's fixtures for the next few weeks after Spurs look very good
is Rooney, Suarez and Sturridge too much?Open Controls-
That's what I may be doing
Baines, Fell, RVP & Pog --> Enrique, Sissoko, Suarez & Remy this week (-8)
Then Sturridge --> Rooney next weekOpen Controls -
I'm not too keen on them in fairness, there is only West Ham really at home where you'd be too keen on them.
QPR on the final day, but QPR "could" be fighting for their lives still.
All the best fixtures are away. Liverpool were good the other day, but Wigan were also really, really bad so hard to judge the Liverpool performance.Open Controls-
Liverpools home games until the end of the season
TOT, WHM, CHE, EVE, QPROpen Controls-
I'd be selling GW33
Open Controls-
GW34 sorry
Open Controls-
Bit more enticing, just would be a bit concerned about being doubled up top, with 3 away games unless you think they will smash them all.
Don't forget neither is on penalties aswell.
Especially as likely Arsenal DGW then and possibly Utd and City also by that point.Open Controls
