Paddy has been getting cocky of late. Several near misses have cost us, not least last week when we were just a David Silva assist away from a treble win. While Stephane Sessegnon delivered the goal we needed, Fulham conspired to notch twice at the Stadium of Light to ruin those plans. With ground to make up, then, it’s encouraging to see Paddy have prepared some rather tempting markets this week, with Gameweek 29 bringing in some unfamiliar names and lengthening the odds to offer some of the best we’ve seen for many weeks.

We like Paddy’s take on Robert Snodgrass for starters. Nestled in the Scout Picks midfield, the former Leeds man has been a great success story for Chris Hughton’s men this term and with four goals to his name, we know he’s got it in him to trouble Southampton at Carrow Road on Saturday. Paddy aren’t so sure, it seems, dangling 14/1 on a Snodgrass goal with a Norwich clean sheet against the Saints. Given that the Canaries have conceded just twice in their last four home matches, we like these odds for openers and won’t hesitate throwing £2 of our stake their way.

Moussa Sissoko is another name to find his place in the Scout Picks this week. With a role behind the lone striker and the struggling Stoke defence in town, we fancy further returns for the bustling Frenchman. Again, Paddy seem to be looking to tempt us here. They’re offering a generous looking 9/1 on a Sissoko goal with a Newcastle shutout, which, given that Stoke have scored just once in their last six away trips, looks well worthy of our bet of the week and no less than £4 of our stake.

Romelu Lukaku is another player hotly tipped for the weekend. Having missed the trip to parent club Chelsea last time out, he’ll be straining at the leash to rediscover the form that brought him three goals in his previous two matches against Liverpool and Sunderland. Swansea will be a test at the Hawthorns and, subsequently, Paddy are offering 9/1 on a Lukaku goal with a West Brom clean sheet against Michael Laudrup’s men. That seems generous again, and worth another £3 of our stake.

That leaves a single pound coin for our weekly treble, which this weeks backs goals for the in-form Luis Suarez and Villa’s Belgian target man, Christian Benteke, with a nod to Newcastle’s chances of a shut-out against Stoke. Paddy are offering up 16/1 on a Suarez goal against Spurs, a Benteke strike at Reading and a Newcastle clean sheet at home to the shot-shy Potters.

Do I take a hit to field 11? Fielding 10 atm, wildcard left so I could go for a punt:

    Mignolet,

    Harte, Davies, Debuchy (Evans, Zabaleta)

    Michu, Sissoko, Bale, Puncheon (Walcott)

    Sturridge, Lambert (RvP).

Slightly worried about Sturridge/Puncheon not starting. Thoughts?

hi guys .. i think people are going far to over the top this week with taking 8-12 points hits. its crazy, the average this week is more than likely to be 28-30 none of the the real big players aren,t playing so a 4 pointer is more than enough.. imop.

Suarez is the safe option and I think the likeliest among the top 20. It really is a little 50-50 tho as both match winners . I always say if in doubt go for the home player.

So I can field 11 if I do baines to someone playing.

People have mentioned je/gj but I am not convinced, bale might spoil their CS and besides maybe should save the spot for a dgw defender? Hence save the transfer this week and field 10?

Baines's fixtures don't look that great however. And GJ's do - if I could have afforded him he would have been straight in my team...

Stangely I haven't thought that far ahead - I normally do.

I did Baines > Samba and Fellaini > Gerrard this week, (the former funding the latter) and it's not sitting that comfortably with me. But I needed to do something last night.

May well consider Raf. Haven't looked at Man U's fixtures, but either he or GJ or Zab I reckon for next week?

Yeah, the idea is to save that spot for someone that will have a dgw soon, and you have united, city, ars all in the mix... Maybe even keep baines if the don't qualify for the cup next round.

On the other hand tempted to do something now:)

I think they will beat Wigan, and lose the v qpr match in the double. If I'm right, and if that happens, their fixtures really don't look all that good...

And the dgws haven't been confirmed yet which is a bummer. I NEED TO KNOW NOW!

Morning guys! This is how I am looking right now:

    Federici*
    Cuellar* Harte Wilson GJ
    Kebe* Michu Bale
    Sturridge Cisse* Suarez

    Bench: DDG Zab Walcott Mata

2.5M in the bank, 0FT. Anything worth a hit here?

    A) Federici -> Bunn/cheap keeper
    B) Kebe -> Sissoko, but that leaves me unable to get RVP/Rooney back and with a benching probelm most weeks
    C) Cisse out?

Any thoughts? Struggling with what to do, could potentially end up fielding 7. Finding it hard to gauge the chances of Kebe/Cuellar starting, and not sure how long Federici is out for.

Perhaps not A as I have read Ruddy is on his way back at end of March.
Yeah not too keen on B as I'm now in that boat with Siss and wondering sometimes who to bench...
Maybe Cisse > Lambert or Remy?

But perhaps not for a hit.

I'm really not sure about suarez or bale captain this time.

I don't think Bale can continue like this forever and I expect Lucas and whoever partners him to be marking him throughout the game

The Spurs defense on the other hand seems quite tight, with the amount of shots they've conceded and you'd expect the main striker (Sturridge)to be able to take advantage of the high back line (if at all)

Having said that - they're both pure class so this stuff can all go out of the window in a moment

Sissoko's last two home games he scored 15, 10 points.

This weekend he plays a team bottom of the form league in 2013, and awful away from home.

Is it crazy to give him the armband over Bale, Suarez and Lambert?

Anyone filling their team with 'dead' players this week and packing bench with playing players? I know its a bit pathetic but i know it winds my rival up seeing those points come in through autosub later on. I've set my team up so all tomorrows players are in the starting XI and todays players on the bench so i'll have 0 points on the board tonight.

It may be the only fun i have this week so i'll take it!
