A trio of Newcastle players register some impressive attacking statistics as we sift through the data from the Gameweek gone by. Romelu Lukaku’s consistent goal threat earns the West Brom forward a place in the top 10 of our ICT rankings, while we take a look at some stand-out stats from midfield in our latest article for members. Our members can examine all the numbers from the weekend action via our tables, charts and maps but, as always, we’ve handpicked the numbers that have grabbed our attention across the six fixtures played out.
just saw some really interesting thing called a ‘everyman’ sleep cycle, which you sleep for 3hours, and take 3 naps of 30mins every day.
have anyone try it before?
worth a shot?
seems like too good to be true 😀Open ControlsI prefer drinking as much as possible, falling over and sleeping for 12 hours.
Open Controlshahaha

Someone I used to work with described something very similar. Apparently it's hell for the first few weeks while your body adjusts but after that, it really does work.
You can be extremely productive (because you have more waking hours in the day) but you have to be absolutely disciplined about taking the naps or it falls apart. That doesn't fit with most working lifestyles but if you can get those naps then give it a whirl.Open ControlsI don't think messing with your sleep is a great idea, it can seriously mess up your health. It's ironic me saying this though as I'm an insomniac.
But either way, it depends on the person. I find that naps make me even more tired whereas other people feel refreshed.Open Controlsfrom what I read, many mammals also use this type of sleeping pattern, which (may) mean that our 'instinct' is the sleep the 'everyman' way, but our lifestyle changed our sleeping pattern.
I really don't know, just a wild guess really.
May give it a try in Summer Vacation 😛Open Controlsyeah suppose you've got a point
Open Controls
Funnily enough, I'm just about to have post lunch nap of about 20 minutes - being doing for 23 years and it's really beneficial.
Open Controls
id like to say that we need a comparison article on RVP v Rooney
but dont think that stats are totally relevant in this case
I get the feeling this is going to be more of a gut call.........Open ControlsPeople who own RVP now will say RVP. Someone who has neither cut can afford either, is thinking Rooney and spending the cash saved elsewhere.
Open ControlsI currently don't have either and am thinking of Rooney over RVP. Mainly because I can afford him without a hit but I also seem to remember RVP tailing off a bit last year and he seems to be doing the same now.
Open Controls
Have I missed something?
Why is RVP over Rooney a no-brainer now?
ðŸ˜
I'd really like to know as I believe it's a tighter call than it's being made out to be.Open ControlsRecent events have put a question mark over Rooney's security of start. RVP didn't start vs Chelsea so therefore, would presumably be nailed vs Reading. Is Rooney assured his start this weekend? I wouldn't have thought so with Welbeck rested too.
Open ControlsMark - could you clarify the difference between Norwich attempts on goal vs Southampton goal attempts conceded in the article?
Open ControlsManehi - I've checked the supporting stats. Norwich had 2 attempts on goal inside the box and 4 outside giving 6 in total. I think the Southampton defence line in the article should read "2 goal attempts conceded in the area..."
Open ControlsNo worries - was bugging me too! And now Mark's fixed it so we look like idiots! 😆
Open Controls
You think SAF will bench Rooney? He needs to play regular games and i' pretty sure SAF would want to keep Wayne happy.
Open Controlsthanks Mark, I agree that all these things make it a more complex choice. But I also would be surprised if Welbeck is now seen as the preferred option up front a la Anichebe over Jelavic a few weeks back.
The Real Madrid was just one game and Welbeck was played for tactical reasons more than anything. Surely with all the rumours about unrest, Fergie would prefer to shut everyone up by playing Rooney consistently?Open ControlsThis is true. But whoever plays in the hole against Reading should get the better chances as Reading are such a shambles when countered. They all seem to ball watch allowing whoever arrives late to have an unchallenged tap in.
Rooney benefited earlier in the season.Open Controls
Everyone would be more 'comfortable' with RVP. If their past record together is anything to go by though, Rooney should outscore him.
Open ControlsOver previous seasons, ignoring Rooney has slayed me. I always used to tell myself the same things; he plays to deep, can't possibly be worth the money, better to invest in differentials instead of following the herd. Not so! He has always made me pay. I realise that the dynamics have shifted now with RVP the main man up front for United, but I'm not taking any chances: both will have a place up front guaranteed in my team for the run-in. Too scared to plan for anything else!
Open ControlsIs 1/7 Van Persie not a tad overpriced for a man not in top form? Everyone's expecting United to get a bucket v Reading but have more attacking options to split FF points. The other thing is that Reading with Federici back they'll be less generous than with Taylor.
Open Controls
I survived GW29.
Open ControlsWhat was the cut?
Open Controls😀
hard luck with lukaku(c)
I was close to slapping the armband on him too, would have been so gutted, but it was the right decision...he was on for a 13 pointer which would have seen him outscore Suarez!Open Controls
I need a help on this lads
a) Fletcher (NOR) -> RVP
b) Sturridge (sot) -> RVP
c) Fletcher & Sturridge -> Suarez & RooneyOpen ControlsIs this blank in GW33 for City v West Brom and Swansea v Wigan is confirmed?
Open ControlsSo are the cowards who sold rvp last week bringing him straight back in??
Predictable!Open ControlsHow is that cowardly?
Open Controlshow do you get cowards from making a transfer to someone who is playing and then making the reverse to a better fixture.
Is this not why we have transfersOpen ControlsThis comment has been removed. Please consult our terms and conditions if in doubt on content suitable for posting on this site.
....let's see if this works....
*clicks on "!"Open Controls...and the cavalry arrives!
Open Controls
If by cowards you mean tactically astutue, then yes. 🙂
The RVP -> Suarez transfer I and many other made 2 weeks ago has turned out very very well. Think i'm gonna go without RVP for the next few weeks.Open Controls+1
Open Controls
Predictable and Smart
Open ControlsIt's predictable from me since it was my plan all along. Easiest way to negotiate the fixtures and still get enough strikers out. Cowardly? I don't understand?
Open ControlsIts a wasted transfer. It was just an easy thing to do because rvp wasnt playing. If you bring him back this week you will have lost money on him effecting the rest of your team and future transfers. Again your own fault.
Open Controls
I think "cowards" is an unnecessarily harsh term designed to draw a reaction. There's little doubt that, having been rested vs Chelsea, RVP is now primed for the weekend and against the weakest defence in the league. I think even if you've previously gone out on a limb and said you've lost faith in RVP, it looks very dangerous not to go back on that. Lose face or lose points? Good Fantasy managers will do the former. No shame in that.
Open ControlsI was the one of the ones who kept him but also had Suarez. IMO it was cowardly because if you planned right there is no way you would have got rid of rvp. Now teams are breaking there backs bringing him back in. Also cowardly meant in FF terms, not as harsh as it sounds, just basically means your chicken 🙂
Open ControlsI had both Rooney and van Persie I feel it was objective to take out the most owned for two weeks as his price was bound to crash.
It seems absurd to me that people can throw these unseemly generalisations about without giving thought to all possible scenarios.Open Controls
*cowards should be replaced with "intelligent people"
Open ControlsRVP out and Suarez in for two weeks as captain.
How could I have been so stupid?
Oh yeah, I get to bring RVP back in at the price I sold him at too now for Sturridge
I'm so ashamed of myself.Open ControlsIf i break into the top 1,000 this week I may just do that 😉
Open Controls
😆 I lost 0.2m on him, probably won't even get him back in and gained about 40 points. Oh no that may cost me a 4pt hit somewhere down the track... 🙄
Open Controls
Tevez is looking very cheap... Must be nailed on now.
Front 3 of Benteke Rooney and Tevez looking good?Open ControlsGinkapo - Our names now show properly on the team! 😀
Open ControlsI noticed, I did enjoy reading the 50 emails on the subject though 😀
Open ControlsPS - not sure about the new strip ... 😆
Needs green #108000 in there somewhere - for the Gin bit! 😉Open Controls
Stop feeding the troll guys.
Open ControlsTeam for the week:
Bego
Turner/Enrique/Zaba
Mata/Bale(v)/Walcott/Sissoko
Rvp(c)/Rooney/Sturridge
Davies/Kebe/Mariappa. Fine?Open ControlsNew Fifa career on Legendary
a) Werder Bremen
b) Hamburg
c) Athletic Bilbao
d) Marseille
e) Sampdoria
f) Wigan
g) NewcastleOpen ControlsIccardi is very good
Open Controls
Begovic, (Jaaskelainen)
Zabaleta, Turner, Harte, Clyne, Davies
Mata, Bale, Michu, Walcott, Puncheon
Lambert, Sturridge, Benteke.
A: Lambert--> RVP
B. Lambert--> RVP and Sturridge-->Suarez for a hit.
C: Lambert--> RVP and Clyne--> Rafael for a hit.
D: Sturridge--> RVP and Puncheon--> Sissoko for a hit.
Dropped from 4k and 14k in three weeks. Can't really understand where I'm going wrong. :/Open ControlsCurrent mid and forwards:
Michu, Bale, Walcott, Mata, Sissoko
Benteke, Suarez, Pog
(1FT, 8.1m)
Do I stick to the original plan and do Benteke -> RVP or try to squeeze him in for Pog in which case I need to find 1.3m and take a hit?Open ControlsOnly do it for a hit if you can find a hit that buys you another DGW player. And not a Wigan one.
Michu > Pienaar? Ugh.Open ControlsCould do Pog and Michu -> Pienaar and RVP (-4)
Open ControlsThat does mean a major benching dilemma
Open Controls+1
Open Controls
Play Wilson or Davies?
The remainder being enough bench cover I hope. Got Puncheon and Onuoha as 2nd and 3rd sub but going to save my transferOpen ControlsQ for the Scouts...
If the FFS league wins the league of leagues, who gets to keep all the prizes??Open ControlsHave to put my hands up & admit to being one of the -5 people who got rid of Townsend before this GW. 2 days later & i'm still sick. They saying is wrong, time doesnt heal all wounds. ðŸ™
Dropped Sissoko already this GW so anyone out there looking for a guaranteed multiple goalscorer this weekend should get him in.Open ControlsRibbery out and Robben a doubt - Some good news for Arsenal at last
Open ControlsWhoever at the start of the season worked out what colour code transparent was in the fpl team strip creater. Can I just point out you can just "transparent" into the box....
Open ControlsHow did sturridge play yesterday?
Open ControlsA'noon all,
I'm thinking save the FT this week - agree? Subs look ok? I ultimately want to swap out Migs for DDG and get in Azpil for Jevans but am planning to wait a bit until fixtures are confirmed.
Mig (Bunn)
JEvans - Zab - Davies
Mata - Bale (vc) - Michu - Sissoko - Walcott
RVP (c)- Suarez
Subs - JRod, Wilson, Harte
Cheers !Open ControlsPretty much the same team as me there except Begovic got Mig.
Subs bench is Clyne, Turner and Anichebe.
Think you'll be good there. Save the FT unless you want to maybe swap Rodwell out?Open ControlsTa, that is J Rodriguez on the bench, the s'hampton striker. I'm tempted to play him instead of sissoko but going with siss at the mo
Open Controls
What do you think?
Sturridge & Lambert > Tevez & Rooney?
Lambert > RVP?
Lambert & Davies > Rooney & Rafael/Zabaleta?Open ControlsTwo freebies?
Open Controls
Looks as though I'l have to go without Suarez until the end now. Scared.
Open Controlswhy do I have this naggling feeling that the United-Reading game will be a low scoring tight game?
Is it because united have yet to disappoint at home against a minor team yet?
Or is it with the tight City-Reading game in mind?
Or is it becasue Reading are decent at defending when they are not trying to win a match?
Or is it becasue RVP has gone off the boil and Rooney allegedly is fat again?
I really dont know.Open ControlsNeither does SAF 😉
Open Controls
Mark I think there's an error in this article mate. It says Norwich had six attempts and Southampton conceded two attempts.
Open ControlsThe Bunn/Cesar combo has been incredible value. Move over Vorm/Krul 🙂
Open ControlsThe one vote Kun got on the (c) poll was me btw.
Open Controls😆
